Title: I have a question.
Post by: Silverhawk79 on December 08, 2008, 12:54:43 PM
Okay, so I'm trying to burn Outlaw Star onto some DVD-Rs. My question is...is the recordable time for playable DVDs limited by the "120 minute" thing on the disc, or is it limited by the 4.8GB size? Nobody seems to quite know the answer, though I suspect it's probably the first one. :(

Yes, in terms of video files burning onto discs it is usually limited by the time limit itself. Frankly I don't understand the size limit because it always ends after the time limit....

The size limit is for when you make a data disk.

I suppose that makes sense but at that point I'd rather use a flash drive X_X;;

It's nice for if you want to do data back ups without buying an external drive.

True, but you know how finnicky discs can be...
That's just my personal preferance though, I haven't needed discs for data stuff yet...
