Title: Headaches/Migraines
Post by: Thirdkoopa on April 08, 2010, 03:33:58 PM
Any tips on solving these? I've been having a huge one all day that just won't go away.

I get them based on the weather. Tea usually helps, but there is no real fix. Narcotics can sometimes be your only option (one I refuse).

Drink lots of water, avoid bright lights and anywhere noisy, and take aspirin.

At the point of being a migraine, this will only ensure it doesn't get worse. It rarely actually helps it.

Well then sleep. I rarely get headaches that bad, but when I do, I just lay down and try to sleep. If you take a couple aspirin with a full glass of water first, it takes it away. For me anyway.

Whenever I get severe headaches or migraines, I just tend to lie down and close my eyes for a bit, massage my temples and forehead, making sure the blood vessels are a little bit more relaxed. Avoid sudden temperature changes and all sorts of impulses from the outside world.

Excedrin PM. Shit works MIRACLES on migraines.
It's also the only medicine I bother to take. It's amazing.

Damnit, i have a bad migrain but that goes away with good sleep or just eating something good. I never usually need to take pills for it.
