Game makr 6 help

I have a few questions about Game Maker 6.

• 1. How can I make a main menu in my game?
  2. How can I make a multiplayer and a single player in my game?

It's been a long time since I used Game Maker 6...I didn't have the resources to make a decent game with it.  Go to gamingw.net for help...if it's up.

Game maker is just plain annoying.

Dev-C++ is sooooo much better, but you need to know C++.

Ok, here's the deal:

Make the beginning room as a menu, and set it so that when the icons are clicked, it preforms a room transfer to the real game.

There's alot of stuff that I left out, but if I put it in, I's be typing here for a while, and I don't plan on doin' that. Sorry to kinda leave you in the dark, though.

BTW, how can I create a health bar in my game and when I get hit my health goes down?
