Title: Do you EV train?
Post by: Doodle on April 21, 2008, 01:58:39 PM
I never used to. But to toughen up my Pokemon, I decided to. So I'm EV training my Umbreon right now.

Also, for some reason my G/S/C Revamps thread got locked...

Only for online play, and when I'm bored.

Not usually. When I tried it with my (untouched) Jolteon, I was sure I had gotten to 510, but then I went to the effort ribbon person with Jolteon in front and they didn't give me the ribbon. I went and battled more Pok?mon but  still nothing.  :-\

I tried once. It got boring after a half an hour >_>

Eh, sort of, but I'm not really the type that would EV train to make one stat ridiculously high. I prefer a balance of the most important stats, which of course depend on the Pokemon's movesets and other factors.

Same here for me... I try to make it so the stats are balanced for the most part, and I tend to try to strengthen up any of the weaker areas of the Pok?mon's stats as well.

Why don't you just give it to a Bidoof and trade it so he can keep it?

Pokerus is really easy to spread once you have it.

In about 20 minutes, I spread it to over 60 pokemon. I'll never lose it.

I'd gladly give it to people, except that I can't do DS wifi at home.

Yep, it'll stay there forever.

Also, a quick tip (though it may be obvious) for anyone who only has a couple pokes with Pokerus- Spread it to random pokemon in your PC that you won't ever use, but you won't release. That way, if you screw up and lose spreadable pokerus on all of the pokemon that originally had pokerus, you have a nearly endless supply of pokerus; just spread it to new pokemon and immediately put them back.

Yea, I EV train, but suck horribly at it... I lose patience quite easily when trying.

I sort of have the patience. I just lose track sometimes...  :P
I write it down, but I only write it down like every 10 or whatever. I don't feel like getting up every single time.
