Reaper has been keeping us updated over at Boyah, with screenshots that are being posted on /v/. Some might have been taken from Brawl Central, but the others are probably screenshots obtained some other way.

Oh, and for ROB, it looks like his playability is normal, not just for some special mode. He seems to be on the roster.

Yeah, it looks like SSE has certain characters team up through the story and you can probably switch between them unless a circumstance makes you use a certain one.
