Confidence Is The Death Of Me. (MKW)

It's weird, when I'm winning and I get confident and think I'm gonna win, get next to the finish line, then BAM something hits me, anything, then I get like 7th place...
But when I think I'm gonna lose, I pwn, second place then I shoot a green shell and the computer turns and hits it, then I win.
Does anybody else die under confidence?
