Which one did you get in general?

With all the pokemon games.

Personally I can't remember with D/P which one I played but with others I always ended up getting both of them. Silver/Gold I picked Silver both times. I played through Saphire before ever touching Ruby much, same with Blue over Red and Fire Red over Leaf Green.

Yellow.
Gold, brother got Silver. Neither of us got Crystal.
No 3rd Gen.
Both Diamond and Pearl. Later bought Platinum.
Heartgold. Friend got Soulsilver.

2nd gen was Crystal. My brother played Gold.
3rd gen was Sapphire, then Emerald. No one got Ruby. My brother got both FireRed and LeafGreen.
4th gen was Diamond. My brother bought Platinum, eventually.
And I got SoulSilver and my brother got HeartGold.

Borrowed Red; got to the Elite 4, but lost interest before beating them (this was by the time R/S were new, but it was still the first I "had;" my previous Pokemon experience was strictly Smash Bros and friends' Pokemon Stadium).

Missed 2nd completely; strange, seeing as how it's my favorite due to the Pokemon in it.
