My dad described this movie to me, and now I need to watch it:
There is this guy who is wondering the US. Eventually, he finds this Podunk town with extraordinarily nice people. He even makes a couple of friends. But the townsfolk find out that, he is actually there to commit suicide, and so everybody in town is betting on which day he will do it.

I BELIEVE it's a comedy/ romantic comedy cross, but I'm not sure.
