Prologue:
About 150 years ago, a country called "Seremenoss" started its empire. It quickly took over most of the western part of the world. Millions of innocent men, women, and children were slaughtered. Finally, Xerasu, Trachnii, and the rest of Rhyasin joined together to defeat this dictatorship. After an intense war, Seremenoss finally surrendered, and Kremia was born.
Fast forward 50 years, to when Kremia had several civil wars, called the Knight wars. Thousands of Kremians died from the intense bloodshed. These wars lasted for over 90 years.
Now look at today. Xerasu, once the top nation, has given up its peaceful democracy for a militant dictatorship. History as we know it will repeat itself. Who will use side with?
Countries:
Xerasu: A people devoted to all things military.
Strong and courageous, but also very poor economically.
Xerasuan.
Kremia: Kremia is a country with several uprisings.
There are about 10 every month! However,
most of the quality Kremians live in the nearby mountains.
Kremian.
Rhyasin: A peaceful country that hasn't
been in a war for nearly a century. It's capital,
Rhyasin City, is both the economic and peace capital of the world.
Rhyasinian.
Trachnii: Trachnii is the scientific nation,
leading all others in technology. However,
it's military is very weak.

Attack based:
1. Fighter: Fighters, or Warriors, have basic stats. They use a sword.
2. Mercenary:A type of class that is a bit slower than a soldier, but higher attack/vitality. Can use a variety of weapons.
3. Dragoons: Dragoon's, or Dragon Knights, are the slowest and most powerful class. Uses a sword/type of sword.
4. Ninja: Ninjas are the fastest and least powerful attack type.
Uses a sword or hand to hand.
5. Thief: Thieves are a bit slower than ninjas, but possess the ability "mug". Thieves can use a variety of weapons.
Magic Based:
1. Geomancer: Geomancer's use the power of the environment to damage the opponent.
2. White Mage: White mages can use healing magic to its fullest extent.
3. Scholar: Scholar's can use both basic black and white magic.
4. Black Mage: Black mages are the strongest mages, utilizing magic such as Demi and Ultima.

Mixed Based:
1. Red Mage: Red Mages use not only the the basic magic of the mages, but also the basic fighting
skills of the fighter.
2. Blue Mage: Blue Mages can learn types of Magic from monsters, such as Aero and Quake.
3. Paladin: Paladins are basically Knights, but they have the special ability "Cover", which means that
they can take an attack instead of their teammate.
4. Dark Knight: Dark Knights inflict heavy damage on the opponent, even ate the cost of their onwn health. Dark Knights can also steal the enemy's health.

Blue Mages replicate attacks they have seen or felt, and do not just specialize in healing. White Mages are generally the ones who specialize in curative spells or status effects. Chris awoke from his sleep suddenly. He felt as if something was wrong, Quickly turning on his TV, he was relieved to see that there was only another Kremian uprising.
Drake flipped a page in the newspaper. He couldn't exactly afford a TV at the moment, though he was saving up for one. The news was fairly boring today. Another uprising in Kremia. By now, such news was so commonplace that it rarely cause much of a stir in the public.
Alex finished tending to an old woman wound at the hospital clinic and looked at the TV in his father's office...
Those darn Kremian will be the death of us all... thought Alex...
Chris made sure his gunblade was sharpened before heading out. Since Xera, the city he lived in, was very suburban compared to most cities, he merely walked to Greill Mercenaries Inc.

When he arrived, Chris undoubtably knew what they were talking about: The new weapons that had just come in. Even though it creeped him out a little, he couldn't help but say that it was "normal" for him.
Drake set the newspaper aside and left his house, bored out of his mind.
Maybe I should take a vacation. Maybe to Xerasu... It's not too far. Although it might not be the safest place to go with that new dictatorship.

Chris sighed.
"Dang it," he uttered, half out loud,"I know something's not right!"

"Just considering going on a little vacation," replied Drake, not really paying attention to who he was talking to.

Chris tried to stop it, but the feeling that something bad was happening took control.

Jas wakes up in her hotel room with the sun's ray in her face. "Shit," She woke up far later than the midnight that she planned to awaken at. "Gotta keep moving," the young woman quickly grabs a toaster pastry out of her bag, and eats it in record time. She takes a couple of seconds to admire the wavy form of her hair when she undoes the braid it's in, then quickly pulls her hat on over her eyes. A quick glance around the room tells her that she has all her belongings, and she leaves, now checking out and carefully making her way though the Xerasu streets.
The bounty hunter at the end of a chase, in a Kremian alleyway... Keisha smirks at the person backing away from her, and into a wall. A blast behind her blows her hair around, giving the woman an even darker look. "Time to give up now, buddy," the grimy-looking captive raises his hands in defeat, and Keisha quickly bounds him. She then presses a button on her watch, calling for her airship. An hour later, when her bounty is turned in, and her reward is claimed, she pulls up a screen, looking for another person to prey on.
Chris, by this time, is extremely paranoid. He turned on the TV in the building, only to find extreme horror.
The Prime Minister of Rhyasin, the President of Trachnii, and the new Commander of Kremia all stood on a stage. The Prime Minister walked up to the microphone. "People of the world! We have gathered here for one reason:To declare war on Xerasu."
Chris immediately shut his TV off and left the building. He then saw several riots taking place, all of them because of a Kremian/Trachnii/Rhyasin tourist.
Drake continued walking, passing by a store with TVs in the window. They were mostly on the news channels. And suddenly, he saw the world's leaders declaring war.
Well, this is gonna suck, he thought. As if things weren't bad enough already...
Chris sprinted home, grabbed all of his belongings, and ran to catch a train to the Xerasuan countryside.

Drake stared at the TV for a moment then decided.
Maybe moving to Xerasu's countryside, where the war probably won't be too bad, would be a good idea.

Chris sighed when he got aboard the train. He just wanted to be as far away from the war as possible.
Rhyasin will suffer for this war. The army here has no real experience anymore, mused Drake. There hasn't been a war in over a century.
He continued walking, hoping to get a boat to Xerasu, where he could easily get transportation to the countryside.
Chris found out that this train was going to Xerasia, a town with very little commercial industries.
Drake dashed through the streets, towards the shore, where he could conceivably get a ship to Xerasu.
After arriving in the small, quaint village he went to his house and unpacked everything he had. Chris then laid down for a quick nap.
((How does he already have a house?))
Drake soon found a boat willing to go to Xerasu and boarded it.
((He...uh....wait a second.))
Chris awoke and visited the town Mayor.
"Mr. Mayor," he said in his sweetest voice,"would you mind me using the spare house at the edge of town? I could do manual labor for rent."
((Exactly. I'm just gonna timeskip to when I get to Xerasu, is that okay?))
The boat soon arrived, since Xerasu was not that far away. He left the ship and thanked the captain, then proceeded to head towards the nearest town.
The Mayor nodded. Chris then started back home, content that he now had a place to live that wasn't so war-like.
Drake, upon reaching the nearest town, found a train station and got a ticket on one headed to a small town called Xerasia.

Chris finally laid down for about an hour. He then heard a small knock at the door.
It was an old lady, coming to bring him a home-cooked meal. After thanking her, Chris sat down
and began eating his generously given food.
The train arrived soon enough, and Drake approached the mayor of the town hoping for a house.
((Do you control the Mayor?))
((Sure.))
After Chris got done, he laid down once more for a short nap.
"Do you have any empty houses that I can live in for a while?" Drake asked the mayor. "I can work or something to pay off rent."
"My, my," said the Mayor and disgust,"so many young people want to live here.
Sadly, I have no houses for you to rent. But perhaps you can ask the young
man at the edge of town."
"Okay, thanks," replied Drake. It was better than nothing. He proceeded to head to the edge of said town, arriving at a house that seemed relatively unused. Figuring that this was probably the right place, he knocked on the door.
Chris slowly got out of his bed and answered the door. "What do you want?"
"Yeah, I asked the mayor for a house," explained Drake. "He said to ask the guy who lived here."
Chris opened his eyes and saw a young man about his own age.
"Sure," he replied,"come on in."
"Thanks," replied Drake, entering the small house.
"Well," Chris went on,"as you can see, this is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house, perfect for
us."
"That's convenient," remarked Drake. "How much rent will I have to pay?"

"None, since you came here exactly as I did. We will do work for the townsfolk, and they will provide us with room and board."
"I'm good with that," said Drake.

A few days passed before something extraordinary happened. Since Chris had the day shift, he was patrolling when he heard...marching. He quickly ran back to his house to warn Drake.
Drake was sleeping, since he had the night shift. He got up groggily, and bored, went out to see if anything was happening. As soon as he got out, he heard something. It sounded like drum beats, but it was too distant to be sure. He turned to Chris.
"Okay, what the hell is going on?"
((Um...how did you not notice me?))
((Oh, yeah. *edits*))
"Soldiers," Chris replied, packing,"pack up all of your stuff. We have to get outta here."
Drake's eyes widened, and he dashed back inside to collect his few possessions. He exited the house quickly, with a backpack full of food and supplies, as well as his stuff.
Leaving the house, Chris motioned for Drake to put his stuff in a rather large nearby fisherman's boat. Hearing the footsteps getting louder, he whispered,"Get the boat ready. I'll be there soon."
Drake did as he was told, and the boat was ready in a few minutes.
By this time, Chris could see faint shadows of soldiers. He then told Drake to prepare more boats.
Drake quickly complied, readying boats as fast as he could.
Meanwhile, Chris entered every house, giving the order to evecuate. Soon the whole village was getting their things. Chris loaded his Revolver just in case.
Drake readied his staff as a precaution. If any soldiers came, he'd quickly rain Fire and Thunder spells down on them.
Most of the villagers were in their boats when the soldiers came. Chris fired his revolver, trying to scare the soldiers, but it didn't work. He kept on firing, but every time he killed one, two took his spot.
Drake decided to help Chris out, sending fire among the ranks of the soldiers.
By the time the last villager was gone, no less than 30 soldiers were in the village. Chris ran backwards, firing at several soldiers. Right before he was into the boat, one of the soldiers shot him, and Chris fell back, into the boat, and blacked out.
Drake glanced back as Chris fell. He sent a Thunder spell at the soldiers before jumping into the boat and disembarking.

And so, Drake and Chris evacuated from the soldiers, but not before Chris was shot. However, neither of them knew what was going to happen next.
Eh, we need a White Mage. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have left behind the one in Rhyasin.
Drake tried to stem the bleeding with some cloth.
Chris barely regained consciousness. "Dr...Drake. Wha..What ha-hapened?"
"You got shot trying to kill some soldiers, so you fell into a boat," explained Drake.
"Heh," Chris replied,"at least I fell into THIS boat."
"True," Drake conceded. "So... Now what?"
"I....think we should pilot this thing to Xetrkr," Chris replied,"my half-brother lives there."
((How do you even pronounce "Xetrkr"?))
"Sounds good to me, though how do we know soldiers haven't torn the place down by now?"

"Because it's hidden," came Chris's answer,"from the rest of the world. Basically Xenophobic."
"Ah," said Drake. "So how do we get there."

"Just follow my directions."
"Great..."
Drake continued steering the boat, following his instructions.
"Now take a left here, and it should be smooth sailing."
Drake turned left, then continued straight.
Soon they reached the beach. Chris slowly arose out of the boat and hobbled to the nearest tree.
Drake followed, not really knowing where they were at the moment.
Chris pressed a button on the tree, and a keyboard came out of it.
"If I didn't do this," Chris said, entering the code,"we would hit an invisible force field.
Once he was done, he took his luggage and slowly hobbled into the village.
Drake raised an eyebrow, but continued to follow Chris.
Chris then showed Drake the village. "As you can see, all of these war refuges had no where to go. That's when my half-brother Jason decided to build a village. Since he knew about the militant dictatorship, he decided to have it veiled in secrecy. Kind of like a "safe haven."
"I see," said Drake, fascinated. "So there's no way that soldiers can find this place?"
"...It's possible," Chris replied,"but I don't think it will happen. Hey Jason!"
A tall, young man looking no older than 25 walked near them.
"Hey, bro. Who's your friend?"
"I'm Drake," Drake introduced himself. "And your brother's been shot."
"Heh," Jason replied,"good way to start a conversation." He motioned over for the medics to take Chris. "So what brings you here?"
"All the nations have declared war on Xerasu, if you haven't heard. We needed a safe place to stay," explained Drake.
"I heard. That's why we added more security."
"Good call," Drake remarked. "But what if someone were to somehow breach your defenses. Could the people here defend themselves?"
"Maybe," Jason replied,"some are just too scared to fight."
"So in other words, the minute soldiers get here, we're all screwed."
"Yes, but HOW will they get here?"
Drake paused. Then he came to a realization.
"What if someone followed us here?"
"I hope not. Anyways, that force field is pure diamond."
"How the hell do you make a force field out of diamond?"
"Innovation," Jason replied, smiling. "Simply Innovation."
"Ooooookay... So, what if they breach the diamond?"
"Impossible. It cannot be broken unless you have a code, which is 1,000 letters long."
"So how come Chris typed it in a minute?"
"He is very fluent at that kind of stuff."
"It didn't exactly look like a 1000 letters when he typed it..."
"Whatever."
Drake rolled his eyes.
((So.... Now what?))
A medic came out. "Mr. Jason, it's your brother."
Jason rushed into the hospital.
Drake followed, somewhat worried. For all he knew, the nurse just meant that he was alive. Or dying. He really hoped it was the first one.
The Doctor told Jason the news. Chris had barely made it through surgery.
Jason sighed, glad that his brother was all right.
Drake raised an eyebrow. Why they hadn't just told them that instead of making them worry was beyond him.
Jason knocked on the door to Chris's room before entering. "You, my friend, were extremely lucky. The doc said it barely missed your heart."
((From what I understand, war has just broke out, yeah? And how the hell am I supposed to get into this one!?))
Jas goes through a city's center, and looks up at the wide screen on a tower. The booming newscast overhead announcing the declaration of war makes the already dreary area worse. "Go figure," she pulls her hat further over her eyes, and continues walking.

"War, hm?" Keisha props her feet up on a desk as she watches the news on a hologram. "This will either make my business boom or crash. Let's see..."

"Why is it that the stupid ones get all the luck?" wondered Drake out loud as he followed Jason into the room.
"Well," Chris replied,"I guess that you're stupid too. We were both lucky to get outta there alive."
"Touche," replied Drake.
"As you can see," Chris replied,"I am ready to go any time. The doctors here removed the bullet and stitched me up very well."
"Good. Faster we get to somewhere safe, faster we can relax."
Jason butted in,"What do you mean SAFE. This place isn't SAFE!?"
"What do you mean?" asked Drake. "Earlier, you said that nothing could get past the diamond force field without a password..."
"How is that NOT safe?"
"Well, a password won't last long. I'm just saying we can stay here for a while, but eventually, they will find this place."
"I am already tired of this place," Chris replied,"We will leave in 1 week."
"You've only been here for a few hours, most of which were spent in surgery or a hospital."
"Still. Nothing of importance."
Drake rolled his eyes.
"So, where are we staying for the week we'll be here?"
"Well," Jason replied,"there is a spare house in the town. I'm sure you could use it."
"Thanks," Chris said. "Come on, Drake."
"Fine," said Drake, following them.
Jason pointed to one of the houses. "There."
Chris grabbed his stuff and walked over to the house.
Drake followed him into the house.
"Wanna watch TV?" Chris said, getting out his 20".
"Yeah, sure," replied Drake, hoping that they might learn something about the war.
Apparently Drake was right.
"We are being told from our sources that, about 12 hours ago, 2 young men saved an entire village from soldiers!" said the TV broadcaster.
Chris sighed. "Imagine that."
"I'm guessing this means the soldiers will be after us now."
"Depends on if they knew where we went."
"Well, like you said, no one really knows this place exists, and that force field should keep people out."
"Yeah," Chris replied, his stomach growling. "You hungry tio?"
"Sure, I could use some food."
And so, perhaps, just perhaps, Chris and Drake would make it after all.

During the course of the week, Chris and Drake made their living by teaching residents how to defend themselves. After that week, it was time to leave.
"Oh, Chris!" came a voice. It was Jason. "Thanks for all of your hard work. Here's my token of appreciation." Jason handed Chris an envelope.
"Well, Drake, it's time to head out."

(( Me/Tri: Leaving Xerasu after spending a week at Xetrkr after Chris was shot.))
Drake nodded. He decided against inquiring as to the contents of the envelope for now.
"Where are we gonna go?"
((JNFS's and my character protected a village from soldiers, then went to some secret city with a force field around it. They're leaving there right now. Marth Xero joined, but forgot his Race, and that's about it.))
"I don't know," Chris replied. "How about to your country?"
"Rhyasin? It's peaceful there, but with the war, I don't know what it'll be like now."
Chris thought about that for awhile, before coming up with his answer. "Mountainous Kremia."
"Works for me. It'd be easy enough to hide in the mountains, if need be."
"Right. And maybe we can learn a few new skills...but wait, won't we have to go through terrorist Kremia!?
"Well, we can't go to Xerasu, since every other nation is at war with it. What about Trachii?"
((erm, Xerasuan I guess)

"Fine," Chris replied,"Trachnii."
"What's the weather and terrain there like?"

Jas suddenly hears a click to the side... a gun click. She stops, and slowly turns her head in that direction.
"So it is the runaway soldier," A male about ten years older than her, in a Xerasu military uniform smirks, still wielding the weapon. "You're coming with me." Jas stands there, seemingly not about to fight back, but quickly draws one of her blades, and pushes the gun away from her.
"I don't jump when people tell me to because I ain't some government dog..." This confrontation quickly begins to develop into a full scale fight.
"You won't get away, girlie," the captain replied. "Now just be good and follow directions."
"Girlie?" Jas smirks and twirls her blade, then draws her other one as well. "I don't think you wanna bet on that." The gathering crowd doesn't phase her one bit. "You don't even have the balls to make me follow." She remains in her stance, ready to fight.
"How dare you! You will be severely punished because of your behavior!" The Captain raises his gun, as to shoot.
"Ha, just try it old man," Jas continues to taunt the Captain. "Hope ya don't shoot your eye out!" She grins and points her right blade at him. "Those toys are dangerous, ya know?"
"Damned imbecile," the Captain replied, extremely angry,"you will PAY for that." He readies his gun and shoots. However, the Captain didn't know that he was out of bullets. "Uh...." he stammered slowly walking away,"...I re-really need to b-be going n-n-now."

"Ha!" Jas stands there, trying so hard to not just fall on the ground and start laughing. "What type of 'Captain' goes around with an empty gun!? Idiot!" She regains her composure, then starts walking towards the Captain. "You ain't even worth fighting," instead of slitting the guy's throat like she was going to originally, she throws a capsule on the ground. It explodes into a smokey knock-out gas. "I can't have you calling your little friends on me though," when it clears, the girl is gone.

Taven started half-walking and half-moving the ground towards, well towards anywhere really, until he was stopped by... nothing.
Nothing was there, and yet there was. He couldn't see anything, yet there was a physical obstruction blocking him from going any further.
Hmm. This is awfully curious. Oh well
Taven raised his bell, and the ground started to move.
The captain fainted.

"So...." Chris continued,"we should be nearing Trachnii.
"Good," replied Drake. "Sooner we get there, the better."
He was getting somewhat impatient.

Taven stopped, he decided he shouldn't rush this, and started to look around for another way.
Soon the duo reached the shore of Trachnii. Since the war had begun, its troops were increased forescore. A scout saw Chris and Drake only a minute after they had arrived.
"Hey!" he shouted. "Who are you!?"
"The world hates us," said Drake wryly. "We've been here for less than five minutes, and yet we've already been spotted."
"Figures," Lan-I mean Chris whispered. "I can't tell them I'm Xerasuan, or else...."
Chris shook his head. "I'll...say I'm....Kremian, or something."
Drake shrugged. "I'm Rhysian anyway. They won't bother me as much as they will you."
"Always good to know," Chris sarcastically replied. He sighed as he continued seeing men. Men who had never been to war. Who had always seen the war, but far away. Now those same men would have to fight there before the war got to Trachnii.

Drake sighed at the sight of so many soldiers. He made sure to have a spell ready if they were attacked, though he'd rather not use it.
Chris could not take it. He almost cried, thinking that nearly all of these soldiers will parish. He then vowed to.....put a stop to all this war.
