I don't think I have a favorite Final Fantasy, but I think since it was my first FInal Fantasy I played I will say IV.  I like alot of them... can;t wait for XIII and versusXIII

Definitely FF Tactics. I didn't really care much for the game's heavily cliched storyline, but the game's characters and excellent turn-based strategy gameplay make it an instant classic.
