Are there certain songs that evoke emotions within you? Anger, sadness, etc.
I have a few.
Anger/energy - Refused "New Noise"
Sadness - Ugly Casanova "Hotcha Girls"
Happiness - Weezer "Island in the Sun"
How about you?
Calmness - Mad World
Crazy happy - Giant Swing
Nothing else I can think of. I missed the entire music craze.
Freaked out : "Dance With the Devil" - Immortal Technique
song is good as intercourse , and anybody who doesn't find it deep and twisted is an idiot.
Only two have been able to successfully move me:
"Human Nature" - Michael Jackson
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" - Simon & Garfunkel
The latter is, in my opinion, one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
like yelling in the rain - "the only living boy in new york", simon and garfunkle
like being in love - "first day of my life", bright eyes
Swing Life Away - Rise Against
Certain attachment to an ex.
We've Had Enough - Michael Jackson
I don't really let things emotionally affect me anymore. Or at least with sadness or anything negative anyway. But back in the day, Pikachu's Goodbye. But most songs I have leave me happy or neutral or zoned out.
In My Life - Beatles.
I cry every time.
OH, and Aria di Mezzo Carattere, from FF6. What a pretty cutscene.
Goodnight Saigon - Billy Joel.
If this song doesn't get you emotional, you're messed up.
I don't recall every getting emotional over a song. D:
To name a few...
"Gone Too Soon" ~ Michael Jackson
"Man In The Mirror" ~ Michael Jackson
"In My Life" ~ The Beatles
"In My Life" ~ Johnny Cash
"Hey Jude" ~ The Beatles
"Let It Be" ~ The Beatles
"Ragged Old Flag" ~ Johnny Cash
"Danny Boy" ~ Johnny Cash
"The End Of The End" ~ Paul McCartney
"Seven Spanish Angels" ~ Ray Charles and Willie Nelson
"Amazing Grace" ~ Ray Charles
"Liverpool 8" ~ Ringo Starr
"Mainstreet" ~ Bob Seger
"Against The Wind" ~ Bob Seger
"Against The Wind" ~ The Highwaymen
"Tears In Heaven" ~ Eric Clapton
"Rocket Man (I Think It's Going To Be A Long, Long Time)" ~ Elton John
"Circle Of Life" ~ Elton John
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" ~ Elton John
I could keep going on, but that would take forever. These songs give me chills every time I here them and each time they make me think, sometimes I even get teary eyed... and remember, this is just the few I could think off the top of my head.

Great song :]
I'll list anything that greatly affects my emotions and/or mood, as most songs do. I like many different kinds of music by the way. The way it makes me feel is in parentheses. Some I'm not sure of.
- "In My Life" by the Beatles
- "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan [as well as the cover by Jimi Hendrix]
- "Disconnected" by Face to Face (introspective)
- "Foxey Lady [sic]" by Jimi Hendrix (8))
- "A Tout le Monde (Set Me Free)" by (introspective and wanting to give thanks to people)
- "Blow" by Atreyu (like "I don't give a **** about you and your opinions")
- "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World (mournful)
- many other Jimmy World songs
- "Ramblin' Man" by The Allman Brothers Band (accepting and not alone)
- many Lacuna Coil songs
- lol Pokémon theme songs (adventurous)
- "Rise Today" by Alter Bridge (it's a "you can change the world" song)
- "Blind Man" by Black Stone Cherry (widely influential and helpful, kind of like "Rise Today")
- "Talk to Her" by Priestess (confident)
- "I am the Night, Colour Me Black [sic]" by Priestess (chaotic)
- "Territorial Pissings" by Nirvana (chaotic)
- basically anything and everything by AFI (my favorite band), but especially:
* "Battled" (despite the lyrics; invincible)
* "6 to 8" (alone but hopeful, traveling)
* "The Lost Souls" (connected to people)
* "Sacrifice Theory"
* "Days of the Phoenix" (mentally drifting, daydreaming, escaping from reality)
* "Of Greetings and Goodbye"
* "Catch a Hot One"
* everything on the "Sing the Sorrow" album, but especially especially:
> "Silver and Cold" (protective)
> "Girl's Not Grey"
> "This Celluloid Dream"
> "This Time Imperfect" (I can relate to this song :-\)
* everything on the "Decemberunderground" album, but especially especially:
> "37mm" (empty, gives you catharsis)
> "The Missing Frame" (same as "37mm", also sadness)
> "Affliction"
> "Kiss and Control"
> "Summer Shudder"
> "The Killing Lights" (vulnerability, exposure)
> "Fainting Spells" (my favorite song; not on the album, but recorded at the same time; not sure how it
makes me feel but it always gets me psyched up)
* "We've Got the Knife" (certain and accusatory)
* "Where We Used to Play" (nostalgic)
* "Torch Song"
* "Beautiful Thieves"
* "I Am Trying Very Hard To Be Here"
* "Sacrilege" (disappointed realization, helplessness)
* "Darling, I Want To Destroy You"
I'll finish this post later. That's about it I guess.

If you want want fast-paced, listen to hardcore-punk, thrash metal, death metal (specifically brutal and technical death metal), and the like.
This is one of the fastest songs I've ever heard. And yes, it's supposed to be stupidly funny. Excuse the fan-made video and less-than-perfect quality. "Key Lime Pie" by AFI

Sonata Arctica seems like a good band. "Everything Fades to Grey" reminds me of a lyric in the song "This Celloid Dream" by AFI: "All the colors upon leaving will turn to grey".
Also: YES! I've finally found someone who likes Black Stone Cherry. They're an awesome band and very talented.

Thanks. From what I've heard, Sixx AM is good. Rise Against is also a good band. I don't like Coldplay so much though. They have two good songs, and both are on-disc for a Guitar Hero game lol. Why is my post in a quote?
owl city makes me feel like stabbing people in the face if that helps anything
also i forgot to mention that every elliot smith song makes me feel like commiting suicide, now because hes bad, but because hes downright depressing

I've only heard "L.A."
(lol because it's on Guitar Hero 5), but I actually like that song. At first it was weird/okay, but after listening to it a bit more, I really like it now; it's catchy.
Haha, depressing. Listen to Whit Pearl, Black Oceans by Sonata Arctica if you want a real sad song.
steady rollin' by two gallants makes me think of summer
waves of grain by two gallants makes me want to just get on my knees and cry. i cant think of a sadder song.

"Broken, Seether and Amy Lee". (Very Sad) :( My best friend got in a Car crash with his parents the night after this song came out in the Spring of 2004. I was only 11 when this happened. Whenever I hear this song I break out into tears everytime I hear it. :(
It was the worst thing i've witnessed and never want to lose someone that close in friendship to me ever again.

I'm sorry to hear that, but who is that song by? Is "Broken, Seether and Amy Lee" the entire title?
Also, instead of posting three times with one song each, you should probably just modify your post. That's just my opinion. I see that you might be new here though so I'll try to find your intro thread if it's no too old. Welcome anyway! :)

Yes! I love this song and I never realized that it had such an effect on me. Usually only sad songs affect me, but this is a happy exception.
Click Click Boom, Saliva: this song gets me pumped up.
"Click Click Boom" reminded me of "Tick Tick Boom" by The Hives (from the names anyway). I watched your video, and it's a good song. "Click Click Boom" deserves a guitar solo though lol. Anyway, I've been curious about the band Saliva and they seem worth checking out; thanks for enticing me.

Looks like you have good taste in music. :) Them Crooked Vultures are awesome. The same goes for the Foo Fighters and Blink-182. As for the others that I like, I've only heard like one song from them so I won't comment.
Concerning "Don't Stop Believing," I'm sorry but I just abhor that song. I think it's
way overrated and I'm not into the lyrics at all. I'm also not a fan of anything like Katy Perry, not that I've even heard the whole of that song that you listed. I'm just not into much absolute mainstream music.
Kris Allen - Live Like We're Dying
I like this song, though most of his music sucks, this song is awesome, but that may be because I love the message of the song, even though I don't do that, I want to...
Time Flies- Porcupine Tree (Reminds me that one day, I will be the old man I make fun of now, and that as time goes on, it just seems to keep on going faster.
Float On- Modest Mouse (Even if things look bad, they can turn out for the better)
Scars- Blackfield (Even when you get over a break-up, you have the memories that made the relationship so beautiful, and those memories cause you to fall into sadness)
Hotcha Girls- Ugly Casanova (Realizing that you're growing old, and all the good times are now just memories.)
