*Gabber or hardstyle, which is harder than hardcore but incorporated into some hardcore mixes. Showtek is hardstyle, Tha Playah is straight-up gabber (with often inappropriate lyrics and suggestive titles), and Scott Brown does gabber as well as happy hardcore.
**not your normal happy hardcore...they (yeah, it's a duo) will make anything from happy hardcore to hardstyle to gabber to absolutely crazy stuff that transcends genres

I suggest just listening to hardcore @ di.fm for hours. That's how I find much of what I love.
