Why am I watching this?

I actually haven't sat down and watched a series in its entirety since Minami-Ke, so I thought I'd take a recommendation from someone on what Anime to watch. I was asked if I was into the magical girl genre.
Why did you even answer that question?

And that's how I started watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.

It's like when my cousin forced me to watch Sailor Moon, and when my sister watched Card Captor Sakura. Only difference, is that I've seen two episodes and it's already better than Sailor Moon. Not saying "OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME" or anything, but it's good. I was told that it would get better as it went along, so I'm going to keep watching it.
And by doing so, he will undoubtedly bring back "painful" childhood memories of Sailor Moon.
Hopefully it's more entertaining than what he'll be watching. :3

Amazingly enough, I don't have anything else to say. So, segue. Has there ever been an anime you just watched on a whim for no reason other than, "Eh, I'm bored."? For me, it would probably be this.
