So, the hero Fox, the right-hand man Falco, and the "villian" Wolf are in, and many people where hoping for Krystal to get in, but I'm just wondering: is there anyone here who was hoping Slippy, Peppy, or some other Star Fox character would get in?
I really wish Krystal had gotten in, but I think Slippy or Peppy would have been terrible.

i was sort of wondering that too. if they had put fox, falco, and kystal in as playables, slippy would have been the only one of those four left out. peppy can kiss my ass though

peppy was getting kinda old but slippy was only in his prime
slippy couldve been a great clone with a long, high jump and an assortment of bombs

if you think about it wolf deserved to be in more than krystal. he was around for a really long time. but it still sucks that krystal didn't make it. slippy might have been possible. peppy would've have been stupid

True, but Tibar's saying that Wolf's been around longer. It's first come first served. He's the rvial of Fox and it's been that way for years. Also, Slippy would be a really crappy character. If you've played assault then you must have heard him say "Help Fox!!! They're ganging on me! I can't take them!! Help Fox!!!" He gets in more trouble than Krystal and Falco combined. So in conclusion Slippy is a wus and he can't do anything to help himself. Also, why would you want to play as him anyway. He's not appealing and he wouldn't even make a good fighter. He's just a mechanic. I think the only reps that deserved to be in were Fox, Falco, Wolf, and Krystal. But having four from Starfox is alot cuz Pokemon has four but Starfox would have to be more popular like Zelda or Mario to have four reps.

All I see is people using OPINIONS to prove each other wrong.
IN MY OPINION
-- Wolf deserved to make it in. He was the only plausible "villain" for Star Fox and Smash Bros. can always use another villain. He definitely should have been completely decloned though.
-- Krystal should have made it in. She's an important and popular character. She would have had a great moveset that wouldn't have been another Star Fox clone character.
-- Slippy and Peppy DID NOT deserve to make it in.
I'm not saying this because I think they would make garbage characters, but I don't believe that they are as important or popular as Wolf, Krystal, or Falco.
-- I hate to say it, but unless Sakurai really loved the franchise, there was no way it would have gotten 4 reps. There's no way that they would have as many characters as Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon.
-- Importance and popularity mean nothing alone. It's almost always a "bond" between the two. Sometimes they mean nothing together! Take R.O.B for example? That's when Sakurai's bias kicks in.

He would have been an awesome boss for SSE.
I remember there was a user who made a bunch of boss plots and General Scales was one of them.
