Title: That time is now!
Post by: Linkman on May 19, 2009, 03:34:06 PM
Ok, so according to Books, Video Games, Movies and other sources of entertainment, we should be flying cars by now, robots should be roaming the streets, we should all be fat and unable to walk, and many many other things.

Although one of these things might actually be happening now, what ever happened to the rest of those things?

What do you think the world would be like today, if the ideas of yesterday actually were real?  Better or Worse?

Discuss.

Worse. There's enough people who can't drive worth poop now, so can you imagine if they could have a flying car?

People are too stupid to make any of that type of progress.

I am almost positive that the world will not ever make flying cars available for everyone, besides models of stuff (phones, video games, computers, etc.), the world won't really advance much. Honestly, they seem to be focusing mostly on pleasing children, I mean, what happened to playing with Hot Wheels without the overly complicated track? What happened to not every other new toy being related to the movie Cars?

Anyway, the only thing I can actually see happening that is from "yesterday" is that the world will be 99.9% fat people. Very much evidence is on this site.

Maybe he can't get a human girl. DAAAAAAMN!

I think the robot idea can be expanded, look at the ones we have now. Buuut flying cars and teleport devices? Maybe not.

I'm fairly sure people already drive into trees.

Yes, but instead of driving into them at 20 miles per hour, they'll be driving into them at 200 miles an hour.
