QuoteAccording to reports (thanks MCV) the Nintendo DSi Facebook Connect update not only lets you take snaps of your friends for Facebook, but also disables DS flashcarts used for illegally copied games.
Carts including iPlayer, EZVi, and AK2I are all rendered useless by the software update, preventing illegally downloaded games from working.
DS piracy has reportedly been on the up for some months, publisher Ubisoft noting that copied games on the format had started to hurt their sales.
The fightback is on, apparently.
I don't use flashcarts, but it would have been cool to try them. :\
I wouldn't pirate games, but I probably would have just used emulators and an IRC client.
That should teach them, though. They're like thieves.
Wait like action replay or carts you use to play roms on your ds?
Read this on GBAtemp.

Nah, we stuck to the DS phat and Lite. I can't find the Phoenix Wright games anywhere, so I downloaded them. It's also for trying before you buy. I tried Trauma Center, I suck at it, not worth the money.
Heh.
Nintendo can't stop us original DS owners.
Ahahaha.
