I want to train a Sigilyph. Thing looks so odd but it seems like it's amazing in battles. You get them around the desert area, right?

I can see this thing making a huge impact in competitive play.
Although I'm not too sure how well it'll do against Dark-types bearing Rest.
I caught one and didn't bother with it
but then N raped my entire gosh darn team with this guy using Psybeam so maybe I'll reconsider

Scraggy is only outside the Resort, in the part labelled "Route 4," And Yamask is only inside the temple. Even though, inside the temple there's 50% Yamask and 50% Sandile. Keep looking in there.

You can find it anywhere in the desert, but I don't think it's higher than 50% outside.

Sigilyph has moderate defenses and Cosmic Power access. Unless Jolteon's out first (like anyone would switch any electric-weak flying type into a Jolteon) it won't be as easy as you think to take Sigilyph out. Possible, but don't be so quick to say "destroy".

Sigilyph also has access to Magic Guard, so it wouldn't really care much about self inflicted status.
Choice Specs Chandelure could likely 1HKO Sigilyph though.

Well, nearly anything. But a Chandelure's Shadow Ball will obviously do significant damage to any Sigliyph that isn't backed by a few Cosmic Power boosts. And if it doesn't, what can Sigilyph do back? Non-STAB Shadow Ball? Please.
Just so you know, you can get False Swipe from Prof. Juniper if you have many Pokemon caught. She gives more TMs too.

I guess it's pretty safe to assume that Chandelure is the #1 counter towards it.

Its safe to say that I dislike this pokemon a lot, lol.
But then again all of my pokemon have hindering or neutral natures, which is going to change soon.
I'm sure that anyone who has to come up against one will eventually start to hate it.

Neutral is actually a good choice in certain occasions.
I doubt I'll catch a litwick since it's not in my list for "catch-ables".
I've been accepting neutral natures during my playthrough. And I've been getting a whole lot of them. Also a lot of Lax/Gentle, aka drop one defense for the other- something you'd NEVER do competitively, but I'm treating them as neutral. After the E4 is where I really start getting concerned about natures.
I think neutrals are acceptable for EV training pokemon with mixed stats. (Sweeper, Wall, etc.)

You can always sacrifice an attacking stat for a dual wall, or one of the defenses for a Mixed Sweeper. Sometimes even a Speed drop is acceptable. Neutral natures are rarely, if ever, used competitively. It's always good to at least have one stat get a little boost.

I think people usually have buffer TMs for the stats that get dropped.
