As for the answer to the question, there isn't one. Games aren't like Aesop's Fables for the most part, unless you're playing something by Square-Enix that's dripping with angst. :p

Indeed, it's pretty painful when artistic value is shoved into a story's throat.

It's like the writers are screaming, "SEE? VIDEO GAMES CAN BE INTELLECTUAL!" while achieving the opposite effect, making Final Fantasy storylines (except for one) adolescent messes.

Honestly Square, you had one moment of brilliance in video game storytelling, and that was FF6, you've lost whatever or whoever made such a great story possible, quit trying.

There are several:

Pirates are bad (obvious w/o playing the game, but WTH.).

Anyone can become corrupt

You can fight corruption if your will is strong

Big one: Absolute power comes at a price

Never use performance enhancers (phazon is kinda like steroids :O )

And, don't let your friendship cloud your judgement when it comes to you have to fight them at all costs (finally I get that moral right!)

Evidently videogames can teach people things.  Take that, anti-gamers!

2: Power can overcome you, deal with what you have and better yourself.

Drugs are bad, and they'll turn you into a psycho freak that'll get impaled by ice/explode.

Phazon=Drugs

OMG I thought that I was the only one that made that connection with Phazon !   I always thought of Phazon like methamphetamine, it turns you into a powerful ugly insane creature with no morals whatsoever.  And it can sweep through a neighborhood and 'corrupt' almost everyone in it.

Anyways, the moral of MP3 is:  Don't depend on your friends, in the end it's YOU that must be responsible for your own outcome.
