For years now, the four regions, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, had been peaceful, thinking that all their troubles had passed. Suddenly, 3 powerhungry teams invaded cities throughout the four regions, using powerful Pokemon to subdue their foes. Can you step up and stop the madness now, collecting a mere four gym badges and proving yourself an ace trainer, then fighting the leaders of these teams? Or perhaps you'll be a traitor and side with these evil bands? Your choice. Now tell me: "Whose side are you on?"

James woke up early. Today, was the day he was allowed to get a pokemon. He sat up, stretched and jumped out of bed, got out of his PJs, and put on a T-shirt, jeans and socks. He pulled a hat over his head, and slipped his shoes on. He walked downstairs, then realized he forgot his things. He rushed back upstairs, grabbed his Backpack, which was already filled with all sorts of things, and went downstairs. He was about to step out the door when his mom called. "What about breakfast mister? You can't just leave without getting the proper nourishment!" He turned around apologized, "Sorry mom." He said quietly. He grabbed a bagel, and poured himself a glass of milk. He downed the milk in one gulp, and left with bagel in his hand, eating as he walked. "See ya Mom!" He called to her as he stepped out to the bright sunny morning. She waved to him, watching him walk towards the Laboratory in the distance.
Chris was on a ship from Vermilion City to Olivine. When he got there, he was escorted to New Bark Town.
" Home sweet home..." he said quietly, walking to the lab.
James was walking with a skip in his step. He was very excited, and in minutes, he'd have a pokemon. But as he got to the Lab, he had other thoughts. There was a line like you wouldn't believe. He hung his head, and breathed a heavy sigh, as he walked to the line.
Chris saw the line, also. He sighed, then pushed himself to the front.
James noticed a guy started pushing himself ahead. People were getting mad, and an argument broke out at the front. "Hey what do you think you're doing?! You can't just do that!" James heard someone yell. "Looks like this is going to be a lot longer than I thought." James said to himself.
" I need to see the Profes-" Chris stopped for he saw the world renowned Professor
Elm.
" Ah, Chris. Right this way," he said, taking Chris to the back of the lab.
James could hear that people were upset that he got in even though he cut. But at least the line moved up a bit.
" What do you want?" Chris asked," I am a paid professional."
Professor Elm nodded. " You see the line?"
" Yes."
" Well," Pro. Elm started," there was a break-in. They took almost all of the Pokemon."
Chris sighed. " That's my job, isn't it?"
" Yes, it is. There is one Pokemon, though, that I have left. A Zangoose for James."
Chris sighed and snatched a Poke-ball on the table. " Fine."
And with that, Chris shoved his way out of the lab.
James saw the line cutter walking out of the lab with something in his hand, it was a pokeball! James felt like he was never going to get one.
Chris saw James look at him out of the corner of his eye.
He turned around. " Are you James?"
"Uhh...Yeah!" James said a bit startled.
" Here," Chris replied, giving him the Poke-ball.
James was silent for a bit. Then he spoke, "Umm....isn't this....yours?"
" Nah. The Professor told me this was yours."
"Huh, okay then. Thanks." James left the line, and went to a grassy area where he could get to know his pokemon.
Chris slowly walked away. He stopped for a second to see James before starting to Cherrygrove.

Zaroff woke up quite groggy the morning on which he would get his first pokemon. He got up in his boxers and undershirt and went into the bathroom. He washed his hands and then took a whiz...later realizing that he had just done it in the wrong order...again. He washed his hands afterwards and went back up to his room and started getting dressed. He put on his shirt, his scarf around his neck, and his pants. Then he put on his underware. "...Wait a minute..." He said aloud. I am having a very backwards day today...Wait...Today...What's today again? Once he corrected his previous mistake, he took a look at his calender. "Woah! I'm late!" He exclaim for today was the day that he'd get Riolu, his first pokemon. He rushed out of the house without even eating breakfast.
"Wait! don't you want to say good-bye?" Said Zaroff's mother.
He made a sharp U-turn back to his mother and gave her a hug and a peck on the cheek. "Bye Mom. I love you, I'll see you once I'm a master!" He was already running as he was saying all of this running to the professor's house.
"Don't forget to call!" She yelled.
"I won't" He said only heard faintly by his mom since he was already getting so far.

Teo got up and noticed that he was running late. He hurriedly got dressed and did other normal morning stuff. He dashed out to Professor Elm's lab and noticed the line. He groaned and got at the end of it.
