Actually, deleted posts don't reduce post count. The four of mine that I actually had were deleted, and I retained the count.

They did close the forums down for the night.  NOA_Jane said that the forums would come up tomorrow. 

I want to know why Nintendo put such an inexperienced employee in charge of an entire forum that they knew was going to be populated by Nsiders?  I think Nintendo planned this from the start.  We've been had!  Or something.  What were they thinking?  In all seriousness, NOA_Jane sucks at her job.  They should have had a more knowledgeable admin there.  Nintendo didn't apparently learn from the mistakes they had with the original Nsider forums did they? 

Nintendo doesn't care.  All they want to do is avoid a lawsuit. Come 2014, those forums will be closed before you can blink.

I disagree to an extent. Nintendo of America does care, but not about us. Ever since the release of the DS, Nintendo's focus has shifted to casual and brand new gamer's, people who have probably never picked up a controller before. Many of us "hardcore" gamers know how to mod the Wii, so the forums are most definitely not built for us, just for the newcomers with technical issues. Why would we NEED an official forum? The fact that I'm able to reply to this post somewhere shows that we are going to congregate regardless, so there is no need for an official Nintendo discussion forum to exist at the moment.

Sadly, NOA doesn't give a crap that we want an official forums from them to just chill with our friends...All they are doing is making a Tech Support forum so that they don't get sued for not having one, since it says people can go to them to get help for Nintendo videogames.
