Well, I'd say Andrew, but I don't live in a dorm, nor could I make an area of my house look like a dorm.

I sent out a PM. And you wouldn't be showing that much space. Mostly all that would be seen was your bed, maybe a little of the area around you. The dorm feeling could come from sound effects added in or other context clues from the dialog.

I tried recording the scene, but I can't get my microphone to sound right.
That, and I can't make it sound fluid without another person reading with me.

I don't know about the microphone issue, but I wouldn't worry about the second thing. A table read will make it clear whether you work well with others, and you could just read the other people's lines to show where in the scene you are.  When we do the actual acting, there will be other people with you doing their parts. Besides, I'm not expecting mind-blowing auditions. This is just to see where you best fit character-wise.
