I think it looks a bit better. What do you think?
Also, please report any issues with it... there's bound to be a couple bugs.

Large gap between Logout and Chat buttons at top.
I've checked in both Opera and Firefox and it's the same.
Also, all buttons except NFES overlap the banner slightly. The NFES button lacks a top and bottom border.
Other than the navbar and the avatar being shown at the top of the page next to "Hey, bluaki, you have 226 messages, 0 are new.", are there any more changes?
Looks good ;D
We still need an "add bookmark" button. :P

Hmm, that's weird. Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing and PM it to me? The gap between buttons is supposed to be there (I like the community functions being highlighted over on the right).
Other changes include the gradient background on title bars where there used to just be solid gray, a halftoned background (used to be solid), and numerous color tweaks to make things look better.
I don't know if this pertains to skins, but link colors still don't stand out..

I asked earlier to get it changed and apparently the colors were reverted before I noticed the change.

Well that's stupid. It's not supposed to look like that... it looks like your browser, for whatever reason, expands the buttons by 2-3px on the top.
Now I have to make browser-specific CSS, joy. :|
What's your browser/OS info?
Dark Version pl0x

OS is Windows XP Home
Browser is both Firefox and Opera (newest versions of each, I checked with both browsers and it's the same. I believe I took the screenshot from Opera though it makes no difference.)

Alright. I guess I'll make a slightly modified version that FireFox and Opera users are directed to... oddly enough, the only browser that renders everything properly is IE (and Safari). First time that's ever happened.
I still prefer the SMF default.

I believe a better dark skin will be available after the big update I talked about earlier.
Isn't there any better way to go about the space between Logout and Chat than:?
I don't know if it's just me, but that seems a bit inaccurate >_>
Doing something like changing a browser's default font or text size is enough to screw up the navbar.
EDIT:
I believe I may have found some very strange fix to the buttons in Firefox and Opera. When viewing the html source, I found:
<font face="verdana" size="1"><a href="http://nsiderforums.net/nfes">NFES</a> </font>
Which has one major unusual thing compared to the other buttons, which is why it displays properly while the other buttons don't:
The locations of <font> and <a> tags along with respective endtags are reversed. In the other buttons, <a> goes BEFORE <font>
Here's an example of the html of another button, by the way:
<a href="http://nsiderforums.net/index.php"><font face="verdana" size="1">Home</font></a>
I used Firefox's File->Save Page As... to save the main page and by changing the html of each button and opening the html file in all three (IE, Opera, FF) browsers, it seems fixed. I don't know how you can do that in PHP, but it probably isn't too much.

Oh. Da
mn. Yeah, at some point the NFES button got messed up... I'll go change that now. It's simple.
Okay, now it works perfectly in FireFox (at least on OSX), is slightly off in Safari but still looks fine, likely works in Opera, and I'm guessing has some issue in IE, just because IE never does things right.

Actually, all that happened now is that NFES appears wrong like all the other buttons... atleast with WinXP >.<

Something about the difference made it appear correct for that one specific button. Sorry if I was a little difficult to understand earlier.
There needs to be a light-gray bar background for the buttons and less of a vertical gap. That's bothering me D:
looks good ;)
but the icons for, Online/offline for my buddies isn't the same as the people who aren't my buddies
and the "add bookmark" icon has the same problem
