Title: So what do you think of David Bowie?
Post by: AC92 on February 21, 2008, 09:35:50 PM
I really enjoy his earlier stuff. I've been listening to "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" a lot. I gotta say that I love "Five Years", "Starman", "Moonage Daydream", and "Suffragette City" the most out of that album. Of course, "Space Oddity" remains my favorite song by him. "Life On Mars?" is really good too.

I have two of his albums. Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust (shortened for great justice). I plan on getting Low next.

Anyway, what do you mean by "later stuff?" Ziggy was only his 5th album out of 28 or so. His later stuff is horrible compared to what you're listening to, because he made a move into dance, electronica, and other genres like that.

And Hunky Dory is better than Ziggy anyway.

Wrong.

Even if it involves dancing with puppets singing a pop song in a cheesy eighties movie, David Bowie is still the man. He can do any style he wants and still be awesome with it.

I should've said his earlier work like Ziggy and Hunky Dory. :P

He's OK. I haven't heard much of his songs, but I really enjoy Ziggy Stardust, Under Pressure, and Suffrage City.
