And by that I mean, do you take on the persona of the main singer if there is one, or the basic mood of the song, and you kinda do a strange interpretive dance making a story out of it?  This works great for longer songs...and yes, you'd normally do this when there aren't other ppl around because it would look like you're insane.

I do it on occasion, especially when I'm really into a song.  In fact, I did it with the first 11 minutes of Cassandra Gemini by the Mars Volta today.  It was quite involved and I tried to move to another room when the movements changed.  However, I did have to cut it short because at one crescendo I actually flung my mp3 player across the room and it shut off, thus ruining the flow D:  it's ok though.

So do you do this?  What songs have you done it to?

yeah most of the time. I pretend to sing the song in my room. I move about like I'm on a stage, and I act out certain parts in the song, like expressing the way the singer feels in the story(If there is one).

Of course when my Bro comes in unexpectedly I have an anime sweat drop on my head. :P  :-[

No I visualise steps to songs I really like.

I then usually proceed to do them on SM.

hm, yeah, because usually 9 footers really go along with the song quite well without sacrificing anything or overdoing it.  I go for mostly 9-10 footers, because sometimes I find a part of a song that just screams "1/16TH NOTE STREAM GOGOGOGOOGOGO" and I have to do it.

Yes I've done that before.  I more or less plan them out like music videos but I do like do act them out some times.

:(  well, I don't include them all the time, but once in a while it's kinda fun to throw one in.
