Retro makes good shooters...and they're owned by Nintendo....so Nintendo makes good shooters in the Prime series...
and star Fox games are good too and are technically shooters as well.

Considering what Metroid has degrated into lately, yeah, retro can make good shooters.

but they can't make a good multiplayer, that's for sure. :|
