The magazine has also confirmed the game will include multiplayer support. There will be Wi-Fi support for up to twelve players and you can play against players from around the world, in your country and of course players on your friends list. Apparently the game will also make use of Wii Channel options and according to IGN it may be possible to install a Mario Kart Challenge to the Wii menu and view the world rankings that way.

The game will feature Mii support, so you can add your Mii to a bike or a kart and players will also be able to download ghost data, so you can "race" against some of the best players. If you don't want to play online the game also supports split screen multiplayer for up to four players.

Thats great! They should include gamecube compatiblity too. I think Nintendo will announce the release date at E3 08
