So, I know I've been outspoken about the anime series in the past.
However, it'd be a pity to see it go from Adult Swim. Despite it's unneeded length, and horribly handled fillers, my intrest in the series has been rekindled.

So, options for Adult Swim? It's been ran so many times, and there are more deserving anime of the 11:30-12:30 CST slot. However, the anime has only been officially on hiatus, being said to be resumed when the creators feel that there is a certan amount of material (hint: so they don't have to do fillers) from the manga. The thing is, there's more than enough now.

I'd rather not have to spend $200+ on the manga volumes just to find out what happens. Personally, bring a new series to the weekday slot, then regulate one or two slots on Saturdays. I'm sure everybody would love for FLCL, Trigun, or NGE to come back.

They should bring back Outlaw Star and Gundam 0083. Well, as long as they don't edit 0083 like they did when it originally ran.

last I heard the rights to Outlaw Star expired and they never bothered to renew them

NGE hasn't been run through entirely enough times...only twice so far, I think. At least one more go at that would be nice. Another new anime would be really nice too.

When is the last day that Inuyasha airs? If it's really soon, then obviously we won't get a new anime, since we just got Death Note.

I honestly have no idea as to when the rights end, but it isn't any time soon looking at the schedule.
Not to mention the current run isn't even close to the midway point. Even if the broadcast rights expire, I'm sure AS would scoop them back up when (if) the anime for Inuyasha continues. It's still quite possible, although I'd expect the announcement to come relatively soon.

I'd love for either Trigun or NGE be rerun, ala Bebop, though.
Rerun FLCL for a week, maybe.

I'm hearing differnt things, actually. Some places say outright cancelled, others hiatus.

I dunno. With the popularity of the series, one would assume they would continue it, but it's possible that they're not.

Hm.
In the US, when it was first airing, it was getting continuously the highest ratings. Of course, that obviously decreased over time as it reran and reran.
Looking at how the manga's selling in Japan, I guess you could say it's still popular there as well.

Really, I honestly don't know if they will continue it or not.

Inuyasha and Death Note should get times during the day in addition to the times already in place. It would draw more people in by making them not have to get up at 2 in the morning.

Number of viewers or content ratings? If it's the latter, there's nothing stopping them. They could air hardcore porn for 24 hours and no one would be able to do a thing since the FCC only controls broadcast networks.
