Finally, at last, just as I foresaw before, I beat Red in HeartGold. After slowly training my team up to lvl. 80 each one (though my Lucario was lvl. 89), that speechless bastard went down this morning. I wanted to train my HeartGold team instead of doing the cheap way and trade over my other team in Platinum. Yes, it feels rewarding now. ;)
Just out curiosity, have you beat him yet? Discuss.
I still haven't beaten Clair yet.
Yeah, but he was really hard. I wish he would talk.

Because you played rom hacks.
I have my copy at home but still haven't had the chance to get home and open it ,_,
Congratulations.
Maybe we can both get Rayquaza now together sometime after you catch Kyogre!

You're just here just to get a Pokemon you can get over GTS any day. \:

Yup, tell me when you can find a person who wants to trade a Rayquaza or a Kyogre for something reasonable. OK? Thanks.

You know I know that and that he's been looking for a Kyogre?

Which is why I'm asking you. All of the people I know that play pokemon have Soul Silver, not Heart Gold.

Isn't it the other way around?
Yeah, I have Soul Silver.
I know a guy who beat Red with his highest level pokemon at 64. Currently I am grinding my new party to a level I can challenge him at.

I just beat Clair today and just barely at that
at least I got my extremespeed Dratini
the trainer rematch system is much worse in Gold and Silver
Can you fight Red more than once? I'm nowhere near ready to legitimately beat him with my actual team.
I did beat him with a Lv.100 team of 4 that I trained a few years back on Emerald and then FireRed...
Now that I think about it, its kind of awkward that I trained them in FireRed while playing as Red, then used the same team to beat him...
Aw well, I'm done with those Lv.100s now, still trying to get my ACTUAL team to proper levels to beat Clair and Lance in the Double Battle in Dragon's Den.
P.S. If anyone would like a Battle Frontier partner btw, I would be glad to team up with you.

So, you brought over a team of lvl. 100 now, but you haven't beat him with the actual team of your version?

Yes, I believe so.
