Putting pictures of yourself in your profile? How dumb can you get? Yeah sure, you aren't giving your name out or anything, but still. Yes I know that it's not really my problem, but the people doing it, but still, it's funnier people not knowing what you look like online anyways :P

Some people like to put there pics on "public" TO Reach friends.
Thats another way of doing it.
I have ton's a friends online, but I don't know what they look like.
It's on the internet, more or less, for this situation, making your picture
public is trying to attract "Other people" (known/not known)
to look at your picture.

I see no problem with it. I already have my photo on facebook. Its not like I'm giving an adress, name or phone number. I've been in anonymity for 4 years on NSider and I believe that if people want to know who I am visually they can know.
I find it interesting finding out who is behind the screen name, anyways.
Yeah I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just think IMO that it's a bad idea, but it's up to you.

Um, you do realise that regardless of your privacy settings, your default display picture on MySpace is visible to everyone, right?
Plus, paedophiles can't have their way with me so I couldn't care less if my photo's up.

I agree that it is stupid for the profile owner would post a picture of himself in his profile.
