One rule I have a problem with.

Seriously.

We can't use awesome. I know, stupid smiley, etc. etc.

But that actually has situations where it can be used. It means "Awesome." So, basically.

"DUDE! *insert character here* made it to Brawl! awesome;"

The smiley there means that it's awesome that whoever made it to Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Nothing wrong with that!

I understand things like "Hey. awesome;"

"What's up? awesome;"

Etc.

But not in proper uses? That's just wrong.

And what about other smileys? Such as...



Can we use them in proper situations?

Yeah, I dislike that rule as well. Banning a smiley because it's abused makes no sense.
Why not just go ahead and ban people from saying "yep" because people make entire posts out of it while you're at it?

Yeah, that is one rule that is sorta weird...

I mean it should be allowed, as long as it isn't butchered, but the moment someone uses it just as a post, with nothing else in it, immediate ban for dem.  :)

Yeah, it was definitely abused back on NSider, and like Snorkel, I don't have a big issue with it as long as it's used in the same amounts as swearing (or somewhere close).

Aside from that...yeah, it's still a smiley, so it's not totally harmful to your eyes...maybe...
