I don't really feel like I know anybody very well. I guess Silver's the closest, but I'd expect a conversation with him to be like a quick "oh hi"

It kind of depends, I would wait to see how the conversation with someone was going and try to jump in, maybe have a cigarette with someone here if they wanted to and jump into a conversation like that.
If it was like a NSFCD con I would most likely not just walk up to anyone in particular and start talking with them.
