The thing that you hate most when talking to people

Watching a movie or something with someone who's seen it before.

Them: "Watch, X happens now."

Them again: "And now Y"

It's sort of the opposite for me.

*New person appears on screen*
Them:  Who is that?  Do you know who that is?  Why are they there?
Me:  I DON'T KNOW.  I'M WATCHING THE SAME MOVIE YOU ARE. I HAVE NOT SEEN IT EITHER.  But I'm sure if you will shut the intercourse  up, we both might figure out what's happening.

When I'm with a group of people, we run out of things to talk about, and then we just get that awkward silence.

However, it's different when we run out of things to talk about, and get the silence when it's late at night and we're on our way back from some place or something. Then it's actually kinda comforting.

I hate it when talk show/interview cameramen do a close-up of a speaker's hand gestures. It's nearly pointless since I can already see it and their face says so much more.
