Title: Switch Crisis - Another NSF Werewolf [Finished!] (Uhh...wow. Again?)
Post by: SkyMyl on January 21, 2011, 06:25:59 PM
"Yeah...nothing is different at all. Same old life, nothing different at all."

For MYL, life was as dull and boring as it could possibly be. Nothing eventful ever happened in the village he lived in, save for periods where a majority of the village would leave for other lands, to visit relatives and friends. Unfortunately for him, it would be another week before everyone would come back from such a vacation period, in Febuary. The people left in the village, himself included, were only there to make sure no harm came of the village. "What's the point of keeping us here if nothing bad ever happens, anyway?", he thought.

He stared outside his window at the melting snow, in an effort to amuse himself while waiting for a download on his computer to finish. As he was watching every particle of snow melt into water from the sun's radiating heat, he felt a chill down his spine, almost as if he was being watched. He turned around, and as usual, there was nothing behind him. He continued to stare at his window when his phone suddenly began to go off. He reached inside his pocket and pulled it out, accepting the call.

"Howdy, you've just reached the line of unemployment. If I can help y-"

"MYL, we've got a situation! I just found Night dead inside his house!"

"What!? How'd he die?"

"Well...you aren't going to believe this, but from the way this bloody mess of a scene looks...he committed suicide. I'm also staring at the carcass of what appears to be a werewolf, right in front of him. He's slumped beside his sofa, with a shotgun lying right beside him."

"Damn...he killed a werewolf and offed himself? But...why?"

"Just come on over, please. Bring the other villagers with you, too! *click*"

MYL threw his phone onto his bed and smirked with satisfaction. A werewolf sighting...something that, for some reason, felt all too familiar to him, but still felt so new that he was ready for another adventure. He donned his baseball cap and jacket, and ran outside. It was the start of another incident.

Just like my previous werewolf, phenomenal, groundbreaking storytelling is not my goal. I'm not shooting for anything that takes more than five minutes to read, either, so this shouldn't be Xenosaga 4: Guns of the Patriots level length, hopefully.

Welcome readers, and welcome to another one of NSF's werewolves, this time one that isn't so reliant on the foundation set by a previous WW to step above it. No, I'm not going to start pulling a Mack and adding all sorts of convoluted roles, but it's not going to be as fueled by previous WW's as Determination was. I'd also like to point out that NSF technically had another WW in the works, but sign-ups never got filled and the host...kinda forgot about this place. That aside, let's get started here.

This WW is going to have a grand total of 10 players, which should be enough slots for our small site. The only thing that is different from Determination, save for some of the roles, is voting. Instead of PMing me your votes, you guys are going to post your votes during the Day Phase lynchings. Partially because this is different, partially due to some player preference. With all that said, let's get some of the rules out of the way for this WW.

This game's guidelines

Nothing much has changed from the last time, other than the method of voting and, of course, the roles. So if you know how to play a werewolf, awesome, you're set to go. We don't have any new members that seem to be interested in werewolves, so I think it'll just be veterans this go around.

Ending requirements:

Good End: The townspeople are the only party remaining.
Neutral End: The werewolves are the last party standing at the end.
Bad End: The evil third-party role (of which there is one) kills everyone.

Just post below to sign up, and once we've got a full roster, we're set to go on another WW after an absence of such games for near 5 months...by the way, I've got absolutely nothing against Night.
Title: Switch Crisis - Quick guide to the phases
Post by: SkyMyl on January 21, 2011, 06:26:19 PM
Day Phase 1 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg587704#msg587704): Ray was lynched by 4 votes, and was a werewolf.
Night Phase 1 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg587802#msg587802): Magnum, the Sentinel, survived a werewolf attack. Kayo, on the other hand, died by the hands of the vigilante, and was the Sage.
Day Phase 2 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg587863#msg587863): Silver was lynched by 3 votes, and was the evil third-party role, The Operator.
Night Phase 2 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg587942#msg587942): TK, the Grand Thief, died by the fist of the vigilante. The werewolf tried to kill TK, but arrived after he was killed.
Day Phase 3 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg588045#msg588045): J was unanimously voted off to die, but due to his role, Alex Kralie, he could not be lynched as he had proof of his innocence.
Night Phase 3 (http://nsfcd.com/index.php?topic=37157.msg588117#msg588117): Shuj, the final werewolf, tried to kill KJ, the White Mage, but died at the fist of Light, who was the Elvaan Paladin.
Conclusion chapter: ...?

Second, why is there Mack and me in the same slot, when I also have a separate slot all to myself? I'M SO CONFUSED

Someone's being awfully nitpicky about something so minor. Shouldn't matter what spot you're in, as long as you're a player, right? To the second, Mack does have more than one alias...better clear that up before hitting the sack.

So now that we've got our 12th player, this means we're going to start soon! We should be starting by Thursday at the latest. Apologies for the hold-up on this.

Basic plot you don't need to read especially since it was rushed part 1:
"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE, WE'VE GOT A PREDICAMENT HERE!"

The booming voice of the local daredevil echoed among the large village, now populated by very few people. There was a gathering in the town square, organized immediately after the discovery of Night's corpse.

"As you all know, Night is dead, unfortunately. It seems the man went down after a tangle with a werewolf, a vicious beast that I, myself, have had experience in dealing with. This creature can only be identified when the moon is full, during the night, otherwise appearing to be a normal human being. The only other way to identify a werewolf is after they have been killed, in broad daylight."

Some of the townspeople began to whisper back and forth.

"There's no clear cut way to kill these beasts, and from my experience, there's truly only one surefire way to get rid of 'em without seeming like a mass murderer; a lynching."

The small crowd began to discuss this with each other for a brief amount of time before the town daredevil interrupted the ongoing chat to continue.

"Here's how it'll work, guys and gal. You are all going to openly speak up the name of the person you think is a werewolf, every one of you. Then, when everyone has spoken, the person with the most votes will be offed, and after that, we'll see if they're a werewolf or not. If there's any objections to this method at all, speak up now."

"Well, we could undergo a background check of everyone of us to see if we have an alibi, or place traps in front of our houses at night should we leave the confines of our homes. Both are much more preferable than your barbaric, almost counter productive method of disposing werewolves."

"You aren't the one who plucked the shotgun from Night's house, are ya Mack? You aren't the one who has a say in how we handle this situation."

"Then why the intercourse  did you ask us if we had any objections to your plan?"

"Because, KJ, I like seeing the reactions of you guys. If there's nothing else to be said, then let's proceed on with the first lynching of this werewolf event!"

And so, begrudgingly, it began...
All right, we're all set to go now! Sent every player a role, so if you guys have any questions regarding your role functions or anything game related, just send me a PM. We're currently in Day Phase 1, which ends this Thursday, at 8:00 PM EST. You guys had better have all your votes ready by then. (Just saying) Remember, post who you're going to vote for.

The story you don't need to read to understand the outcome:
"START YOUR VOTING AND LET'S GET THIS SITUATION THE HELL OUTTA THE WAY!"

Shortly thereafter, the few townspeople began openly accusing one of their own to be werewolves. It was troublesome for them, as they had grown close to each other and had considered each other like family, and for them to be left with little options other than randomly accusing a person to be killed was emotionally difficult. After long period of silence and deliberating over the subject, a pattern had begun to form.

"I think it's Ray.", spoke TK.

"So do I.", Light commented.

"Ditto'd.", Magnum agreed..

"Same here.", Kayo flatly replied.

KJ broke the bandwagon of voting for Ray by saying, "Actually, I'm going to guess Kayo."

"My heart just broke a little, KJ.", Kayo reacted.

"Contrary to me, who adores everyone of you guys.", Ray quipped, referring to his abnormally high vote count.

"Kayo, I like you and all, but I think you're a wolf."

More time passed on, but not everyone had voted for anyone else. Growing impatient, the man in charge stepped up and bellowed out, "WELL, WELL, WELL. Looks like we've reached a majority! Ray-"

"ACTUALLY, I'm changing my vote to Kayo as well!" Light hastily interrupted the man.

"...poop. Now we have to flip a coin to figure out who we're gonna kill."

"I hope you're aware how cold you made yourself out to be with that statement.", Mack commented.

"Well, actually...I'm going to vote Ray as well.", Dawnwolf said at the last minute.

"Please, is there anyone else who hasn't voted yet that wants to affect this outcome!?"

The man was greeted with a vast, empty void of nothing in return to his question.

"...very well. Ray, step forward and pray to whatever God you believe in, because I do believe it's time to determine just what you really are."

"How about no?"

"...I'm sorry, what?"

Ray sprinted away from the crowd, towards the outskirts of the town. He ran as far as his legs could carry him, away from the man ready to shoot him down. He took a glance behind him to see if the crowd was chasing after him, which indeed they were, and they weren't too far off. Ray couldn't run any quicker, and began to lose his energy, before tripping on a crack in the ground, faceplanting on the ground. Before he could scramble to his feet, he was pinned down by the man, who pointed his shotgun to Ray's back.

"You wouldn't be running unless you had somethin' to hide, Ray."

"You're going to kill me on the slight possibility I might be a werewolf! That's plenty reason to run, especially after last time!"

"Last time? Sounds like someone's got a bit of an intriguing past..."

"Tch, if I'm not a werewolf, then you'll have the murder of an innocent on your hands!"

"I'm fully aware of the consequences, Ray. If those are your last words, then I'll hold them close and be sure to see if they're hollow or not!"

With a click, Ray's life was over. The man stepped off the now lifeless corpse and gazed at it patiently, as if he was expecting something to happen. Everyone gathered around Ray's body, mourning the loss of one of their own. Suddenly, Ray's body began to change. Hair began to sprout all over his bare skin, and his body began to morph into that of a feral beast. The man smirked, and spoke proudly.

"Gaze upon the remnants of what you once thought was an ally, villagers."
The results of day phase 1:

 • Rayquarian: 4 votes
 • Kayo: 3 votes

Hot darn, you guys narrowly avoided the coin flip tiebreaker. But luckily, Dawnwolf came to the rescue and voted Ray, who was one of the two Werewolves you guys have to lynch. Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done, but get ready, because we're entering Night Phase 1 now, and judging from this phase alone...I imagine things are going to get steamy, and not in the erotic way.

I should also mention Night Phase 1 ends tomorrow (Friday), at 9 PM EST.

Random trivia: Ray was the last person to die in our previous werewolf, Determination. He was also a werewolf in Determination. In Switch Crisis, he was the first to die, also a werewolf. Amazing, isn't it?

If you didn't vote, there would've been a tie, which I would have had to flip a coin to determine who died. So there would've been a 50% chance Kayo would have been lynched.

Also, deadline for the Night Phase is tomorrow, at 9 PM EST. Didn't mention that in the initial post.

Post by: SkyMyl on February 04, 2011, 07:33:52 PM
"One who seeks vengeance for a fallen comrade.", a low, almost feral voice replied back.

Magnum grew more wary and conscious after hearing a reply from someone else. No one else in the village would break into Magnum's own home for any reason. Putting 2 and 2 together, he retorted back, "Ah, so you're the other werewolf we're looking to kill, are ya?"

Magnum heard the sound of paws scratching against wood, like the sound of a dog scrambling to get across a slippery surface. The sound grew louder and louder, circling around Magnum, who immediately turned the nearest light source on (a dim lamp) and backed into the center of the room, staring into the only two entrances to the living room he was now standing in. Suddenly, the werewolf pounced Magnum from behind him, knocking Magnum to the floor. To the surprise of the werewolf, who was growling viciously, ready to attack, Magnum stood back up and tackled the werewolf into the wall. The werewolf leaped back at Magnum and slashed at Magnum, who blocked the strike with only his two arms. The werewolf continued to slash and snarl at his supposed victim, but Magnum continued to defend himself against every strike, never appearing to grow weary. The werewolf eventually backed away towards one of Magnum's windows, and rested for a moment.

"And here I thought you guys would be a lot tougher to knock out than this, from the way that guy was speaking. Turns out you're nothing worth fearing about.", Magnum taunted.

"You will regret those words, Magnum..."

"Get outta my house already!"

Magnum once again tackled the werewolf, this time against a window, which shattered under the weight of both Magnum and the werewolf, whose supposed superhuman strength couldn't match up to Magnum's defensive capabilities. Magnum walked over to the werewolf, whose body was torn with glass shrapnel, and punched it in what he assumed was its stomach. The werewolf hurriedly went back on its feet, and fled, whimpering as it did so. Magnum was quick to react, sprinting after the beast to put an end to it, but eventually lost sight of it. With a sigh, he walked back to his now quiet house, pondering why the werewolf targeted him, and how he would fix his broken windows.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
While Magnum was dealing with a werewolf, Kayo was sitting in his dimly lit room, staring at his empty notebook. He sat in his chair with his signature knife, staring only at that marble notebook, almost expecting something to happen. He twirled the knife around in his hands, trying to gather his thoughts. "Werewolves, merciless beasts of the night, and any one of us could be one, especially after the Ray revelation..."

He finally stood up out of his chair and stabbed the notebook with his knife.

"I'm not going to let this intercourse er kill everyone while I sit and do nothing!"

Kayo stormed out of his room in a hurry, determined to figure out who the last werewolf was, before anyone else got killed innocently. He ran down the stairs, opened his front door, and stopped right as the soles of his feet met the soft earth. He considered who to go for first, and tried to think of who would be the most suspicious out of everyone. Unknown to Kayo, however, was that he was being watched from above his rooftop.

"The moon is going to be out at any moment...but heroes never go back on their promises, no matter how brash"

The unknown man on top of the roof leaped off, right arm coiled backwards, ready to strike. He yelled as loudly as he could, "MEGATON PUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!" immediately before making impact with the boy, who turned around milliseconds before the iron clad fist of his assailant impacted against his face. The boy's body flew immediately after being struck, and skidded into the bushes of another's home before he stopped skidding across the ground. His attacker, who had landed firmly on his feet after the initial punch, hastily walked over to where the boy's body was.

"Let's see if you truly are a werewolf, K......oh."

The man gazed at the body of the once living Kayo, whose face was near unidentifiable due to the force of the punch. The man backed away for a minute, exclaiming, "Heroes...don't run from their mistakes. They face them head on."

"...I'm sorry, K."

The man proceeded to dash away from the body as quickly as his feet would carry him, so he would not be considered the murderer of an innocent boy.
The aftermath of Night Phase 1...

The head count is now at 10, and it's Day Phase 2 now, which ends, predictably, tomorrow at 9 PM EST.

More story that no one cares about, right? Yes. Part 1 is the plot discovering last night's events, because I didn't cover that last night.
"Listen up all you sons 'a ninnyes, poop got serious last night."

The man with the shotgun stood beside the site where Ray's once exposed body lay, explaining the situation after last night's events. The group of villagers were all gathered, except for Kaos, who they assumed had sleeped in late and was going to be awakened. The man gestured to Magnum to stand beside him, as if to help explain. Magnum obliged, and walked over to the man's side.

"According to what Magnum here told me, he barely survived an encounter with one of these bastards. Broke into his house expecting blood to be shed, not aware he was in far more danger than Magnum was! Isn't that right, boy?"

"Yeah, but at least I don't have to use the air conditioner, since my windows are always open and there's always going to be a breeze."

"...but what Magnum also brought to my attention is far less comforting than that."

The villagers wondered what could be even more discomforting than a werewolf ransacking a house, seeking the blood of an innocent. Silver was already ahead of everyone's train of thoughts, and inquired about Kaos. "Has anyone seen Kayo since yesterday?"

"No...and that's what's disheartening. A werewolf attacked, but according to Magnum, it was covered in bruises and cuts when it fled, and from my knowledge, a werewolf only attacks once a night. Even better, did anyone else hear someone shouting in the middle of the night?"

"...yes...but it's not like it interrupted anything important.", Mack commented.

"You too, Mack?" KJ sarcastically asked.

"What you're getting at is that someone human killed Kayo?" Silver interrupted.

"Aye, that is indeed what I'm getting at. Potentially someone who did it out of spite, or suspicion. But we can't determine this if we don't know where the body is!"

"Assuming he truly is dead.", Mack added.

"...guys, where'd dawnwolf go off too?", KJ inquired.

Everyone started looking around, and realized that dawnwolf was nowhere to be seen. In fact, no one had seen him since the gathering began. "Fuck, not dawnwolf, too!", the man exclaimed. Everyone split up in a dash to find dawnwolf, searching around every open area of the village. For KJ, it didn't take long to find dawnwolf, sitting on the porch of Kayo's house, staring down at the ground solemnly.

"EVERYONE, I FOUND HIM NEAR KAYO'S HOUSE!" KJ shouted. "Thank God you're still alive, Dawnwolf! You worried the poop out of all of us!"

Dawnwolf did not face KJ, but instead pointed directly ahead of him, his gaze still focused towards the ground. Under his breath, he whispered something so low KJ couldn't make out a single word of it.

"Dawnwolf...? What's wro-" KJ stopped her question as she stared in the direction Dawnwolf pointed in. Directly across from Kayo's house, near MYL's house, lay Kayo's body, lying in the bushes. KJ ran over to the bushes and pushed the leafy mess out of her sight to see what had become of the boy, to find a gory mess where his face once was.

"...poop...no..."

"Well, intercourse .", the man exclaimed.

"When did you get here!?" KJ shouted, being taken by surprise at the man's sudden appearance.

"Just a moment ago, after you called out, chica. Seems like he wasn't killed by a werewolf after all...he sure as hell took a blow to his face, though."

The man scooped up the body of Kayo and began to walk back to the lynching site. "In case you folks ask, we're burying his body near the lynching site, and proceeding with the lynching."
And THIS covers today's lynching, which we almost didn't have!
"Rest in piece, Kayo. You shall be missed by all of us.", the man spoke. It was surprising hearing a statement so respectful, coming from this man.

"Maybe not by all...considering our circumstances.", Mack said quickly.

"It's day 2 of this werewolf epidemic, everyone, and I suppose it's time we continued our little attempt at finding this wolf by mass votes. Voting begins...NOW!"

"Silver!", Magnum quickly shouted.

"Yeah, I'll vote for Magnum.", Light jokingly said.

"Hey, I proved I was innocent already! You see this scar on my left arm? That was from the poor wolf that tried to mess with me!"

"I'm kidding, Magnum.", Light said with a smirk. "I'm also going to vote for Silver."

"Silver as well.", So_So_Man agreed.

"Actually, I'm voting for Shuj.", TK said as he broke the combo.

"What? Why are you going for me, TK?"

"You hopped on the second bandwagon, and I'm suspicious of that action."

"Oh, you've got to be kidding..."

"I think that's good enough.", J remarked.

"Hey, who calls the shots here, bucko?", the man called out.

"Lynch Silver."

"...we are, if there's a majority."

"No. Now. Right now."

"But why?"

"Do it now! You're all oblivious to what he truly is, and he's the real reason we're even having this problem to begin with! You have to believe me here!"

"...hmph.", Silver retorted, his stare fixated at the ground, much like Dawnwolf's.

"You know what, J...you're onto something here. I'm closing the lynch here. Silver doesn't seem like his usual derpy self today, and in the history of this village, from what I can tell, no matter how serious the situation, this man is always "HERP DERP NO INDOOR VOICE RHYTHM GAME FAG", but this...to be so hushed? Silver, as I told Ray, pray to whatever God you believe in before I lay down my boo-"

"No (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbjNcgxJ3Dc)."

"...what?", the man quizzically inquired.

"I don't submit to any feeble Gods." Silver stepped forward to the man, out of the crowd, and stared him directly in the eye. "Tell me, Nicholas. Who is more foolish: the man who fears the light, or the boy who fears the dark?"

"...no...it can't be you..."

"What are you doing!? Kill him now!"

"This is nothing more than a test, between a spoiled brat and her own creation."

Suddenly, the sky's clear blue sky became filled with white clouds, covering up the sun, exposing the villagers to a slight shadow. The man pointed his shotgun at Silver, and shot at him anyway. Silver fell flat onto the ground, lying in a pool of his own blood. The man dropped his gun, backed away, and fell onto his knees.

"No...no...no...intercourse intercourse intercourse intercourse FUCK...this ain't good, everyone..."

"What happened to Silver!?", Mack demanded.

"Oh God...what the intercourse  was that...", KJ asked.

"...that wasn't Silver.", Dawnwolf suddenly spoke.

"J, why did you ask the man to kill Silver so suddenly?", KJ inquired.

"KJ...when you've been stalked for months by that humanoid abomination, you'll understand."

"What are you talking about, J?, Shuj asked.

"Look at his body, everyone.", J went on.

Everyone stared at the puddle of blood, where Silver's body was originally lying...only to find a vacant pool of blood. Everyone stared in all directions, searching for the body of Silver, and found nothing. He was clearly shot in the chest, but his body was no more. Everyone huddled together, silently panicking at this incredibly paranormal and unsettling revelation.

"Whatever the poop happens to us...is going to lead into a tragedy far worse than this situation.", the man quietly, and ominously, spoke.
The results of today's lynching!

 • Silver: 3 votes
 • Shujinco: 1 vote

Silver, the person who was lynched, was none other than the evil third-party role, The Operator. He could kill any person whenever he wished, OR he could send a note to any player, who would be removed from the game a phase later, and would be unable to be revived as they are missing, and not killed. It's one of those roles that I was hoping would get used but never DID get used, since the person who I gave it to got so absorbed by The World Ends With You that he forgot to send in his votekill last night.
But who'S TO say that he was the real Slender Man, o fair Participants?
But hey, that works for you innocents. Only one more werewolf to kill and the game is finished! The progress you guys have made is quite impressive, but can you keep up the pace in the coming phases? Find out after Night Phase 2, which ends at 9 PM EST tomorrow!

Post by: SkyMyl on February 06, 2011, 07:39:40 PM
So, I had a cool story planned. Then two people did the same thing and it was derailed. But then I made a better one so it's okay

The Vigilante's assault.
After the revelation of Silver's identity, the man told everyone to barricade themselves inside their houses for the entire night, and to not come out until the next day. He also told them to not make a single sound once they were inside their homes. The man had seemed panicked, more panicked and distraught than anyone had ever seen him previously until that Silver incident. J's pleas and apparent knowledge of the incident was of little comfort, and only added to the panic of how someone knew just what was going on, but would not share the information.

For TK, it didn't take long. He didn't get any answers by asking J, who told him "The less you know about this thing, the better your chance of survival is." in the most serious tone he could muster. TK was already on his computer, discarded cans of Pepsi scattered across the wooden floor of his room. He was frantically searching for as much information as he could find on this, but was getting nowhere with no specific names or terms to search on. With only two minutes and a few vague, cryptic lines, he was losing leads.

*creaaaak*

TK turned his attention to his door, which did not ease its way open, as he thought. He left his chair, and the comfort of his room, to see what was lurking in the dark of his house, as it does not naturally move or creak without human influence. He grabbed a nearby combat knife from his desk, and walked out of his room, into the hallway. As quietly as he could, he tip-toed through the calm darkness, ready to be assaulted and possibly killed. He had been suspicious that certain members were targeting him in particular, given his own experience with dire situations such as this, having grown up in a city of crime, held firmly by the mafia.

"I can only hope you'll forgive me for what I'm about to do, TK. But a hero has to take every precaution necessary...by any means!"

TK, in response to hearing a voice in the dark, darted back to his illuminated room, where it was far easier to see, and easier to fend off an attack, no matter the identity of his would-be attacker. He didn't get very far before tripping on his own foot, though. Rather than get up, he instead called out to the mysterious character in the dark.

"Hey, before you attack me, I've got a question to ask of you."

"...how did you know I was here?", the surprised attacker inquired.

"You're loud enough for me to hear you. It's not exactly like you're the most quiet person out there."

"It seems this hero is not at all a stealthy one...that would be a more appropriate manner of attacking by those filthy ninjas."

"My question to you is this, because you're clearly someone from this village, and not an outsider." TK stood up, and leaned against the wall within the darkness, as if to show how little fear he had. "What do you think when Silver said, 'Who is more foolish: the man who fears the light, or the boy who fears the dark?'"

"I'm...not sure. I assume it was a riddle he spoke aloud, to screw with our minds and dissuade us from finding the last werewolf. But this hero has not fallen for it!"

"The man who fears the light, or the boy who fears the dark...I think I've figured out what he meant by that, in only one day. Such a shame to die with that knowledge, unfortunately..."

TK sat down on the floor, still leaning against the wall. He took a deep breath and openly announced, "My death isn't going to matter, if my assumptions are right...it'll all happen again eventually."

"Enough of your nonsense, wolf! I've had enough with your attempts at clouding my mind with confusion, delaying your demise!", the mystery man said.

The man revealed his location, by running up the stairs at full throttle, once again exclaiming "MEGATON PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!" at the top of his lungs. TK did not make any efforts to flee, and accepted his death. The man punched into what he assumed was TK's head, but had misassumed TK's height and punched was really his chest. The man let out a yelp as he realized his hand, now inside TK's chest, was in contact with his heart. The man backed away and pulled his hand out, which happened to be dripping with blood. He stood there, for a little while longer, staring at TK in the darkness of his house...and found that TK's body did not morph into that of a werewolf, and was completely innocent.

The man closed his eyes and winced. He made another misassumption and took the life of an innocent. He walked back down the stairs, and out of the house grimly.
And the werewolf's "attack".
The werewolf was on the move, ready to take vengeance, once again, for his fallen comrade. Still wounded from his fight with Magnum, he was not ready to go back for seconds, and instead focused his attention to another individual. One who he had briefly researched into the background of whilst in human form, and using that knowledge to his advantage, knew that this person would be a ripe first kill.

The werewolf crashed into the door of an innocent's home, ran up the stairs, on all fours, ready to pounce on his prey, and...found TK's body slumped against the wall, now covered in more blood than it had been half an hour ago. The werewolf stood at TK's body, astonished and enraged that someone else had already taken care of him. The werewolf was also disappointed that he was unable to kill an innocent since this incident had begun. The werewolf kicked TK's corpse, just to feel as though his attempts at revenge were not wasted. He did not feel like seeking out TK's killer, to exact revenge for stealing his kill.

The werewolf left TK's house and howled sharply into the night sky, making his presence known. He fled back to his human form's house for the remainder of the night, eager for the next night.
The aftermath of Night Phase 2...

 • The vigilante killed TK, the Grand Thief. He could steal any one person's role, rendering them completely powerless, only able to vote. Thing is, once he got a role, he was stuck with it. And, of course, he never used it since he was still mulling it over. After all, if he tried to steal a role and it was The Operator's role or a werewolf's role, he would die automatically.
 • The werewolf, who sent me his votekill after the vigilante did, was late to the party and couldn't kill TK as he was already dead. The werewolf just sort of...sulked the night away after that.

Two people targeted the same guy in one night? I know you guys are suspicious, but that's just hilarious. Good thing I never made it so that, "LOOK, TWO KILLING ROLES TARGETED THE SAME PERSON, HOW ABOUT A THREE-WAY TO SEE WHO SURVIVES", because it would've been really...weird. There's actually a way this situation could've been infinitely funnier, but I'll explain that when their role is either revealed, or the game ends.

We're in Day Phase 3 now, which ends Monday, 10 PM EST! Results might not be up until Tuesday morning, but that's when voting ends, and I'll try posting the results before Tuesday.

I've been doing some thinking, and I think off-ing the Vig is probably better.

Chances are he's going to kill one of us vs. the WW.

The aftermath of yesterday crossed into today's lynching! No, it's not laziness...what gives you that idea?

[Apologies, guys, but I couldn't quite finish the story tonight. I'll fix it up after I wake up on Tuesday, though. Night Phase goes on as usual!
"EVERYONE GATHER 'ROUND, WE'VE GOT A SITUATION HERE!"

The man's booming voice echoed across the entire village, awakening those still in a slumber, forcing those awake to rush to the lynching point. Everyone remaining gathered at the lynching point as quickly as they could, but arrived to find the man missing.

"EVERYONE RUSH OVER TO TK'S HOUSE!", the man added minutes later.

J knew very well what was coming. He immediately knew what had become of TK, and solemnly walked with the rest of the group to his house, most of whom were still half-asleep. Some time later, they had all arrived at TK's house, to find the front door half of what it used to be, and saw blood at the base of the stairs near the front of the house.

"No...not TK!", KJ reacted.

"Damn it all...we just can't make it through a night without someone dying.", Magnum spoke aloud.

"That wolf is going to pay, I swear it...", Mace quietly vowed.

"Actually, if you would all get in the house, you would notice that it wasn't a wolf that killed TK!'

Perplexed, the villagers walked into the house and up the stairs, to find TK's body slumped against the wall, while not the bloody mess Kayo's body was, it seemed TK took a similar blow that Kayo did. The man was crouching next to TK's body, shotgun at his side, grimly staring at what was once the person who had one of the friendliest attitudes in the town.

"It was the same person that got Kayo, from the looks of this wound here. I swear I'm going to find out who this "MEGATON PUNCH" guy is before today ends..."

"Let's give him the same treatment we gave Kayo and give him a burial before today's lynching, shall we?", J nonchalantly said.

"I'm not digging your attitude there, J.", Shuj openly, and suddenly, spoke.

"What do you mean, Shuj?"

Shuj split from the crowd and dived for the man's shotgun, flipped around, and aimed it at J's head, who promptly raised his hands up in the air.

"Give me one reason why we shouldn't be suspicious of you after yesterday's incident, J."

"Yo, Shuj! No need to be so fierce in accusing him here!", Magnum shouted.

"Shujnco, put the gun down. Now.", the man demanded.

"No, he's the last wolf, I'm certain of it!"

"Shuj, stop!", KJ pleaded.

"You're insane, Shuj! I didn't know Silver's identity, but what he truly was, is something that I was well aware of for months now. And because of that, I have full proof that I'm innocent!"

"I want this proof. Right now."

"It's in my house. Are you willing to let me go out of my way to get the proof, Shuj?"

"...we'll go together. Lead me to your supposed innocence, Rose."

"...J and Shuj confirmed for gay lovers.", Mack quipped.

Shuj turned his attention to Mack, and gave him the deadliest, most serious glare he could muster. Taking in a deep breath, he redirected his attention back to J, and gestured him out of the house, still holding him at gunpoint. J simply sighed, and walked out of the house, followed by Shuj, and everyone else, leaving TK's body in his house for now.

As the group neared J's house, they began whispering to one another, KJ to Light in particular. It seemed that they were discussing something perfectly serious, as there was not a fit of giggling heard from either of them. Shuj continued to follow J to his house. When they reached the abode of J, he reached for his keys, unlocked his door, and walked up the stairs to his own bedroom. Before J turned the knob to his bedroom door, he turned to the group, and calmly raised his hands up. "Can you all please give me some privacy and not come into my room? I'd...rather you guys not see what's in there."

"No. We're going into your room, like it or not.", Shuj said as he denied J.

"...I'm not one to argue while I'm at gunpoint, I suppose. Was worth a shot."

J turned the knob to his room and walked inside. The instant everyone saw the door creak open further, it became apparent why J didn't want anyone to see what was in his room. The floor was littered with papers, ripped, crumpled, some even burned. Whatever papers ripped from a marble notebook weren't on the floor were pinned to the wall near J's bed, which were too, were decorated with scribbles, if they could even be called that. Large strokes of pen and permanent marker spelled out numerous, cryptic phrases, and a curious symbol that could only be described as an X on top of a O. J was rummaging through his computer desk to find something, whilst everyone was gazing at the cluttered mess of papers and sheets everywhere. Eventually, he spoke aloud, "Found them!" Everyone redirected their attention to J, who held up a stack of cassette tapes.

"I'm going to admit that, with The Operator, I took no chances...I've been recording myself for the past few months, to make sure anything that sneaks up on me gets caught on tape. Luckily, they're about to come in handy for this werewolf incident. These tapes contain footage of me doing anything in my house from two weeks ago to yesterday. Take a look through them, and you'll see that I'm perfectly innocent." He handed the tapes to Shuj, and pointed the group to the VCR he had hooked up.

"It might take a while, to go through all of them, though."

Shuj grimaced at the sight of these tapes, for whatever reason. J assumed it was due to the amount and possible length they all amounted to. Watching them would mean there wouldn't be a lynching, but to Shuj, it was worth it if he could prove J guilty.

Many hours later...

"FUCK.", Shuj cursed aloud. "Looks like you're innocent after all, J."

"Well, that was...an interesting watch, J. That really what you did before you went to sleep?", Magnum slyly asked.

"...yeah. If these tapes proved my lack of connection to the werewolves, though, then it was worth losing some dignity."

"I'm wondering why the hell we didn't just do this from Day 1.", the man spoke, referring to the recording method.

"The Operator...he can interfere with the minds of humans around him, to his own benefit. I still haven't figured out what it is he wants, but it's clear that this isn't good for us, with our methods in discovering the wolves."

"At least we've avoided killing anyone innocent during the day...but at night, it seems someone is going around making incorrect assumptions.", Dawnwolf remarked.

Someone in the group groaned loudly in response to Dawnwolf.

"Whatever the case, we're good here. J's innocent, and I think we've spent enough time accusing one person of being a wolf. I'm calling today's lynching off, because I think we need to chill before offing someone today...Shuj."

Shujinco turned a shade of red and handed the shotgun back to the man.

"Thank you. I sure as hell hope you don't make another mistake like that again, because you're gettin' high on my list of suspicious villagers.", the man threatened.

Shujinco gulped, and responded, "It won't happen again..."

"Now then, I'm going to go back and give TK a proper send-off.", the man spoke. "KJ, would you mind giving me a hand in doing so?", he added.

"Sure."
The results of today's lynching!

 • Votes: JRose/J (4 votes)

J, who is UNRELATED to the J of that...other series, happened to secretly be Alex Kralie, which would have been a plot twist so shocking that Marble Hornets would have been criticized for it. While, rolewise, he was unaware of The Operator's presence, as a role he was fully aware of it, and had documented himself with his trusty camera for months now. It's because of this that he has concrete evidence, that he is unable to be lynched, and only killed by other means.

Thus, no one was lynched today! And now we're in Night Phase 3, which ends at 9 PM tomorrow, as usual. Who knows, maybe there's going to be a massive plot changer this phase, that'll make everyone "What."?

Alright, just like he said. Now, if you have that revive role, go ahead and use it. Werewolf, be a cool guy and try not to kill J this turn.

Finished that story for anyone that was held in suspense (meaning no one, right?), and updated the front page yet again!

So, any accusations for the night phase or is Magnum just going to be all badass, declaring the resident medic to revive someone? And on that note, we've also got five hours left...until the end.

Actually, now that you mention it...

I think we should revive Silver. Yes, the bad guy. With his ability to kill people instantly, we could set up a 3-pronged attack on 3 different targets: Lynch one, Vigilante another, and have Silver kidnap another. HIGHER SUCCESS RATE!

There is risk of Silver being all "lol u guys suck, imma votin you out", but this could be easily countered by telling him he'll get lynched again if he doesn't comply...

Just a thought.

True, but...

We already know Silver is the Bad Guy. So IF he does intercourse  up, we could lynch him.

The Werewolf has to off him too if HE wishes to win.

And of course, Silver must also take out the WW to win.

They'll fight eachother (Because Silver AND the WW can't win any other way), we can take out a whole slew of people at once, and it has a high-success rate.

Edit: Besides, You can only lose if you're lynched. If we have you around, we can't lose.

Yes. How did you guess. I'm actually the evil 4th party. -_-
Being serious, why would Silver help us? He has no chance to win. He knows we'll lynch him instantly, so all he'd do is put a note out for me and BAM, I'm gone. Nothing we can do against that. At this point, we need to bring back the person who claims to know the final WW and has the power to prove it. And yes, we can lose. If it comes down to a WW and only me left, we lose because that's the rules.
Think of it this way. We have 8 left. WW kills one, Vigilante kills one, and now Operator kills one. This means we're down to 5. Add on the lynch of Silver because he betrayed us, then 4. It's all guessing at that point between the 4.

Besides, pushing us to bring back a bad guy, forcing another known lynch gives the WW another safe turn. It's obvious that Silver is against Town at this point, so why are you trying so hard to bring him back? Mind sharing what your role is?

Title: Switch Crisis - Another NSF Werewolf [The End] (A hero doesn't fail, right?)
Post by: SkyMyl on February 08, 2011, 08:01:20 PM
"Heroes don't die, unless they're killed!"
(There's also two songs included in there, by the way! But you don't have to listen to them.)
KJ was having some sleep problems that night. J was completely innocent, and turned out to be a paranoid person who had every right to be paranoid, Shuj was acting really off, and Light had told her some things on the way to J's house that essentially made finding the last wolf a 1 in 3 chance of success. She was mulling over some thoughts, sitting on her bed, trying to figure out what she would do. Sitting around, not doing anything was getting villagers killed during the night by some unknown force that clearly wasn't the werewolf. She decided to take this into her own hands. She stood up, walked to her closet, and donned a white robe, adorned with red color towards the ends where the robe ended. She then left the supposed safety of her own home, out into the night sky.

She glanced everywhere whilst outside, attempting to keep a moderate pace to make sure no one was following her, that werewolf in particular. With no weapons or offensive spells to protect herself with, she was defenseless, and only had luck and stealth on her side. She noticed the lynching site, where TK and Kayo were now buried. KJ walked towards the two spots where the two were dug, and she kneeled in between the two.

"I only have enough magic to revive one person...I can't revive both of you, unfortunately. I don't even know who I'm going to revive, actually. TK, or Kayo...this isn't an easy choice. But considering our current situation, Kayo could help us out more than TK probably could..."

KJ took in a deep breath and gave the thought some more time to boil. Was reviving Kayo truly the better option? In her mind, she knew it would be, but couldn't help but feel anger at being unable to revive both of them, avoiding a difficult, potentially situation altering choice altogether. She confirmed that reviving Kayo would be best, and settled on it. She directed her attention to TK's spot, and apologized.

"It's nothing I have against you, TK...but Kayo can help us all get through this better. I hope you understand."

KJ stared at Kayo's burial spot, and realized a crucial detail she hadn't considered when she came out here.

"Dammit! Why didn't I remember to bring a shovel with me!? Ugh...intercourse . This is going to take a while now."

She clawed through the soft patch of earth with her hands, shoving it behind her as she sought to find Kayo's body. KJ wasn't sure how far down his body had been buried, but it would take a long while, regardless of how deep, as she had no tools to aid her in her tries at freeing Kayo's corpse from his grave. Eventually, her hand felt something other than ground. A soft fabric, that could only be identified as a shirt. KJ hurriedly moved the dirt faster, as quick as her muscles would let her.

KJ pulled Kayo's body out of the ground, and placed it on the flat earth above them. The hole she had dug wasn't very deep, but enough to give her arms a work-out. Triumphant, she kneeled down in front of Kayo, whose head was still a gory mess, and outstretched her arms in front of his body.

"Soon...this will all be over."

"Yes, soon, all of it will be finished, KJ..."

KJ sprang up and immediately started turning her attention in every direction, in an effort to find whomever had spoke to her.

"Your voice definitely isn't normal...from the rough, growl in it, I'd have to assume you're the bastard that's been threatening our town?"

"Initially, I had seeked to purge this town with the aid of my comrade, Rayquarian...but all of you took it as a threat, and a danger to our fair town. Afterwards, my aid transgressed into hostility."

"It's only justifiable, isn't it? After all, we've never had this kind of problem before!"

"I think you know fully well that what you just said is a lie, KJ. After all, given your true identity, and what you possess..."

KJ took a deep breath in, and maintained a firm stance. "Show yourself, coward. With abilities such as your own, is there truly a reason to hide?"

The werewolf, in response, howled into the night sky. KJ turned eastward upon hearing this to see the wolf perched on top of a nearby tree. Finishing his howl, he leaped off the tree and landed near KJ, whose bravery stood unparalleled at this moment. Hearing about this beast, and seeing it were two different things altogether.

"No, I suppose...if this reality is as confined as I believe it is, then there's nothing to fear."

The werewolf stood tall, in front of KJ. It was a good two heads taller than her, standing on its hind legs. It began to snarl under its breath, his piercing red eyes never leaving the site that was KJ.

"Farewell, KJ."

The werewolf changed its stance to being on all fours, and howled into the night sky one, final time before making its kill. He snarled, and lunged at KJ, who still did not move, in spite of her own death. The werewolf was ready to bite into his first prey since this whole incident began, and then...

*CLANG!*

...he was stopped. His claw had impacted against hard iron, and the werewolf collided with a new figure that had appeared in front of KJ moments before the werewolf could harm her. The werewolf landed, and slashed at the new figure, who caught the werewolf's paw and held it firmly. KJ, smirking, slyly asked, "What took you so long, Light?"

"Heroes...grr...may be late...but we'll always...get the job DONE!"

With all his effort, he tossed the werewolf to the side, knocking it on its side. Light turned back to KJ and gestured to the still lifeless body of Kayo.

"Maiden, I advise you to tend to our fallen comrade whilst I fend off this beast...for the last time." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyHMq6vosbc)

"You..."

Light redirected his attention to the werewolf, who had regained his previous stance, and was ready to lung at Light.

"Even without a weapon, a hero is always prepared for combat. Come at me, Shujinco!"

The werewolf lunged at Light, who guarded against the strike once again with his gauntlets.

"So...how long have you known?"

"Only just today, when you were paranoid!"

Light continued guarding against the werewolf's strikes and bites, not once counterattacking. Meanwhile, KJ was still reviving Kayo with her White Magic, by usage of Full-Life. The werewolf realized that Light was only biding time for KJ, and broke the fight to resume killing his original target. The werewolf dashed towards KJ, before Light leaped for the beast's tail, dragging it down. Light pulled the beast by his tail, and threw him further away from KJ. He dashed towards the werewolf at full force, with his right arm clenched in a fist.

"So you're going to attack the medic, like a filthy, clever coward? If that's how you want to be, then DIE!"

The werewolf immediately leapt back onto its feet, and charged at Light, who was arching his right arm backwards, preparing for his signature attack yet again.

"This is where it all ends, Shu...farewell!"

"Don't claim victory when the fight isn't even begun yet, fool!"

"MEGATOOOOOON...PUUUUUUUUUNCH!"

Light stopped his momentum, reared back his arm, and punched forward, with timing so precise that one might assume he was a supercomputer rather than a knight. The werewolf continued its charge, and ran right into Light's iron-clad fist just as he was unleashing his punch. Shujinco took every ounce of the attack, resulting in a broken skull. His body fell front onto the ground, sliding past Light completely. Light, breathing heavily, turned around and made sure Shu wasn't still alive by kicking the body onto its front. The body of Shujinco, a werewolf, laid on the ground, eyes closed, completely devoid of life. Light did not bother inspecting the skull of his opponent, and instead left the body as is.

"I'm sorry Shu, but this...is just the way it has to be, unfortunately for you."

Light walked over to KJ, who had just finished reviving Kayo. Any and every wound was completely healed, as he lay on the ground, covered in dirt, still unconscious. KJ was also lying on the ground, unconscious, next to him. Light ran over to KJ's side, and lifted her up from the ground. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdo5067ZjfU)

"Hey...you all right there, KJ?"

"Yeah...reviving someone with your own energy isn't something that can be done without sacrificing some of your own energy. It's very draining to use a spell like that, but we'll both be fine. It's just a shame I can't revive TK..."

"...say, is it at all possible to heal Shu and Ray?"

"If they were alive, maybe...nothing is certain, though, especially since we don't know when or how they became werewolves."

"Let's get you back to your house...the worst of this whole incident has passed now."

KJ muttered something under her breath as Light helped KJ stand up.

"What was that?"

"We're taking Kayo back to MY house, or his?"

Light swore he heard something different, but replied to her question. "Why wouldn't we take him back to his own home? I'm sure he'll have great stories to share about the afterlife."

"...heh, yeah." Once KJ was balanced on her own feet, Light picked Kayo up by the shoulder and left off into the distance, away from the lynching point.

There was definitely going to be a lot of explaining to do, the next day...
The aftermath of our final Night Phase!

Light, the Elvaan Paladin, aka Vigilante, decided to take out Shujinco, the final werewolf, who tried killing KJ, the White Mage, who only had enough magic to revive Kayo...who can do nothing, now that our game has ended!

Let's do a rundown: Light fails at killing baddies Night 1 and Night 2, WW killed NO ONE for Night 1 and Night 2, and when the WW was finally going to have his way, Light had the right person and saved the day. The villagers essentially cockblocked the werewolves and The Operator out of sheer luck, and had more harm done to them because of themselves.

That, my good players, is the end of Switch Crisis, my second werewolf. Thanks for participating, and feel free to reveal what roles you had, and whatnot. You know, discuss the game as a whole.

Now to explain this guy's role.

He was the NEET, just like Kaguya's fan portrayal! Like in Determination, the NEET (Originally known as the Mystic) is a role that, if bestowed to you, means you can't post or vote until lynched/killed. And this was one of those games where the person who had that role was never targeted. Yes, he spent the entire game as a mime.
