Nintendo has announced that on May 20th, all online support for all DS and Wii Pokemon games will end, including D/P/Pt, HG/SS, B/W, B2/W2, Ranch, Battle Revolution, and all spin-off games, even if you play them on a 3DS or Wii U (in case that wasn't obvious).
Of course, you will still be able to use the transporter app to sent 5th gen Pokemon to the Bank, but you won't be able to play online or download anything new to those games.

There's so much I still haven't been able to play online. I never played Mario Kart Wii online, I haven't gotten all the accessories in The Last Story, I need to trade with others to get all the items in Sonic and the Black Knight. There's so much to do! :( ohintercourse me;
Sucks but makes sense.
No it doesn't! This doesn't make any sense at all! Why are they doing this?!

not enough people are using the online service to make it worthwhile for them to pay for

what does this mean what do i have to do online in these games
yawn
Online features were barebones at best and connections were usually terrible. Nintendo Network beats their old service 10:1 so really, who cares? Especially with Mario Kart 8 around the corner.
