Hey NSFCD, the staff has been discussing this for a while, and we have decided to try selling NSFCD merchandise to help raise money for the site. This means that we need slogans and logos for the shirts. There are a few rules to this that you should follow.
1. Keep it clean, or at least decent.
2. No copyrighted materials. It's not our rules, it's Spreadshirt's rules. Sorry.
3. We'd prefer if it didn't say NSF/NSFCD, but if you'd like to, go ahead.
The good ones will be made into T-shirt designs, and will be able to be purchased. This money will go towards funding a dedicated server, which will be used for a multitude of things.
The winners don't really receive any prizes except for seeing their design on a T-shirt. Maybe a rank.
GET TO IT.
Spreadshirt link is http://195040.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Shop/
Is this for money or is this for advertising to the public?
For cash.

The first one, yes.
The second one, not so much.
All I can do is provide slogans and things on the shirt.
"Get Nside, NAO!"
Thats all that comes to mind as of right now.
And another genius marketing idea: Silver action figures! :P
I have a few slogans:
"NSider- Because the Internet is full as it is."
"National Silverhawk Foundation CompacteD: Breaking things since 2007."
"NSF: Not science."
No one here will buy a shirt that says NSF, NSFCD, or a link to the site.
Be more subtle, make a T-Shirt with an inside joke on it.

Alpha version of one my submissions:
Actually I think it's technically NOT copywrite. That image of Weegee is based off the sprite of Luigi from the game, that image was NOT made by Nintendo so they do not own the copyright. Whoever created that image is basically lost in ages and odds are could never be found/proven. At this point, Weegee is public domain. Nintendo may be able to make claims on the fact that the image is based on Luigi, a copyright character, it's difficult to say if Nintendo could win the lawsuit, let alone bother to attempt it.
The way copyright works sometimes, you just need a small change to get around it. For example, if you see a bunch of recipes online, you can take each of those, add in an ingredient that none of them use, and BAM you can legally print off your own cook book without ANY copyright law violations.

First to Lava, I don't think Nintendo is exactly proud of "Weegee" might want to go do some research on Encylopedia Dramatica. My submissions have nothing to do with being a Nintendo Fanboy, it's Weegee. So put a sock in it you dang fanboy.
Next, they may sell pretty well online and at convention things. People who hang out at 4chan and Newgrounds know Weegee, Tails Doll, and some of the other well known Memes online, like Mudkipz. People who hang out online are the people who know of these things. And people who are online a lot are the people who go to these conventions and look for shirts (OMFG) online!
I'd wear it.
I'd wear it.

But of course, they want orders of more than 1,000. And it would probably all be up front. Your best shot is to screen print the shirts yourself. I'll ask around; I know some people that could probably give us some good sites to use (that would only ask for about 200 orders).

Holy f***.
It's awsome.
Yeah! These look just like the shirts Nintendo actually produces! It's too bad we have the copywrite thing :(
If I took out the word Nintendo, I don't think they could get us on anything. Also, would they really go after maybe a maximum of 15 people wearing these?
Also feedback. Critique. I wanna make it better, but like HOW.

What we need is NSF in giant fiery letters on a black shirt.

Nope. :(
And would $17 for one shirt be OMG EXPENSIVE? :(
For the 'The Game' shirt, we'd get $5.10 (hooray) and from the NSFCD: shirt, a measly $2.10. I can make them $15 each, but...10 cents from the NSFCD: shirt? >_>

Yeah, but I need designs, since I can't upload copyrighted content. Text would be good too, because designs jack up the cost by at least $3.

I can change the color, and they take pretty much everything. Okay, all shirts have color selection options now. Keep in mind that the text color will not change, so the shirts with light print need dark colors, and vice versa.

I've have always wondered why I wear shirts that have words, I would rather a simple design.
Why doesn't someone make a design instead of making shirts say something. (Don't ask me I'm not artsy)
I would buy a black shirt with Silver's design in red if it looked more badass than just a diamond

I think the matter at hand is not that he is posting random names willy nilly; it's that he's posting names willy nilly and is expecting more praise than a response with a well thought-out name, accompanied with a flag.

Either way, the matter at hand is an issue. He can't go posting names willy nilly, good or bad, and expect everyone to praise him for doing so. Has has no flag, no reasoning, no logo and no slogan. That combined with his admitting of his stupidity should invalidate anything he has to say.

The bigger our library of items, the bigger the chance that someone will buy something.
So is Silver looking for any sort of design that would sell, regardless of its obvious associatio. With FCD? In that case, I may as well just make all sorts of random designs. What color options do we have?

Yes, and it can't really have copyrighted stuff on there, which kind of limits our choices. As for colors, we have black, white, tan (they call it chocolate), grey, navy, and I think red. Maybe some others too.

Do we have any good designs yet? I imagine creativity works like that Digimon game for the Playstation. You just get a bunch of characters together, and as long as you remember to take your Digimon to the bathroom, you'll have a full-fledged Digi-community after a while. I'm not really sure how keeping your Digimon from eating its own deficated ruins compares to t-shirt production, but I'm sure you all get my point.

I'm a teeneager and I have a paypal and a debit/credit card. :\
So buy a shirt.
If you want Mystic to buy a shirt, you have to put
a child molester Michael Jackson on it.
You're a dumbass, just for future reference.

We didn't pay back SWW7 for donating $500 when NSF first started, now did we? It was a donation, a very generous one at that. Think of your designs as donations. If it means that much to you, I can give you some special rank or whatever.
