Well I was playing a match using link, I get the smash ball and I use it. But as soon as the final smash connects and links about to start smashing, a mushroom rolls into me and the final smash cancels. Did that happen to you before?

Uh, I rarely play as Link.
In terms of canceling, his is one that can potentially miss, so I'm sure that must be why. If it were D3, I doubt that would have happened.
Still, it would kind of suck....but then again, so do items. :P

There are actually a few ways to FS cancel if I remember correctly...
I love infinite final smashes more.
Get Kirby's final smash, and suck up a person holding an AT, and see what happens.

But it would be boring, that always when you use final smashes to put all the other items off.
