I'm really thinking that either Toon Link or Snake will be top tier. I can't say who will be bottom tier, because I've seen everyone's power in the game except Sonic (Yes, I need to battle yeh Nayrman >_> ).

MK and Wolf will likely be top tier, Diddy and Mario mid, Bowser and Ganon low.....just on quick bets.

I doubt it. Although Olimar is indeed epic, what happens when someone can counter Olimar easily? I.E. Snake. Snake can just use his running attack and kill any Pikmin. Once Olimar is out of Pikmin, he's basically screwed.

Yeah, good point. I just though he was dangerous cause I almost always lose (badly) against Olimar. Except for when I fought Jr. Dude--I played as Kirby and spammed his own attack at him, killing several of his pikmin in the process. Of course, I could tell that Olimar isn't exactly his main.

Sonic is somewhat the opposite. He has all the speed in the world, but no good killing moves. They do stick together in the recovery thing, though Sonic's is better. I can go on if needed.

Yes. I know Gdorf's recovery suck. Thats why I stay on the ground most of the time when I'm playing as him.
Sonic's recovery is, indeed, better but it does leave him open for a spiking when timing your spike attack.

He also has pretty poor jumps, so he can have trouble pulling off his already lag heavy (in either landing or start up) aerials. As for the ground, he has the 2nd slowest dashing speed in the game, and he has slow rolling, plus a lot of moves of his have long start up time, and since this isn't street fighter, that can be a bit of an issue.

Lack of "killing" moves isn't too big a deal if you become a good chaser/arial launcher. His forward and back airs can kill at around 100% as long as you knock them off the stage and do a REALLY quick chase. It's how I usually get all my kills as Sonic. Speed tops power because there are always more ways to take advantage of speed than power.
And Playat, (or whomever said Sonic's recovery is an easy target), his recovery isn't an easy target. You can hang out below the stage for an insanely long time before having to use the spring which throws off many people's timing....at least in my experience anyway X_X;;

Those three low tiers you mentioned are a lot better, and Yoshi, I'm expecting, is going to be mid or so, definitely not bottom.

He WAS nerfed massivly, however, I wouldn't say that he was the worst. If anything, Ganon is the worst. He wasn't very good in Meelee, and was somehow nerfed in Brawl. I believe he's less powerful than he was in Meelee, and he sure seems slower than Meelee. I would say Ganon was the worst. C. Falcon isn't much better though. :-\

He is the worst character in Brawl, and I agree seeing as he was nerfed so much.

He WAS nerfed massivly, however, I wouldn't say that he was the worst. If anything, Ganon is the worst. He wasn't very good in Meelee, and was somehow nerfed in Brawl. I believe he's less powerful than he was in Meelee, and he sure seems slower than Meelee. I would say Ganon was the worst. C. Falcon isn't much better though. :-\

Yes, he's a completely different character now, but that doesn't mean he didn't get worse at the same time.
his buffs were outweighed by his nerfs. just about everything they changed about him had a downside to it.

Any character once you know how to use them is the problem. Any character is "good" in the right hands but that doesn't necessarily prove the point trying to be made...
The thing is that all the characters are going to be, without exception, compared to other characters. As a standalone character, Pichu isn't horrendous in terms of plain fighting ability, but when compared to the rest of Melee's cast, he becomes practically useless (especially compared to his clone-ey, Pikachu, whom was much more powerful and was able to retain his above average agility).
Same goes for Yoshi, when compared to other characters, there is hardly a reason to try to be good with him other than personal preferance. If you happen to like Yoshi and want to be good with him, more power to you! I'm happy you're willing to stick with a character than merely go for the "popular winners". However, don't really say that "such and such is better" when there is more than enough reason to prove otherwise...

He can 3 stock any character of mine easy mode. He is AZ's second best player. He took out some of CA's best at a tourney last week using that. As I said, I would be quite willing to bet anything I own.

I still don't really get how Wario is so good. Yea he has some decent combo's and the bike is a really good attack, but he isn't "great" since there are many ways around it...
His D-air is basicaly the best thing ever.

It's a tad difficult to determine because the characters status are a bit more evened out than in Melee. But in the end there will always be over-powered characters.
I've never understood Olimar as a character in Brawl. Supposedly he can be extremely devastating if mastered, but I've never seen how. I want to play/watch a amazing Olimar player just to see what Olimar is capable of.

well...it does depend on which pikmin he has, so a small portion is kinda luck...
