Step 3: Find larger, but similar animals to act as evolutions.

Step 5: PROFIT!

In the spirit of this thread, however, I must say that imagination is all that is required for the appearance of a new Pokémon. After that, fair stat distribution and move list must be added.

Inspiration can be taken from existing animals, mythology/superstition, and machines/inanimate objects.

Constraintor, the steel sponge pokémon.  It can absorb water at a rate of a F3 Hurricane.  It is said that it is impossible to squeeze the water out of it.

Classification: Steel Sponge
HP: 90
Attack: 85
Defense: 125
Sp. Att: 85
Sp. Defense: 70
Speed: 65
