I'd like to train a Banette...

...since they're fairly uncommon and i've never really used one before.

so, anyone know a great moveset/attacking style i could use? I'm planning on using an Adamant nature and focusing on the Attack stat, but Banette doesn't make a good sweeper.

I really want to use one though, so what's the most effective way to keep one of these in a battle? Thanks in advance.  :)

I know it's a bit much, but I think it has just about everything you need to know stat-wise and such.

I'd also suggest a Lonely nature (good Attack, bad Defense) considering its base stats. Since it has pretty good Special Attack, you might not want to take that away from it if you plan on using a Special move. But you said you're focusing on the Attack stat, so I'd just stick with Physical moves then.

I don't know about a good moveset for Banette, but for Physical attacks, I'd suggest:
- Sucker Punch/Faint Attack (This choice just depends on your battling style; a strong risky move or a sure-hitting decent move?)
- Shadow Claw (a Ghost-type Slash; with good attack and "STAB", this is a must)
- Substitute (to keep it in battle)
- Night Shade (very reliable at Level 100)
