Pokemorphs: Infection
Hoenn had been quiet for far too long, it had seemed to most. The silence was almost eerie. Something was amiss, however, in the far reaches of the ocean. Team Aqua and Magma had come across new technology at the same time, in an undersea cavern outside Sootopolis. They stopped outside the doorway to the final room, and began to fight about who was the rightful owner of the interesting technology. Why both of them wanted it was a mystery, but as they opened the door, they got it.
Spread from the seawater and then transferred into the air, a mysterious miasma traveled out into Hoenn. Humans were unaffected by it, but the pokemon were. It seeped into the pokemon's blood stream and got to their minds, making the pokemon easily angered and violent. This was how it would spread to humans. With even the slightest scratch, humans were at risk from contracting pokemon DNA, and forming a human-pokemon hybrid. Scientists deemed this new species 'pokemorphs'.
The process was painful. The spot of infection would start to burn, and the body would follow. The wound would quickly heal, yet the subject would start experiencing intense cold symptoms. Normally, a cold sweat hits and the subject is forced to stop acting and lie down. That?s when the problems begin. The body begins to react and transform to the new DNA introduced to it, and soon it is a human-like pokemon, or a pokemon-like human.
While a cure is being looked into, nothing has been found so far. The virus was locked away to keep it from spreading again, but after being tampered with, Team Aqua and Magma had released the virus onto the world.
And they said, "Perfect."

Welcome to the darker side of the pokemon world. A few weeks ago, a virus was released to the world of Hoenn. The virus attacks pokemon, infecting them. There are no visible signs of infection. The pokemon experience aggression and often attack humans for relief from their hellish virus. Once the virus is passed on by a bite or scratch, the pokemon DNA travels through the wound and into the human.
The process has already been described. The changed subjects are neither human nor pokemon... they are half of both. A hybrid, some might call it.
Humanity is desperately struggling for a cure. However, some humans... don't wish for a cure to be found. They have made it their jobs to capture and train these pokemorphs like pokemon. The species are beginning to separate... and the division is evident. Towns around Hoenn are left vacant and distraught, while the few remaining humans begin to close themselves off from Pokemorphs. Signs have begun appearing on shop windows and around towns, saying "NO POKEMORPHS" or "POKEMORPHS MUST BE LEASHED."
Why the harsh words? Humanity fears what it cannot understand, of course. This virus struck only a few days ago... and there still isn't a cure.
However, the pokemorphs have also improvised in a time of crisis. They quickly retreated from the towns that grew to hate them, and soon came to the forests around Hoenn, beginning to build small villages of pokemorphs alone. They take in recently changed and infected humans, and their numbers steadily grow. Their city remains hidden, however, from the ones known as the "Pokemorph Wranglers."
However, this story does not begin here. A small hospital on the outskirts of lilycove had been quarantined for cases of the pokemorph virus... at the moment, over two hundred cases of the virus were at work. On the coming Friday, they were to all be released. This is where the story begins... on the Thursday before exodus.

Personality: Spike is very smart, and athletic. However, when his friends are threatened, his temper...well, that's your cue to.....just...yeah.
Biography:Alex won many awards for his school and his karate, but when practicing in the tunnel that was near Rustburo City and found a cubone. He greeted, which in return the cubone was frightened and angered. The cubone attacked by biting Alex's arm. He was found by Nurse Joy and returned him to Lilycove City. Unfortunately, Alex was in one of the worst cases, where his transformation is actually 95% complete, leaving only some color differences and the bone club is red and glows green which is similar to his spike pendant. He plans on running away, even though the nurses promise him a full recovery. He hopes he can find people who are also like him.

Biography: He was wandering around Mt. Pyre taking pictures of pokemon but he got lost and couldn't find his way back. So he was wandering around when he came across a cave where he saw a blue glow come out of there. He got curious and went in. He was overjoyed to find a legendary, Lucario, to be exact. Of course, he snapped a picture of the Lucario. However, his glee of obtaining a picture of such a rare pokemon turned to fear when the Lucario ran at him and bit his arm leaving a nice row of teeth marks on his upper arm. Not too long after collapsing to the ground in pain, some explorers found him curled up in pain on the ground. The only thing that he could remember after that was that he woke up in the hospital.

Personality: Very optimistic and loves to joke. He hates losing, has a big ego, and has a temper that he can't always keep in check. If he's not in his usual hyper mood, he can get pretty angry and vengeful. But that's only on a rare occasion when something actually gets to him.
Biography: He was a fisherman in Slateport for a while, until he decided to travel and see the world. He wanted to take pictures of rare and interesting Pokemon. During his travels, looking for a Mew and Mewtwo, he found a Mew. It was infected by the virus and attacked him as he was getting a picture.

Biography: Nick was born and raised in Mauville. His father was a politician and his mother a scientist. Nick was nearly infected with the Pokemorph virus when he was 12, but he was saved by his childhood friend Lily Arriele, who was infected in his stead. After Lily went off to the hospital in Lilycove, Nick's father was infected by a Seviper, but did not survive. His mother went into depression, but soon recovered by trying to find a cure. She constantly worked herself, and eventually died of a stroke. Nick was momentarily depressed, but has since gotten over it. He decided to go to Lilycove himself when he heard of the exodus at the hospital.

Biography: Nothing major has really happened with Karizo, just an average teen who grows up in Fortree. HIs father went missing many years ago, and he hardly got to know him.

Okay, I PM'd you my application. How many characters can you have?
((I suppose I'll start things off...))
"Uh...what happened to me?" Matt woke up finding himself on the bed in the hospital. "Why am I here? I only got a bite from a Lucario..." He stood up and wandered around the room that he was in. Hm...let's see, what do I remember. I found a Lucario, I tried to take his picture, he bit me, and now the next thing I know I find myself in the hospital...Could his bite really have been that bad?
((What the f- when did all of you pop up outta nowhere like the matrix? Oh well, let's get this RP started.))
Jas opens her eyes, but quickly shuts them because of the bright hospital lights. "Gah!" A moment later they dim and start flickering on and off. "Man, what is this poop?" She mumbles, finding that the covers and pillows are now sticking to her. "Grr..." Jas gets impatient with the bedding that won't come off her and flings it across the room, where it lands in a heap on the floor. She sits cross-legged, and looks around. "Now where am I?"
Keisha starts to come out of the sleep she's been in. 'Hmmgh, why's it so cold?' She starts shivering even though the temperature in the room is normal. "Cold, cold, cold, cold," her shivering gets more intense when suddenly, flames shoot up from her body, leaving everything she was touching charred. She sits up slowly, heat still coming from her. "A hospital...?"
Matt found a mirror and toke a look at how bad the bite was on his arm. He lifted up his sleeve and saw that it was almost gone. "Odd...that was qui-" He stopped mid-sentence to see that his hair was completely blue. "Gah! What happened to my perfectly black hair!" He said running his hands through his hair in a panic. "W-what's going on?"
Kyle slowly opened his eyes, not knowing what to think. Ergh... my head... maybe I went a little overboard last night... As he sat up, he looked around where he was. It seemed as if he was in a white room, and there was a small desk next to his bed. He looked down at his hands, knowing that there was something wrong.
When he realized that they were yellow and smaller than usual, he came to one conclusion. I really went overboard last night. He leaned back in his bed, closed his eyes, and tried to forget it all.
Jas looks around, and decides to turn on the TV. She only touches the remote, but the TV comes on anyways. "Ghosts maybe...?" Jas looks from side to side nervously. 'I know I didn't do it... Did I?' After trying to calm herself down, she smirks and holds her hand out to the door. 'Let's close this then... Come on...' Lightning forms in her hand, and extends to the door handle. Jas pushes her hand a bit, and it closes. "... No freakin' way! I'm like 'Static Shock' up in this mutha!" Jas jumps up and starts playing around with her new ability while singing the theme song of the said show. "Super Heerroo Static Shock!"
Keisha looks around at the burned fabric around her. "Hm?" She picks up a piece of leftover fabric, but it burns to bits with her touch. "Well, darn... and what is that noise!?" For some reason she can hear the different hospital sounds, and smell various cleansers and foods. She can feel her ears fold back when someone flatlined. 'Wait, how are my ears moving?!' Keisha reaches for the top of her head, and feels two furry appendages there. "I swear someone put drugs in my drink..." She turns to the mirror, and sees that her dog-like features are still there. "Wow... I really did have to run away..."

As much as Kyle tried to fall asleep, it wouldn't work. He looked around, and finally found a small hand mirror. He looked at his reflection, and sighed as he saw an electric mouse. He had become a Pikachu. "Damn, what have I gotten myself into...?" He muttered, setting the mirror down. He pinched himself, making sure it wasn't a dream. It wasn't. Now what do I do?

Matt had to sit down as he kept running his hand through his blue hair. Boy...my parents are going to kill me once they found out that my hair has been died...Or...at least...I think my hair has been died. "Alright...I'm just going to close my eyes and everything will be okay." He closed his eyes but he didn't stop seeing. Now everything he saw had a very faint blue glow. How can I see? My eyes are closed! He turned his head toward the mirror and saw his own reflection outlined with a bright blue glow. He then noticed that he seemed to have a huge flame of the blue glow emitting out of him in all directions. He then openned his eyes and everything he saw was normal again. "I think I need to have a look around and find out what's happening here." With that, he left his room and went down the hallway hoping someone would have an explaination.
Kyle got out of his bed, and realized that he still had his clothes on. Even weirder, they now fit his new body. This is weird... He walked out of his room when he saw a Lucario walking. Maybe he can help me... "Hey," he called out, walking up to the Lucario.
Matt turned around and saw the human-like Pikachu walking up to him. He was dumbfounded by this. He then realized that his tail had knocked over something on the table nearby. Wait...Tail? When did all this happen? "Oh, um...Hi." He said trying to get the shocked look he had into a smile of some sort.
Kyle sighed, realizing he was unsuccessful. "So, I take it that you've just turned into a Pokemon as well?"
"Wait...so that's what's happening..." Matt said to himself thinking for a moment. "Well that does explain a lot for me." I can't believe that Lucario did that to me. "Wait...I've heard of this thing before. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with Magma and Aqua...But I can't remember what it was called."
"I might be able to find a cure for this, though," Kyle stated, staring down at his bright yellow hands. "I am a doctor, after all. But it will take awhile. Where did you grow up?"
"Lilycove...Speaking of places, where is this hospital exactly?" Matt said rubbing the back of his head nervously. Wow...I sure am naive about what's happening right now.
Jas stops playing around when she notices how she looks in the mirror. "Whoooa, whoa, whoa," she looks straight into her own eyes. "How'd my eyes get all crazy?" Then she looks at her ears which have become pointed. "Okay, I'm dreamin'," she shakes her head. 'There ain't no way in hell I can shoot electricity and look like this. I was just at Seven Banners... Maybe my stupid self fell asleep in the car... I gotta stop gettin' hyper like this. -_-;' She leaves her room to explore since this is her 'dream'.
Keisha sighs and watches her ears twitch in the mirror before finally listening to the dangerous growling coming from her stomach. She leaves her room, and sniffs around a bit. "Ooh!" Her tail starts wagging, brushing against the back of her leg, once she catches the scent of food. "What the?" She looks back. "Now I have a tail too... I was wonderin' why my ass was hurtin'..."
"I... don't really know," Kyle replied honestly. "Maybe we should find someone who works here. By the way, I'm Kyle. What's your name?"
"Well...my real name's Mephistopheles but my friends and I call myself Matt." Do you know anybody else who has this...special condition yet?"
"No, but due to the size of this hospital, I'm sure there are other victims," Kyle said. "Do you?"
"...No." Matt said looking around. "Y'know...I'm sort of hungry now."
"So now you've got your mind on your stomach instead of our actual problems?" Kyle questioned, smiling a bit. "We should try to find the manager here..."
"Hey, I'm young. Those are the priorities that are important to me." He said a bit in a joking manner.
"Heh, I remember when I was like that," Kyle said, smirking. "Back when you hardly have any responsibilities, and you can go about carefree in the world..."
Matt started walking down the hallway. "So...you say you are a doctor." He said trying to start a conversation. "Surely you heard about that one thing that Magma and Aqua found...some sort of virus I think."
"I had heard of it," Kyle said, walking alongside Matt. "But I had quite a few operations on my hand at the time, so I disregarded it as a myth... momentarily. But now this has happened, so I can't say it isn't real."
"Yeah...I wasn't paying much attention either...but that's just because I'm a teenager." He said giving a laugh. "I can't believe that Lucario got infected. I thought I was so lucky to find one...maybe I'm not since he attacked me."
"Heh," Kyle smirked. "I'm not sure what happened to me. I was just walking along, and the next thing I know, I'm waking up in this hospital."
"Well...judging by your looks, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that you were attacked by a Pikachu." Matt said. "Of course, that all we know...I suppose. Hey, I was also wondering, Lucario bit me on the arm. Where'd the Pikachu get you?"
Keisha walks around arms folded. Instead of reading the signs that are in front of her, she lets her sense of smell take her to the cafeteria.
Jas scratches at her neck where she was bitten, but brushes it off as nothing. She continues wandering around, tossing a lightning ball up and down.
Matt saw Keisha and noticed that not only was she affected by this virus, but also that she looked like she knew where she was going. So he gave a shrug and started to follow Keisha.
Kyle looked at his body, but not a trace of a scar was found. "I... don't know," he finally said. He then began to follow Matt and Keisha.
Keisha continues walking, pretending not to know that Matt and Kyle are there. After a few minutes she stops and looks back. "Do I know you two?"
Something crashes, causing Jas to stop in her tracks. She looks back to see many sharp, metal objects flying towards her. "Aw hell no!" Jas begins sprinting down the hall, the objects ten feet behind her. She runs right past the other three.
Kyle was about to reply when he saw Jas run by. "Did you see that?"
"Uh, erm...ah..." Matt couldn't think of something to say. I should have seen this comming... Just then, Jas ran past them and seeing his opportunity to change the subject, which Kyle had done, he went along with it. "I wonder why she was runni-" And then the several sharp objects whizzed past him and continued following Jas. "...Oh."
Kyle began to run after Jas and the flying metal objects, curious about what would happen next.

"Yes, I did," Keisha says, ears twitching. "I saw the wild chick with a bunch of metal things after her," she runs after Jas... and the inanimate objects.
Jas meanwhile continues sprinting down the hallways, trying to find an opportunity to call the metal objects off with her power. "BADDREAMBADDREAMBADDREAM!!!"

Kyle noticed Keisha following. "Hey, you're a fire type. Try melting the metal objects."
Lily emerged from her room in the hospital and looked around. She felt suddenly hungry and set off to the cafeteria. However, she had not gone far when a girl ran by with metal objects following, along with two others. She looked quizzically as they passed and set off at a walking pace after them.
Keisha remembers the things in her room she accidentally destroyed. "I'm not promising any good out of this, but..." She throws her hand forward, and a swirl of flames blow through the metal. It melts and becomes disfigured, but unfortunately, they're now twisted heaps of hot metal that are zooming around the hospital.
Jas looks back and sees the change. "Damn! How'd that happen!?" She skids to a halt as she comes to a dead end. "No... no... NO!" She pushes her hands forward, and a wall of electricity comes up. The metal hits it, and falls to the ground with a clatter because of the loss of magnetivity.
Alex was in his room drawing. He liked to draw, but today, he could not focus. Getting up, Alex opened the door just in time to see a girl run by.
"Wow..." Kyle said in awe. "That certainly was a lucky break."
Alex just stared at what Jas did. Upon hering kyle speak, Alex turned around to get a look at him.

Lily caught with them as the metal fell.
"Whoa," she breathed when she looked at the twisted metal.

Spike was sleeping his bunk bed when he heard screams, followed by what seemed fire spreading and electric short circuits.
If it's the twins watching Japan Monster movies, I'm going to shut the whole d** power supply in this god forsaken hospital...
Spike got up and checked himself in the mirror.
"Aw man, the infection got worse!" Yesterday and the day before that, Spike just had an orange body of a cubone and legs, while the arms, upper torso, and head remained. Now, he had a maroonish skull with blue eyes, green cracks and was startled by a red bone club that was glowing green in his right hand. He dropped it, only to find that it appeared in his hand once more. The only human likeness he could see was that at the back, just a little bit of yellow/blonde hair could be seen, like the skull was covering the hair filled head, and the fact that he still had his human hands and his clothes on. His white tee and camo pants, along with a black jacket was sure to attract attention, especially on a cubone.
"I wonder if more victims came in." Spike walked out of his room and saw a group of people ranging from 13-24 years of age. They all had some pokemon charasteristics, and meaning they were all victims.
"Might as well greet them." Spike stopped himself, for he was an almost complete pokemorph, not half and half.
"What will they think of me?" Spike noticed that one of them was looking in his dirrection and he/she might catch him in their line of sight.
((I assume you mean the little group clustered around Jas and what's-her-face))
Lily, who had lost interest and was about to walk away, turned around and saw what appeared to be an oddly colored Cubone in clothes. However, she knew better and realized that it was only one of the infected.
"Um... Hi," she said awkwardly.
S***! Well, I have to go to them now...
"Hello." Spike replied...uneasily.
Lily noticed his uneasiness.
"Er... Something wrong?" she asked uncertainly.
He's almost completely turned into a Cubone. Soon, he might not even have any more human characteristics, she thought sadly.
"No uh! Nothing's wrong!" Spike stumbled.
God, she's a girl, and there's nothing wrong about talking to a girl, just because you look like a freak, doesn't mean you don't have to panic.
"Sorry, I just got out of bed, "Spike said, trying to find an excuse." but hey, I'm Spike." Spike held out his human hand to shake.
"I'm Lily," she replied, shaking his hand.
"Lily, that's a nice name you got." From the looks of it, it seems that Lily had taken the form of an ice pokemon.
"I guess you noticed how I stand out from you guys."
"Not really," smiled Lily. "Eventually, we'll all lose our human forms, as soon as the disease progresses."
"Actually, the virus affects everyone differently so not every one will turn in to a complete pokemon." Alex said. "Only a few will become pokemon. At least thats what the doctor told me."
"Well, that's cheerful," said Lily sarcastically.
"I'm sorry." Alex said. "I was just trying to help..."
"I'm sorry," said Lily softly. "I didn't meant to be mean."
At least not too mean, she thought.
"Oh boy, that just makes me feel so much better that I'm not alone, well, I bet life as a pokemon can't be bad." Spike sarcastically said with a cruelty tone. Spike kicked the wall in frusteration.
Alex looked at Spike and then at lily and finally at his notebook. "I wish I could tell them that there will be a way to reverse this."
"There's no point in sulking about it," said Lily. "There's still a chance someone can find a cure."
"Well, from the looks of things, I will already be a pokemon by then, so it doesn't matter anymore. Well, I guess I have to learn the brightside of being a pokemon now."
"If the doctors can't find a cure," Alex said to himself, "I know who will."
"Well, think about it. As a Cubone, you'll gain new abilities and strengths," said Lily, trying to figure out possible good things to becoming a Pokemon. She heard Alex talking. "Who?" she asked.
"Huh?" Alex asked, not realizing he spoke.
"You said you knew who could find a cure," urged Lily.
"Um, well..." Alex decided whether or not to tell them what he thought. (g2g)
"Yes?" she urged, her temper starting to get the better of her. "Just spit it out!"
"Easy Lily."
Lily forced herself to calm down. "Sorry," she said. "Just, please tell us."
Matt had lost the others when they had ran after Jas. "Well...Where could they have gone?" I wonder... He closed his eyes again and saw the deep blue glow emitting from everything but it was not only he who was emitting a larger amount of the blue glow but other living things were too. Although, I do have to say that it seems that I have much more of this...stuff than anybody else here. With that thought. He walked toward a group using only his powers that sensed this blue glow. Wait...are they talking about some sort of cure for something?
"I think it might be team aqua or team magma. Seeing as they do what they please, they are sure to find a cure at a quicker pace." Alex said.
"Well why would they want a cure? They love this new disease, they treat it as a miracle, and hopefully, if my predictions are correct, they'll use it to morph into their most favored pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre." Spike pointed out.
"They could use the cure to manipulate those that are infected." Alex said. "After all, what would you do for the cure?"
"Man, I don't know, I don't know if I want a cure anymore, I beginning to like this. For some reason, I feel stronger and smarter than before, and know I meet people who are like me, nobody wanted to be my friend, thinking I was way to smart, or way to atheletic."
Kyle began to walk after Matt, knowing that he knew where to go.
Keisha looks back to see that the others following her are gone. "Hmm, oh well," she looks back at Jas. "Who are you anyways?"
Jas kicks at the metal on the floor, realizing that if she was dreaming, she would've woke up already. "Name's Jasmine, or just Jas. What about you?"
"Me? I'm Keisha, Kei, just not something girly like KeiKei or Kiwi," Keisha starts looking for the others, with Jas walking with her.
Matt still had his eyes closed and continued listening in on the conversation until he sensed Kyle comming in which he turned around and decided to give him a greeting. "Oh, hey Kyle. You know...I was just wondering when they'd let us out of here."
"I have the feeling we won't be getting out anytime soon..." Kyle replied.
"Gah...I was hoping you wouldn't say something like that." Matt said looking away despondantly. "I still wish I knew where this hospital was though."
"Heh, this place is foreign to me, yet so familiar..." Kyle said, observing his surroundings. "Guess it must be because I'm a doctor, and I'm used to being in these kinds of places."
"Yeah, I suppose you're right." Matt said with his stomach grumbling. "Oh yeah. I almost forgot. We never actually found out where the cafeteria was..."
"I take it you guys aren't hungry anymore?" Keisha asks from down the hallway. "We're still going to get something to eat if you're going to... follow..."
"Oh no. I'm still hungry." Matt said walking toward Keisha. "So you know where the food is?"
"Yep, I do," Keisha starts heading for a set of stairs.
"I'm guessing you know because of that doggy-nose of yours?" Jas asks, grinning to show that she's kidding.
"Dam right," Keisha starts to go down the stairs.
Matt caught up to the two and looked at their new pokemon features but asked the obvious question anyways. "So...what pokemon got you two?"
"Last thing I remember," Jas thinks for a moment. "I turned around and saw a Jolteon," she says. "That's what got me I think..."
"I was attacked by an Arcanine," Keisha says, leaving it at that.
((Might vanish. I'm kinda tired.))
"Ah, I was bit by a Lucario while trying to snap a picture of it." He said continuing down the hallway. "I wish I could go back and grab my camera to see how the picture came out...before he attacked me."
"I'm pretty sure I was attacked by a Pikachu, for obvious reasons," Kyle said, who had been beside Matt. "I didn't see it, but my features show that it was most likely a Pikachu."
Matt gave a slight startled jump but nothing too noticable. "Yeah...I don't think there's any other pokemon that looks similar to your new features." although it still seems odd that he didn't see the pikachu at all...
"It's odd how you guys all saw which Pokemon bit you, while I'm not sure if the causes were even from a bite," Kyle said, thinking about the situation.
"Well it certainly wouldn't be good if this virus became airborne." Matt said. "Maybe you just haven't found the bite mark yet. I know I have mine on my upper ar-" He said this as he rolled up his sleve only to find that the bite marks were basically gone. "Huh?...I was only bitten yesterday. They shouldn't be healing this fast."
"If the marks disappear after a day, then there's no hope in finding how I changed into this," Kyle said, observing Matt's gone scar. "You might have quick healing periods, but that's farfetched. I've never seen a wound heal this quickly."
"Ah, I suppose that'll be a mystery we won't be solving any time soon...or at all." Matt said with a shrug. "Oh well. I guess something like knowing that won't help us in any way."
"Maybe it could," Kyle said, digging deeper into the situation. "Think about it. This is a hospital. With the right amount of equipment and funding, we could go into the blood stream of one of the infected and try to figure out what the virus is that caused this change. Thereby being able to have a hint of developing an antidote."
Alex, upon hearing what kyle said, responded, "Who are you going to get to do that? And if you do fing some one willing, you don't have mch time to do it."
"Being a doctor, I believe that I know how much time somone has before an entire genocide commences," Kyle replied angrily to Alex. "I know that there isn't much time left, but if we just stand by and let things take their course, what will happen to us?"
"I meant that you have until tomorrow before we all have to leave." Alex said. "And I don't know how the normal people will react. I have heard some preety nasty stories."
"Why weren't we informed that we have to leave?" Kyle asked. "Who told you?"
"I...um...oh..." Alex stammered. He held his notebook in front of his face as if to protect himself.
"Wait a minute." Matt said thinking for a moment. "Are the doctors...scared of even coming here? 'Cause I've hardly seen anybody here in the first place."
"..." Kyle stared impatiently at Alex. "Forget it. It's obvious that you aren't very willing to come clean." Kyle then looked at Matt. "Come to think of it, neither have I... maybe they're afraid of us, or being infected? As far as I know, I'm the only doctor in this facility." He gazed at the others. "If we only have one day before we leave for who knows where, we'll have to act fast. Would anyone want to volunteer to help further the research of this virus?"
"I'll volunteer!" said Lily, who had been standing there silently. "And what's this about leaving in one day?"
"I-I'll help." Alex said, "I just want to be normal again."
"Normal?" scoffed Lily. "What is normal in this world?"
Kyle smiled, happy that he had found two people who were supporting him. "I'll need to record both of your names once we get into a researching room. We'll need to use the equipment there to run a basic body analysis test." He turned to Alex, hoping for an answer to Lily's first question.
"So...what will happen if we don't find a cure and we're taken out of this hospital and sent out to the rest of Hoenn." Matt said hoping for an answer. I don't want to go out there not knowing what will happen.
"Let's hope we won't have to find out," Kyle said, searching for a research room on a nearby directory.
Alex frowned as he looked at a clock on the wall. It was already three 'o clock and Alex knew that, unless they worked through the night, they were not likely to make much progress.
"So remind me again what we have to do to find out about this disease?" Matt asked Kyle as he too shearched for a room although he had no idea what he was supposed to look for in the room.
((Um... Just a side note, but you do know that Lucario isn't a legendary, right Pokemaster?))
Kyle found the room he needed, and began to walk in its direction. "First we'll need to do a diagnostics check on the two. Since one is male and the other is female, we'll have both bases covered in case there is a difference on what might cure the virus due to gender. After that, I'll take a blood exam on the two to determine if the virus is in the blood, which I'm hoping it isn't.
"If it's not, then I'll do a complete body check on the two. Hopefully by then I'll be able to locate the virus. Then I'll have the rest of the night to find an antidote. It won't be easy, and I'll need everyone's complete cooperation."
Jake pulled himself into the hospital, his teeth gritted in pain. He winced with each step, though he couldn't see how the Mew's bite could have been that bad. I always thought they were such harmless, shy Pokemon... he thought to himself, dragging himself through the doors. His camera was wrapped around his neck proudly, the bite on his leg was a small price to pay for the perfect shot of the Mew. Or so he thought.
Matt followed Kyle only for a second when he felt as if another presence had entered the hospital but it was far away, possibly on the other side of the building. So he closed his eyes and tried to find the new person by sensing his blue glow which he found and he quickly ran away from the others to find him.
((Damn, what's going on? I just woke up...))
Keisha and Jas have been following along, but staying quiet up to this point.
"Hey, where are you going?!" asked Lily as Matt dashed away. She started running after him.
Matt was too focussed on trying to use this new sense he had gained from the bite to answer Lily's question. C'mon, I'm almost to him...or her.
Jake could feel the emotions of others slowly coming toward him. It was a weird sensation, and he wasn't sure how he knew there were people near. He could almost feel their presence through their emotions and thoughts. Weird... Must be the meds I took for the pain in my leg, he thought, shrugging it off. Not sure if his instincts were correct, he limped toward the sources of the feelings he was getting. Soon up ahead, he saw a shape running toward him.
"Oy!" Jake called out to them, almost scaring himself for knowing someone had been up ahead. "Is there a doctor in this place? I'm having some serious hallucinations here... And a stabbing pain in my leg!"
((Kyle is going to investigate the virus by checking Alex and Lily.))
Kyle found the room and entered it, clearing away space. There was a desk in the corner of the room, and a bed-like structure in the middle. It would be there that he would examine the patients. Other necessary instruments were scattered throughout the room.
Before Matt turned the last corner, he heard the voice. Stange...he could see me? Was he bit by the same Lucario or something. With that, he stopped running and turned the corner to approach the new guy. "I hate to break it to ya, but whatever you're feeling is not some sort of hallucination." This must be pretty weird comming from a half-Lucario human. "And...I guess there is a doctor here...sorta."
Alex sat on the bed-like object while waiting for jake to get ready.
Jake nodded slightly, in a daze. "That Mew I was attacked by... It had that virus, didn't it? That new thing going around that doesn't have a cure? And... And you got it too, don't you?" Jake voiced, not exactly questioning, but more stating in question form. A sad price to pay for only one half decent photo... Then again, this could have its perks. I have the ability to read emotions now it seems, and that could come in handy with girls. Jake smiled slightly at the thought, and looked back at the other guy. "What's your name, and what'd you get attacked by?"
Well he sure caught on pretty fast. "Oh, Um...My real name is Mephistopheles but I use Matt. I was bit by a Lucario...But I did manage to get a picture of it...however, I still need to find the camera that I must have left at the mountai-" He then caught glimps of the camera that looked like his. "Hey! That's my camera!"
Lily caught up to Matt, panting slightly. "What... happened?" she asked.
"Oh, this is...um...Hey, new guy. What's your name...and while we're asking, what bit you?"
"I'm Jake," Jake replied, giving a wink to Lily. "And I was bit by a Mew. I got a picture of it on this here camera, that is mine. I have a few shots of some other legendary's, but I didn't get that far until I got bit..."
Keisha is in her own world, in a daze, not noticing that Jas had left to see what everyone else is up to.
Jas wanders in the direction of the other Pokemorphs she doesn't know.
"Oh...your camera." He said despondantly hoping that it was his camera and Jake had just found it. "And if you're still interested in pictures, I saw Lucario at Mount Pyre just the other day."
"Mmm, Lucario. A favorite of mine, sadly I don't have a picture of that Pokemon. I got an Arcuno, Zapdos, Lugia, Kyogre, and was just working on Mewtwo and Mew when I was bit... That's what you get after a couple years of traveling. So, you're a photographer as well?" Jake was interested in meeting other photographers, after being on the road "alone" for quite some time.
"Yeah...But my parents only let me do photographs at places nearby Lilycove. So I only really get to go to Mount Pyre." Matt said. "So I mostly got pictures of ghost pokemon...and Lucario, of course." He said proudly. "But...I think I've lost my camera somewhere on Mount Pyre. Right now, that'll be first priority for me when I leave this hospital."
Jake nodded, excited at his first chance to talk to a photographer like himself. "Losing your camera sucks, man," Jake simpathized. "Lucky you don't need it in a place like this. I bet the only Pokemon here are... Well, us." Jake chuckled to himself at the irony. Here he was taking pictures of Pokemon, when now he should be taking pictures of himself. But then he shuddered at the thought, and his eyes flashed with the dangers this virus would come with. "So, you said there was a doctor to try to treat this?" Jake asked, changing the subject.
Kyle, who was busy setting up most of the instruments, noticed the sudden loss of people. "Hey, do you know where everyone went?" He asked Alex.
"Yes," said Lily, entering the conversation. "He's infected, like us, but he wants to find the cure before they make us leave tomorrow."
As she said that, she remembered where she was supposed to be.
"OH, CRAP!" she yelled, and ran off.
I forgot I was supposed to be a test subject, and he needs all the time he can get.
"Oh yeah, he needed Lily for something but I don't know about myself." Matt said almost unsure of himself. "...But I'm sure he should be fine without us two." He said turning back to Jake and giving a smile.
Jake returned the smile and gave a nod. "Hope not too many people have been affected, though..." Jake whispered, almost to himself. "What abilities did you get, being bitten by a Lucario and all?"
Kyle had just finished straightening things out, and all the medical instruments were layed out upon the desk. He also had a few machines that told basics such as pulse, heart rate, and blood pressure. "Now all we have to do is wait for the other one to get back..."
"Well then," Jas blinks a bit as Lily runs by. She looks at Matt and Jake, and goes towards them.
Keisha looks up, still leaning against a wall where Kyle is. "You seriously think you'll get anything done here?"
"Well...I now have the tail of a Lucario and my hair's turned blue...Oh, and I can sense this strange blue glow that seems to come out of just about everything." ...The more I think of this stuff...the more I feel it build up in me. I think I remember what it's called for some reason but I can't quite say yet.
Kyle walked over to Keisha. "I have to try. Since we'll be moving sometime tomorrow, I have approximately eighteen hours to find a cure. This is going to be a race against time."
Lily burst through the door of the testing room... place... thing.
"Sorry!" she said.
Jake turned to look at the person walking towards them. "Is it just me or are there a lot of hot girls infected with this virus?" Jake asked, seeing the second girl in a minute walking up to them. I wish I knew what changed about me... I guess it'll take time to figure out my new abilites, and looks. I just hope nothing shrunk...
Kyle turned over to Lily. "Good that you're here. Now is the time for introductions. I'm Kyle Starla. As your "doctor" for right now, I need to record your names."
"Sure, 'doc,'" said Lily with a rather sarcastic emphasis on the "doc" part. "I'm Lily Arriele."
"I probably wouldn't be a good... test subject..." Keisha pauses for a moment. "But can't I help somehow?"
Jas flicks a couple sparks of electricity at the two who seem to be ignoring her partially because she's bored out of her mind, but it's not enough to hurt. "Hi."
Matt was confused by Jake's comment about girls but then noticed Jas's little sparks. Oh...that's who he was talking about. "Oh hi...you were that one running down the hallway earlier, right?"
"You saw that?" Jas scratches the back of her head. "Heh, yeah, that was me," she says, making electricity circle around her hand.
Kyle wrote down Lily's name on a piece of paper. "Thanks, Lily." He then turned to Keisha. "You could help, of course. In the later stages of finding the cure, I'll need help with performing operations, if necessary. That would be where you'd come in."
"Hey," Jake greeted. He held out a hand and added, "Jake's the name. We're all dying to hear your's."
Kyle picked up a needle from his row of instruments. "Now Lily, I will take a bit of your blood. It will hurt a little, but it will be over soon enough. Can I see your arm?"
"Oh, okay," Keisha nods and goes quiet again.
"Me," the Jolteon morph takes Jake's hand. "Name's Jas."
"Of course," said Lily, showing the doctor her arm.
Kyle slowly inserted the tip of the needle into Lily's arm, and drew a bit of her blood. He quickly took the needle out, and bandaged the area of her arm he took the blood from. He began to analyze it on a computer.
Oh right, I saw Jas in the hallway not too long ago...Darn my short-term memory span. Matt felt a bit embarassed but didn't show any signs of it.
Lily winced slightly as the needle punctured her arm, but it passed. She walked over to join Kyle at the computer.
Jake had expected a shock, and was relieved when he didn't feel one. "I'm guessing you're an electric type," Jake commented. "I know this because I'm psychic... Literally."
"Blood Type AB," Kyle stated, reading the wall of text the computer had delivered in an instant. "There doesn't seem to be anything wrong in your bloodstream, which is both good and bad. Moreso good. I'll now have to take your blood," he said, turning to Alex.
"But if there's nothing in my bloodstream, then what causes the infection?" asked Lily, confused.
"Most likely, the virus first entered through the bloodstream, and went into another part of your body," Kyle said, putting the sample of blood away. "It would then implant itself there, trying to take control. There's a ninety-five percent chance of that being the case. The other five percent would go towards the virus completely changing the bloodstream.
"However, there's such a low chance of that happening, since you've only just received the virus. Although, one of the infected did recover from the wound he contracted the virus from in only a day. It's not completely impossible. Still, we must focus on the larger chance."
Keisha watches what's happening, and takes in the information.
"Or you could've seen the electricity I sent at you guys," Jas says, smiling a little. "But yeah, you are right. I'm an electric type."
"So, we assume its the one with larger chance. But what does the virus do if it takes control?" she asked out of curiousity.
"Yeah...I sorta figured that when I saw the electricity." Matt said. "I forget...Have I introduced myself?"
"Might as well do it again," Jake suggested. "Instill your name in her brain, man. That's how you get recognized. I'm Jake, by the way," Jake said again to Jas.
"It does what it's currently doing," Kyle said, motioning towards her. "Changes the host's body slowly into that of a Pokemon. Or at least, that's what we're currently led to believe. By the way, does anyone know his name?" He pointed at Alex, who seemed to be a vegetable.
"No," Jas says to Matt. "You never told me who you are... you wandered off without saying anything to me..." She looks back at Jake. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna forget."
Lily shrugged. "Dunno."
((A... vegetable. <_<))
"Um...okay. I'm Mephistopheles...but everyone calls me Matt." He said with a strong feeling of deja vu. I feel like I've already done this with her...oh well. "And just to avoid the question later, I was bit by Lucario."
((As in, he hasn't been moving, he hasn't been talking; he's been acting like a vegetable.))
"Hmm..." Kyle thought as he drew Alex's blood, and had the computer analyze it. "Blood Type A positive. Nothing wrong in the bloodstream here, either." Kyle sat down in a chair. "We'll have to do a complete body scan on both of you to determine where the problem is."
"I don't know him either," Keisha says, poking at Alex after his blood was drawn.
"Huu," Jas thinks a bit. "Nice meeting you two."
((Oh. That makes... much more sense.))
"Okay," said Lily. "So what exactly does that entail?"
"And the same goes with you." Matt said with a smile. "So...What are you doing first when you get out of here? I'm going to go to Mount Pyre to retreive my camera."
"Pleasure's mine," Jake replied with a wave of his hand. Next second a door nearby them swung open and closed shut. Jake jumped, but stayed levitating in the air. Hm... This could pose a problem if I don't land anytime soon... "Ahem, could someone get me down, maybe?" he asked, not adding that he was afraid of heights.
"Woah...it's as if you've fallen but missed the ground..." ((Cookies to those who can figure out the book reference)) Matt said looking with a surprised look at Jake, floating in the air. "Um..." He grabbed Jake's hand and tried to pull him down but he stayed firmly in place. "Well...this is odd."
"It's simple," Kyle said, walking over to Lily. "This machine," he pointed to a large, white thing above the bed, "will roll just above your body, and will examine your entire body system to determine anything wrong with your body. AKA, the virus."
Jas started to answer Matt's question, but is cut off by Jake being stuck in the air. "Well... Try concentrating on coming back down..."
"Oh, I see," she said. "So I just lie down on the bed."
So she did that and waited.
I want ground. I love ground. Ground, ground ground, grou- Jake kept on thinking until he fell to the ground with a crash. He jumped back up almost immediately. "Whew, it worked!" he exclaimed, relieved. "I'm not doing that again any time soon... Right, so go back to your conversation."
"...Oh, right. Well, as I said. I'm going to go back to Mount Pyre to get my camera back. What will you guys do?" Matt said.
Jas holds back a laugh. "An-y-ways, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'll probably end up trying to help reverse this."
Kyle pressed a button, and the machine began to move across the bed over both of them. "Don't worry, and don't move. This'll only last a minute."
Jake thought intently about what he'd do. "Eh, I'll probably go back to taking snapshots of legendary Pokemon. Just this time I'll try to communicate with them using my Pokemon-ish parts!" Jake decided. "I just gotta learn how to control them..."
"Well, you could come with me and if you're lucky, Lucario will still be there so you can take a pic of him!" Matt said with a smile. "And I get the feeling he won't attack any of us since we're already infected..."
Alex held his breath as the machine passed over him.
The machine stopped moving after awhile, and transmitted information into the computer. "This part will take a few minutes, so relax. I want to take your blood pressure and pulse."
"Awesome!" Jake exclaimed, imagining the pictures he could take. "It'd be a great addition to my collection. Consider it a deal." Jake held out his hand to shake Matt's.
"I'll go first." Alex said, not wanting to wait.
"Alright then." He said holding up his hand about to shake it but he stopped when he saw some sort of blue glow comming out of it. Huh? I thought I could only sense this stuff when my eyes were closed...But I do get the feeling as if I'm just overflowing with this...stuff.
Kyle placed a small bag like device over Alex's arm. He then pushed a button. "Remember, relax." The bag tightened around Alex's arm, and then expanded. Kyle then took it off and read numbers on a device. "One hundred-nine over sixty-four. Nothing too abnormal here..." He put his fingers on Alex's and Lily's wrist. "Pulse is normal, too."
He then took Lily's blood pressure. "One O Six over sixty. Fine. No, better than fine." He then sat down in the chair again, waiting for the results of the body scan to be finished.
Alex rubbed his arm where he took his blood pressure.
"Hey, can I move now?" asked Lily.
"You alright, man?" Jake asked. "Don't worry, I wash my hands regulary." But Jake could get a feeling that it was a problem concerning Matt's new abilities, though Jake wasn't entirely sure how he knew.
"Sure," Kyle said, smiling. The computer then made a beep, confirming that the information had been sent. Kyle clicked "OK" from a box that popped up, and the information came into full view. Kyle nearly went into a state of shock. "This... this can't be!" He scanned over the information over and over, yet he came to the same conclusion...
"You mean you can't see it?" They should be able to see it. If I'm not even using my new sense and I can see it...then they should too. He held up his hand and showed it to Jake. "...can you see it?"
Jake squinted. He could almost sense the aura coming from Matt. "You've got some sort of aura coming out of you..." Jake replied. "We might want to show this to the doctor."
"Aura! That's it!" He said clapping his hands together and letting out a laugh of joy and stopped to talk again. "Now I remember what this stuff is! Aura! I remember learning about Lucario. He could sense aura and he could control the aura in his body. THAT'S what's happening with me!"
Kyle's eyes remained glued to the screen. This can't be... there's no way!
"Uh... Yeah!" Jake replied, pretending as if he knew what was going on. He sensed the excitement of Matt and he was getting excited too, though he didn't know what about. "So, what about this aura, then?"
"Ah...um, Aura is basically this force that everyone has in them but right now, only Lucario...and I--sorta--can use this power effectively." Mat said a bit proud of himself.
"Hm..." Jake stroked his chin as he thought. I should grow a goatee... Then he snapped back to reality. "Hm... Aura in us all? Can you see it in me?" Jake asked.

Keisha stands there, remaining calm. "Okay, no need to go nuts on us," she says, folding her arms. "What's wrong?"
"Yeah. that's how I knew you came in here." Matt said closing his eyes again to get a closer look at his Aura. Hm...he seems to have more than the others...
"Nothing," Kyle said, barely hearing Keisha speak. "Nothing. The scan didn't find anything wrong with the bones, the skin, the muscles; Nothing!!"
"But that's impossible!" Alex shouted. "Unless..."
"Every cause has an effect," Kyle said, trying to think logically. "And every effect has a cause. In this case, the virus is the cause, and the change in the body is the effect. If so, where would the virus be located to be able to do this...? Damn! I know it's right in front of my face..." He continued to scan the screen in hopes of a hint or clue.
"Nothing is nothing," murmured Lily cryptically. "Is there anywhere the scan doesn't look?"
"It covered the entire body, every system," Kyle continued to look at pictures of the scans, looking for anything. "It didn't miss one part. This virus is a tricky one..."
"The virus must affect us on a genetic level." Alex said.

"It could very well go beyond that," Kyle said, grabbing a piece of paper. "What did you say your name was?"
"Alex."
Kyle recorded the name down. "You're both free to go do whatever you want now. You may want to periodically check back to see if I've found anything."
"I hope you find something." Alex said.
"Thank you," Kyle said, reutrning to the screen. "However, as you said, we're on a time schedule. What time did you say we would be leaving tomorrow?"
"Dawn." Alex said, looking at the floor.
Lily nodded and walked out. In her mind, the proverbial gears were turning. She did have an idea, but it was extremely unlikely, especially rince she had no facts to prove it, except for a small bit of remembered infformation from some boring tV show, which was probably false.
"When the sun rises..." Kyle thought, leaning back in his chair. "That automatically assumes I'll have to work through the night." He began to look at the computer again, thinking of the possibilities.
"Maybe you would have better results with some one that has just been infected."
"We could try it, but it would most likely be all for nothing," Kyle said doubtfully. He turned to Alex. "Do you know anyone who's just been infected?"
"No." Alex said. "If you need me, I'll be in my room." As Alex left, he forgot to grab his notebook filled with his drawings.
Kyle turned back around and continued to look at the computer.
Jake excused himself from the group, deciding to check in with the doctor for his leg wound. Blood was still trickling from the gaping hole in his leg, and it hurt a lot. He dragged himself to where the examinations were being done and walked inside. "Hello?" his voice echoed off the walls as he dragged himself inside.
Kyle turned his attention away from the computer momentarily to see Jake step in. His eyes immediately went to the wound in his leg. "Please lie down," he said, pointing to bed-like structure again.
"Uh... Kay," Jake replied and limped onto the bed. The wound was on his left leg and went diagonally down from the bottom of his knee to his ankle. The gash wasn't that wide, but fairly deep. He himself hadn't taken that much time to look at it, but now that his eyes scanned it he was wondering what kind of claws the Mew possessed to make that cut. He had to admit, he gave the Mew plenty of time seeing as how he was determind to take the pic no matter how much he was attacked. Good thing these aren't my favorite pair of jeans, he thought, looking at the huge rip in them.
Kyle quickly put on gloves and a mask. "That's quite a deep cut you have there," he said, preparing himself. "This might sting a little bit. I'm going to have to disinfect the cut, clear it up, and then do a quick laceration." Right before operating, Kyle had a strike of curiosity. "When did you get infected by the virus?"
Matt was standing in the hallway near the entrance. "Hmm...I suppose I should go back to where Kyle was." He closed his eyes and let the Aura guide him as he ran down the hallways.
Jake shrugged. "Maybe a half an hour ago or so. Probably earlier, my Pigeot travels pretty fast," he replied, thinking. Jake felt his curiosity, and was relieved he didn't detect any hints of fear.
I'll have to work fast! "First I'll need to take a sample of your blood, to make sure you're not infected from that injury yet," Kyle said, taking a needle. He slowly inserted it into Jake's arm, took some of the blood, and took it out. He then began to bandage it up. Then he started to take care of the injury.
He first dabbed a cotton ball with some disinfectant, and began to clear the room. He then took some stitches and lacerated the wound. Since it's visible, it won't be that difficult to fix. After a few minutes, there was only a small line on his leg. "The scar should remain for a few months. After that, there will hardly be a trace of it."
"Hey, that was pretty fast, and not so bad," Jake said, slightly surprised. "While I'm here, did you want to do tests on me or something?" I wonder if you have to take into account the different types of Pokemon that were effected. I'm sure they affect people in different ways. I bet Psychic effects mind, Electric may effect nerves... Jake pondered how the whole system might work for a bit. Within seconds he was in deep thought.
"If you'd like to help further my research, stay lying down, and relax," Kyle said, uploading the blood information onto the computer. Blood type A positive. Nothing abnormal here, either. Kyle then began to start up the machine that would scan Jake's body.
Matt made it to the room, openned his eyes and walked in. "Hey, sorry about running out earlier and I hope I'm not interfearing with anything."
Jake laid down, trying to relax. As soon as he did, emotions and thoughts flooded through his mind. He jerked back up, eyes wide. He breathed in slowly and tried to relax again. This time he was more careful, trying to keep the emotions and thoughts controlled. He wasn't sure whether they were someone else's or his own, either way he wasn't ready to deal with them.
The white machine hovered across Jake, and soon it stopped. It then began to transmit information to the computer again. "You can do whatever you want now."
"Hm..." Jake hesitated before talking again. "Don't you do any mind tests? Questions, figure out different behaviors with the new abilities...? Machines can overlook things and aren't always functioning properly or accurate."
"You know...that could be a possibility." Matt said wanting to get in. "But would we have enough time for all that?"
"Jeez, I don't remember it taking this long to get to Liliycove..." Karizo said as he was walking through the fields just north of Mount Pyre. Soon, he had a view of the tall buildings of the city. "Ah, there it is... Not much longer now."
The wind pushed his brown and blond hair into his face, and he just brushed it out of the way, making sure he didn't drop the box of Pokemon medical supplies he was carrying. His mother had just asked him to run it to the Pokemon Center in Lilycove real quick that day. Since he didn't have any Pokemon himself, he took a White Flute ((can't remember which one, white or black...)) to keep any wild Pokemon away. Karizo had no idea what was happening now...
"That is true," Kyle said, as the information popped up on the screen. "However, we should use that a little later, if we can't figure out the problem soon." He looked at the information, and then frowned deeply. If I thought that not knowing where it was before was bad... this is even worse!
Jake frowned as well when Kyle's thoughts popped into his head. "Why's it worse?" Jake asked, thinking Kyle had said that out loud. "What does the thing say?"
"Wait...worse? What was bad before!?" Matt said a bit confused since he wasn't there earlier.
As Karizo was walking, he looked south towards Mount Pyre. It seemed that every time he looked at it, he had a sense or sort of peace. Maybe even a bit mystic. He was really close to Lilycove now, and Karizo decided to pick his pace up so that he could get there sooner, seeing as it took him forever to get through the woods on Route 121.
Kyle looked at Jake quizzically. "How did you...?" He shook that out of his head, and went back to the information. "I've found where it is. He took two pictures as they were printed from a printer nearby. They both showed pictures of the spine; one was of Alex's and the other was Jake's.
He pointed to Alex's, which was completely straight. "As you can see here, there appears to be nothing wrong..." Then he took out Jake's picture. It looked almost identical, only there was a small bump on the spine. "...but I've finally found it. The virus takes itself into the bloodstream, and works its way to the spinal area. That way it can also take control of different things, as it is near the nervous system. It impants itself on the spine, and then blends in."
Lily was taking a nap at this point.

"So now that you've found it, you can get a cure, right?" Matt said smiling.

Kyle sighed. "We'd first need to take the virus out of one of the infected and examine it up close. Only then would we be able to determine how to cure it. Unfortunately, we can't tell where it is exactly, and I'm not sure if someone would be brave enough to undergo the operation."
Karizo had now arrived in town. Looking at the clock near the entrance to the city, he then spotted the Pokemon Center and headed right over. As he walked inside, he couldn't help but notice that there wasn't anyone there.
"Hello?" Karizo said, his voice not reaching any ears. "Hmm... That's odd..."
Without thinking much, he then decided to visit the hospital like he usually does when he came to Lilycove. Sometimes he would help out by moving some supplies or getting something for one of the doctors real quick. Karizo left the Pokemon Center and headed down the street until he reached the Lilycove hospital. He walked in and looked around a bit. Karizao wasn't sure if there was anyone here, either.
"Is there anyone here?" Karizo said as he walked towards the front desk.
"Well, you saw mine, didn't you?" Jake replied. "So you must know where it is on my body. If you act fast, you may be able to catch the little bugger and examine this darn thing so we can be cured."
Alex had just gotten to his room when he realized that he left his notebook in the other room.
"You'd be willing?" Kyle asked Jake, interested in his bravery. "Sure, we know where it is on you, but the spine is fairly large, so we can't determine where it would be on in every body... but developing an antidote could kill the virus without having to locate it."
"Well, we need that anecdote. And without much time, it'd be best if you found someone to do it now. I'll take the bullet this time around, but don't expect me to be so generous every time," Jake said. Someone knew just came into the hospital... Jake looked over at Matt, wondering if he could sense it, too.
Getting somewhat curious, Karizo decided to take a look down one of the halls to see if there was anyone down there. Walking away from the front desk, he went to the hall right of it and began to slowly look around.
"Where is everyone?" Karizo said silently to himself.
Lily was still snoozing in her room.

Meanwhile in Mauville, her childhood friend, Nick was wondering about a rumor he'd heard. Could it be true? Are they really releasing all the Pokemorphs? he wondered. Lily went to that hospital in Lilycove. She'll be released along with the rest. Maybe I could go to Lilycove? Sure, I've got nothing better to do. But it's too far to reach by tomorrow. Crap. What to do then? Maybe she'll come to Mauville? I don't know. She probably won't be welcomed by the people here. Oh well. I'll decide soon enough.
Alex saw Karizo as he left his room to get his notebook.
Kaziro had stopped dead in his tracks, because he had seen Alex as well. Fortree City hadn't heard of what was happening, strangely enough, and he had no clue what was happening.
"Wh... What the?!" Karizo said as he backed up a bit.
Alex, startled by kaziro, ran of before he could stop him.

Karizo just stood there for a moment, unsure whether or not to believe what he had just seen.
"Wh..." He began. "... What's going on?!" Karizo walked down the hallway to see if there was anyone else in the hospital.
Why is he here? He hasn't been bitten or hurt. Alex thought after getting out of Karizo's sight.
Still a little stunned from what he had just seen, he found a bench a few doors down from the room where the others were and sat down. Karizo started to go through his mind, trying to come up with an explanation to what he saw.
"Okay... Maybe it was just someone dressed up like a Pikachu..." Karizo said to himself quietly. "Yeah, you've seen trainers that have done that before, nothing that bad..." Karizo was still a bit unsure.
Jas is sitting against a wall in one of the hallways. She lazily looks up with the stick of a sucker hanging out of her mouth when she hears Karizo. "Hmm...?"
Karizo looked up a bit. Turning his head, he was now looking right at Jas. There was a long silence.
"...... Okay, I'm not imagining this." Karizo said to himself as he put his face in his right hand. "What's going on?"

"Someone, or some group sent out a virus," Jas starts. "It affects pok?mon, and humans can get it if they're attacked by one that's infected... as you've already seen..."
"And... They become half-Pokemon as a result?" Karizo said to make sure he was understanding her right.

"Pretty much," Jas nods. "Even though I'm sure there's more to it. I'm not sure what happens as it progresses."
Kyle nodded. "Ok. Please leave for a half hour while I prepare for surgery. We will then begin the operation."

Keisha had been following after Kyle since she's supposed to be helping.
"If we have the virus within us, couldn't we spread it? Like the cold virus," Jake said. "Can you figure out where the new guy is now?"
"I'm sorry, but I'm highly forgetful," Kyle said, turning to Keisha. "What was your name again?"
"Well...we wouldn't exactly go as far as to go and bite anybody." At least I hope we don't go that far. With that, he closed his eyes and focussed. "Hmm...I'm having some trouble. I can't quite see him. Maybe he's being overpowered by someone with stronger Aura." Well...If I'm going to be part Lucario, I might want to train on using this ability...But it sort of angers me that I can't see him. He became angry with himself for this and clutch his fist and a small burst of Aura came out very clearly.
Keisha's ears twitch a bit. "Name's Keisha," she says. "Keisha Foxx."
"Thank you Keisha," Kyle said, leaning against a wall. "Have you had any experience in operations before?"
"Whoa!" Jake yelped, floating into the air again. "Be careful with that aura!" Jake floated along, trying to get used to the sensation of being as light as air.
"You sure are jumpy." Matt said with a laugh. "I suppose I might want to try and train my powers to control Aura since I'm now a Lucario pokemorph." He said thinking of making a swirling motion of the aura in his hand, which he did for a few seconds.

Kyle re-entered the room, shutting the blinds so no one could look inside the room. "The patient's name is Jake. We have no information on a last name. We will be performing a removal of a foreign object located on the spine. Estimated time for operation: two hours. This will be the first time I've ever done an operation like this, and on such a short notice, as well."
Kyle sighed and put on scrubs and a mask, and also handing more of those items to Keisha. He sighed. "After that, we'll examine the virus and its reactions. We have until dawn to develop an antiserum."
"If this operation works out, you may not need to master your Pokemorph moves," Jake replied hopefully. "Actually, I should start preparing for the operation." Jake took a couple deep breathes, in a way glad he didn't ask of the side effects. I'm sure I can't die from this... It must be worth it. Jake reminded himself what he was doing it for.
"Well you never know if it will work out or not..." And for some odd reason...I don't think it will.
"What, why not?" Jake asked, once again thinking Matt's thoughts were being said outloud. He began slowly walking back towards the surgery room.
"Huh?" Did I say that out loud?...I guess I did. "Well...It's sort of just that kind of gut feeling I got now."
Karizo was still thinking it all over as he now stood up. Walking a bit, he came just a bit closer to Jas.
"Well, is there anyone else in this hospital besides the guy that I just saw, who looked like a Pikachu?" Karizo asked as he took his hand off his face and looked at her.
"Yeah," Jas says, watching Karizo. "There's more people. I just don't know where they are because I wandered off."
"Hmm..." Karizo said to himself. "Well, I think it might be a good idea to find the others... I want to figure out some more finer details about this and see if there's anything I can do..."
"We've still got to try," Jake replied, now walking into Karizo and Jas. He had heard what Karizo had just said.
"You, new guy. If you want to help, the operating room is just round the corner. I'm going there now myself. Maybe the doc can use you as a control or something."
"... Whoa..." Karizo thought to himself as he looked at Jake. "Um... All right." Karizo then began to follow after him.
"Come on then," Jas starts walking down the hall she came from, retracing her steps, until she sees Jake. "What are you going there for?"
Jake laughed at Karizo's surprise, this time realizing it was a thought. "Surgery," he called over his shoulder to Jas, still leading Karizo towards the operating room. "I'll be getting prepped for it soon."
'Oh yeah, I remember something about a surgery being mentioned,' Jas quickly catches up to them. "Something about the virus was found then..."
"Wait... Surgery?" Karizo said a bit nervously. He had never been too joyous about the sight of blood, and he knew that it would never really change.
"Mmmm, yeah. But I don't get any of that mumbo jumbo. The doc-guy can get you more info on that," Jake said to Jas. Then to Karizo, "Well, you don't have to get surgery. Probably just a scan, maybe a blood withdrawal, and possibly a physical."
Jas nods at Karizo, then adds to what Jake said. "Yeah, he'll probably just run some tests since you're the only one not infected..."
"Oh... Well, that doesn't seem to bad..." Karizo said with a bit of relief. As they walked down the hallway, Karizo got a thought.
"... What would I end up looking like if I got that virus? He began to think. "If I do end up getting it some how, my only wish would be not to get something like a Jigglypuff riled up at me... Yikes..."
Matt came after Jake and found him with Jas and a new guy. "Oh, hey Jas." ...Sweet! I rememebered her name. "So...who's the new guy?"
"Oh, I'm Karizo... I just came from Fortree..." Karizo replied as he came up besides Jas.
"Ah...I'm Mephistopheles...but you can call me Matt. I was bit by a Lucario and that's why I'm here." Matt said taking a closer look at him. "Wait...are you infected or not?"
"Um... No... In fact, I never heard of the virus until I got here... It hasn't reached Fortree yet." Karizo explained to Matt. "I had only come to deliver supplies to the Pokemon Center."
"Oh...I see." Matt said. That's odd...he didn't even know about the disease. "Did anybody tell you about the disease when coming here? They should have told you that if they had to send something here."
"Nope... No-one had come to Fortree recently, so we never got the news." Karizo continued. "And on top of that, I never met anyone on my way here."
"Ah, now I understand." Matt said nodding his head. "So why are you still here? I thought you were probably going to be yelling in fear seeing us pokemorphs here."
"Well... I dunno... I guess I just want to know what's going on a bit more..." Karizo replied. "I'm kinda the curious type..." He rubbed the back of his head and laughed a small bit.
"Yeah...I know what you mean." He said laughing too a bit. "That's basically what caused me to get this virus." He said giving a smile.
"I see..." Karizo said. He just remained silent for a moment. "Well... What's it like?"
"It's actually... Kinda fun," Jake replied, floating again. If I like it so much... Why am I so determind to get rid of it?
"That's what I was going to say." Matt said looking at his hands that were still letting Aura pour out of his hands. "And I bet there's much more I can learn about using this Aura stuff."
"Well, I can definitely understand what you're saying about that..." Karizo mentioned.
"Wait, are you saying you know something about this Aura stuff?" Matt said.
"Well, my mother helps out at the Pokemon Center in Fortree, so I've learned some stuff about it, along with stuff of other Pokemon..." Karizo replied. "Not too much, but enough to know how it kinda works..."
"Oh really." Matt said thinking for a moment before speaking again. "Well I suppose I'l need to learn a good bit more about the Aura before I can really use it effectively."
"I see..." Karizo said. There was another pause. "Well, I guess I should talk to the doctor here now, right?"
"I think you should...and I should too now." Matt said starting to walk back to the operating room where Kyle was.
Karizo followed Matt in. Looking around, he then saw the others at a exam table.
Jake followed them in as well.
"'Ey doc, I'm ready for you to stick a knife in me!" he exclaimed.
Karizo looked at him a bit shocked.
"Wow, now that was blunt..." Karizo thought to himself.
Jas tilts her head to the side. "Yeeahh, real nice way to put it," she blinks as small bolts of lightning swirl around her.
Jake read Karizo's emotions and wondered what he was so surprised about. "How should I put it, then?" Jake asked, thinking the way he said it was just fine.
"Err..." Karizo said a bit quietly.
"How did he...?" He started thinking. "... Oh... Yeah, forgot..."
"That won't be exactly how I'll perform," Kyle said, preparing the area. "I'll open a pathway to the spinal cord and attempt to get the virus out. We'll put you under a general anesthetic so that you won't feel a thing. We've already located where the virus is, all we need to do is extract it."
Karizo somewhat twinged even at the mention of opening someone up. He tried to shake the feeling.
"Erm... Is there any way I can help?" Karizo said. "I can get supplies or something..."
"Keisha's already helping with the operation," Kyle replied to Karizo. "But another addition to the team couldn't hurt. Are you fine with the sight of blood?"
"This sort of reminds me when I had to disect a frog in Biology class." Matt said a bit out loud not talking to anybody in particular. "Of course this'll be a bit different with a living thing and all."
"Ehh... Actually, no, I'm not..." Karizo replied. "I don't pass out, but... Well..." It was kind of obvious what he was trying to say.
"So, you are uneasy around seeing blood, but want to help anyway?" Kyle asked. "You can tell me the patient's readouts when I ask for them, as it may be critical later on in the operation. They'll appear on this machine," he said, pointing to a small white box that resembled a T.V.
"That I can do." Karizo replied. He usually helped his mother with this exact same thing, so giving readouts was perfect for him.
I don't want anyone incompetent doing a job as they operate on me... I hope he's as confident as he sounds. Jake looked around. "So, doc, where do you want me to sit?"
"First we'll need all others to exit the area," Kyle said. "It's for their own safety. Then you'll have to removed your shirt, and then lie face down on the table. We'll apply the general anesthetic, and then I'll handle it from there. You won't feel a thing."
"See ya then," Jas starts walking away again.
Keisha's ears fold back as she wonders what'll happen afterwards.
Jake took his shirt off, rolled it up into a ball, and shot it randomly. "So... Am I going to die or something? Because you made it seem like no one would possibly want to do this operation before, but it doesn't sound so bad."
"You will not die," Kyle said, preparing all of the equipment. "Everything will be just fine. When you wake up, the virus will have been extracted from your body, and we'll be researching it."

Lily woke up quite unwillingly. She went into the hallway and looked around.
I wonder where everyone went.
Kyle closed the door, and sat down in a chair, writing quickly on a piece of paper. 4:35 PM. The sun is preparing to set, and the operation is about to begin. I've been limited to one nurse, and another person shall be helping. Neither of them has experience with surgery. I alone will be doing the operation. He set down the paper, and got up. "Let's begin the operation."
'Even though these things are easier said than done,' Keisha sighs and nods. "Alright."
"Can't wait, doc," Jake said sarcastically. He laid face down on the table, like told.
Kyle began hooking some machines up, and some of them began to show things such as pulse, blood pressure, and heart rate. He then took a needle that had something in it, and inserted it into Jake. "You'll fall into a nice, calm sleep," he assured, putting the needle down. He then picked up a mask and a hairnet, put them on, and went to Jake's side.
"I don't feew tiwed..." Jake yawned, suddenly tired out. Within moments, he was knocked out.
"This is it," Kyle said, looking down at the patient. "We can't afford to make any errors from here on in. Scalpel." He requested to Keisha.
((Is he gonna randomly request for a sandwich? >.>))
"What are you talking about?" Keisha hands him the scalpel. "We couldn't afford any mistakes from the start."
"Back then we had more time," Kyle said, making an incision along Jake's back. He continuously made smaller incisions until he could see the spinal cord. By this time, it was completely flat, the virus nowhere in sight... seemingly. "It's disguising itself as part of the spinal cord." He set the scalpel down in a tray of water. "Forceps."
"Then how do you know what part it would be?" Keisha asks as she gives Kyle the forceps. "Unless it looks nothing like how a normal part should?"
"We saw the picture," Kyle said, taking the forceps from Keisha's hand, "so we know where it is." He lowered the forceps, and grabbed at the spinal cord. He pulled, and white stuff that looked like part of the spinal cord came out with it. "Vitals?" He quickly asked Karizo.
"Everything's stable, BPM is 122 over 81, no abnormalities..." Karizo said as he read off of the small screen.

'Hmmgh,' Keisha glances back at Karizo. 'It looks a bit too much like an actual spinal cord. But that is the point of what it does I guess...'
Karizo was still watching the screen. He didn't even dare look back to watch what was happening.
Kyle put what he thought was the virus into a small, clear canister. "Alright then, let's commence with the surturing. Suture." He requested to Keisha.
"Right," Keisha nods and hands Kyle the requested material.
"Everything's still stable..." Karizo said as he continued to watch the screen. It was almost over, so he would soon not have to worry about looking back.
Kyle began to stitch up Jake, and was soon done. "The operation is a success," he said, taking off his mask. Strange... that was a lot easier than I had expected...
Karizo waited a moment before turning to see. He could stand just a little blood, but once there was enough in view, that's when he would get nauseous. The view was fine now.
"Good," Keisha says, smiling a little. "Any idea when he'll wake up?"
"Approximately half an hour," Kyle said, observing the canister he had placed the virus in. All of a sudden, the white part of the spinal cord changed into a red, sort of lizard-insect thing. It started to try to climb out of the canister, but failed. It then began to screech.
Karizo stared in disbelief.
"Um... That... That just doesn't seem right." Karizo said as he continued to stare at it.
"This is the virus, whether you want to believe it or not," Kyle said, observing the virus's behavior. "And it's in your body as well. Things like this shouldn't even be created, it's inhuman!"
"In case you haven't noticed," Keisha says. "He isn't infected," she nods her head at Karizo. "Geico gone bad huh?" She watches the thing in the container, thinking.
"I'm sorry," Kyle said, taking his attention away from the virus. "I just assumed that everyone here had the virus inside them."
"Yeah... It hasn't reached Fortree yet, and that's where I came from." Karizo replied. He suddenly got the thought of what might happen if the virus did end up getting there. Karizo began to worry about his mother. "And I think I need to get back there and make sure it's stayed that way for the time I've been gone now..."
"Mmhm, it could've already gotten there," Keisha says, now looking away from the virus, and at Karizo and Kyle. "I can understand if you wanna leave."
"Well, yeah... But I had used a white flute to keep Pokemon away on my way here, but..." Karizo began. "I think with this virus, it won't work... And I don't have any Pokemon of my own..."
Matt heard that the surgery was finish and assumed that he could go in then. "Hey, do you happen to go by Mt. Pyre on your way back to Fortree?"
"Well, yeah..." Karizo answered him. He then though about how many Pokemon were said to be along the northern way back to Fortree. "And I think that we'll have to go through the southern way to get there, seeing that it has a less dense population of Pokemon..."
"Ah, so we'll go past Mount Pyre." Matt said thinking for a moment. "I have to go there since I've lost my camera there. Maybe we could make a stop there and then I can come along with you...Since, you know, I'm half-pokemon, I suppose I could help you get back!"
"So you're not scared of being caught?" Kyle asked Matt.
"Well...erm...now that you mention it..." Matt said not really thinking about that. "Well...If I could just hide my newly grown tail from veiw and put my hands in my pocket, I don't think anybody would suspect anything." He said since hadn't changed that much yet except for his hair color, the new tail, and the Aura coming from his hands.
"Just try to stay out of trouble," Kyle advised the two. "Who knows what could happen if others found out about this place?"
"Don't worry. I can do that." Matt said with a smile. "Inconspicuous is my middle name."
"We all know what could happen," Keisha jumps into the conversation. "Don't you see all the signs everywhere, the hostility? People would probably try to kill us if they knew we were here."
Jake opened his eyes groggily. Whoa... I feel weird... He sat up on the operating table. "Did it work?" he asked, looking over at the group.
"Well...you're still alive so I assume that everything went well." Matt said to Jake.
"We successfully extracted the virus," Kyle told Jake.
"Oh... Great," Jake said half-heartedly. "I s'pose that's good news..." He got up and put his shirt back on. "I guess this means I can leave this place now, then."
"Leave? Huh? Is it Friday already." Matt said a bit confused. I remember that they said that we could leave on friday...is it already that late?
"Unfortunately," Kyle said, turning to Jake, "the virus had already connected to your bloodstream. You aren't cured. Yet."
"Oh no, that sucks." Though he sounded relieved. He then attempted to balance on his new Mew tail, and was successful. "Hey, check this move out!"
Alex reached the surgery after going to the Cafeteria to get a drink. Opening the door, Alex looked around for his notebook and saw it on one of the desks. He went over and picked it up.
"What's in that notebook of yours?" Jake asked as he noticed Alex walk in and pick it up.
"Um. N-Nothing."
"Oh really? Then why are you so nervous." Matt said hoping to break him and get him to tell.
"You just startled me, that's all." Alex said.
"Are you sure about that?" Matt said with a mischeivious grin. "Are you sure it's not something else?"
"You didn't notice us all standing here? Now come on, what's in that notebook of yours? Don't make us go pokemorph on you!" Jake added, joining in with Matt.
"Back off." Alex said, a few sparks could be seen across his hand as he said that.
"Aw come on...just tell us." Matt said changing tactics seeing that Alex might get violent if he continued what he was doing. "I'm sure it's not that bad of anything."
"No!" Alex shouted. "Now leave me alone!"
C'mon, just keep going. I bet he's on the verge of breaking. "But...I'm curious. I wanna know what's inside!"
"If he doesn't want to show you the first time," Kyle said, standing up, irritated, "what makes you think he'll show you later?"
"Geez, what's up your butt?" Jake mumbled. He read Matt's mind and gave him a nervous glance, thinking Alex was going to get violent either way if they continued.
When Kyle interrupted, Alex slipped past jake and matt and out the door.
"Where'd everyone go?" wondered Lily out loud. As she passed the operating room where everyone was, she noticed Alex walking out. She entered the room and looked around.
"Hello?"
Karizo turned his attention to Lily, who had just walked in.
"Wow, there's a lot more people here than I thought..." Karizo thought to himself.
After walking a short distance away from the surgery, Alex sat down and began looking through his notebook to make sure no one had messed with his pictures.
Darn. I thought I was almost about to break him, too... "Oh well." Matt said out loud as he left the room and tried to find his way back into the room he started out in. It's starting to get a bit late...I should go to bed. Tomorrow's going to be a strange day when we all get released out into the rest of the world...
Jake followed Matt out. "Do you know where we sleep in this joint?" he asked with a yawn.
"Well...I'm going to my room...if I can find it and I rmemeber there being a second bed that nobody was using." Matt said.
Okay, so there are rooms in this place... Jake thought. "Mind if I use it? I don't have a room in this place," Jake said.
"Sure, why not." Matt said looking into the rooms in the hallway trying to find his.
"I think I might have to sleep here, too..." Karizo started. "Don't want to head out in the night..."
Matt found his room and walked in. "Yep, this is definitely my room. I recognize that mirro-..." He just stopped and walked over feeling through his hair and came across two blue pointed ears. "...Great...Just great." Matt said feeling up and down his two new ears. "As if I needed anything else that would make me more noticable."
Jas had once again wandered away, and was now on the roof of the building. Keisha is starting to head for the door, so she can get to her own room.
"I guess a couch'll be fine..." Karizo said to himself quietly. He walked out and headed for the lobby where he had come in. Finding a couch, he walked over to it and laid down.
"If people notice those, they'll capture you for sure," Jake said. "We need the cure now more then ever..." He stole a glance at his tail which had appeared shortly after the surgery.
Matt grabbed a cap that he had but must have fallen off earlier when he was freaking out about his hair. He put it on his head and although it felt a bit uncomfortable, it worked pretty well. "Now I'll just..." He grabbed his tail and put his shirt over it to hide it. "There. That should help...for now."
Karizo was staring up at the glass part of the roof that was above where he was laying down. It was clear out, so he could easily see the stars.
"... This virus is going to change the entire Hoenn region..." Karizo began to think. "And if it goes any farther, maybe even the world..."
((Err... stars? D: I thought it was only, like, 5 PM...))

((So? The sun can set pretty early, especially during the winter. Where I live, it get's dark by 5-6...And there's also what Boa said.))
((It was about 4:35 when he started the surgery, so, in reality, it should be about 5:45 or so. You can decide if it's dark enough for stars to be out or not.))

Jas sits on the edge of the roof, letting electricity twirl through her fingers. "How far will this go?"
((Well... Maybe there could be some stars, and it's still somewhat light out? I dunno... X_X ))
Kyle walked into the cafeteria area, and grabbed a cup of tea. He then went outside of the hospital, needing some fresh air. He sipped slightly at it. It's going to be a long night... He then looked up at the roof, and saw Jas. He heard her talking to herself. "I'm hoping it won't go on much longer," he replied.
Since Karizo had been walking almost all day, he was already getting tired. Soon, he was asleep, despite what time it was.
"Wha?" Jas looks down at Kyle because she didn't know anyone was around. "Yeah, I know. Hey, didn't you do that operation on Jake? How'd it go?"
"The operation was a success," Kyle said, taking another sip of his tea. "I extracted the virus. All we need to do now is observe the virus's actions along with the change in Jake's status in order to develop an antidote. Unfortunately, a day might not be enough time."
"I could've told you that," Jas stands up, thinking about jumping down. "So, when we do get kicked out, where are you gonna research?"
"I hadn't thought of that," Kyle replied honestly. "I was hoping I could get the research done by tomorrow morning, so I could develop an antidote."
Satisfied that no one messed with his book, Alex got up and headed to the cafeteria to get something to eat.
Natt walked over to his bed and remembered that he had put a picture in his pocket the day before, before he took the picture of Lucario. He took a look at it. "Hm...oh yeah, I took a picture of a Shuppet looking right at me before encountering that Lucario." Matt said to himself forgetting that Jake was in the room. I wonder if it was infected...it's almost as if I can see it in its eyes.
"You think that Shuppet was infected, too?" Jake asked Matt. He was feeling slightly dizzy, and sat on the spare bed for support.

Karizo thought he had heard something, but it was only himself just imagining things. Finding that everything was all right, he laid back and began to go back to sleep. Karizo was still very tired.
As Alex sat down to eat, the lights flickered for a moment before turning of completely. "Great."
Karizo didn't notice as he slept, seeing that the only light that was on until that moment was the one lamp on the front desk. He turned a bit, but that was the only response he made as he slept on.
((....ok, that's nice, but first of all, who the hell is jake? can you please give at least a 2-4 sentence summary of what happened after I last posted. too lazy))

(( I only know after when I joined, so... Anyway, my character is Jake. He underwent an operation after coming into the hospital to get the virus taken out of him. Even though the virus is gone, it is still in his bloodstream, so he still has his powers. So, now the doc needs to watch for changes with the virus etc. to discover an antidote. It is around 6 PM and everyone is doing their own thing. ))
((Jk. Kyle wanted to see if he could ge a sample of the virus so alex and lily volenteered. Kyle could not get a sample from them but found out where the virus can be found. Jake came in after being attacked by a mew. Kyle operate and managed to extract the virus but jake was still infected. now the power has been cut for some reason.))
"... Nghh..." Karizo muttered in his sleep. He was beginning to enter a dream...
Water was everywhere. It stretched out as far as Karizo could see. Confused by what kind of dream it was, he began to walk. As Karizo loked down, he found that he was actually walking right on top of the water. He had never had this kind of dream before.
"Wh... What is this...?" He asked himself as he continued to walk on the water.
((it's all right if I do this kind of thing with weird dreams that give hints about the future, right? ::)))
Alex got up out of his chair and left the cafeteria to look for some sort of light. He kept one hand one the wall, and walked slowly so as to not run in to any thing. Opening the first door he found, he walked in and banged his leg on the bed.

Soon, the sound of wind could be heard in the completely water filled landscape. The surface began to ripple, and Karizo had a hard time staying stable on the water's now rough surface.
"Whoa... This isn't good..." Karizo said to himself as the wind and waves grew stronger. It began to get to the point where clouds were now visible, and they were a dark gray. They were also rolling in fast.
Spike woke up to find himself on the ground, but it was dark.
"Why did I fall asleep, and why the hell is it dark? The power's out?" Spike got up and started calling out names.
"Lily! Alex! Jas! Keisha! Anybody!"
"Do you have to holler like that?" Jas asks. She's standing above him, a cup of Ramen in her hand. "It's not like we dug a tomb and buried you alive..."
Karizo's eyes widened as he stared on. He was staring straight at a large funnel of water that looked almost 5 miles wide, and it was coming towards him.
"Oh, shoot... A maelstrom..." Karizo muttered under his breath as he began to run as fast as he could in the opposite direction of the wall of water. it was moving faster, and he was soon hit by the large twister. "Gyah!!"
Alex backed out of the room uopon seeing that is was empty. Back in the hallway, Alex continued to walk until he reached the lobby. There, he saw Karizo asleep on the couch. Judging by how he was struggling, Alex guess that he was having a nightmare. Reaching out, alex touched him lightly on the shoulder.
Strangely enough, Karizo was so into the dream, the touch didn't even effect him.
Now Karizo was underwater. He held his breath for as long as he could, hoping that he could get back to the surface fast enough. But as he swam farther upward, all he found was more water. Soon, is energy began to ebb away, and his vision blurred a bit. Then, from out of nowhere, he saw a shadow in the water in front of him. It grew closer, until he suddenly saw what it was. A Suicune.
"Wha..." Karizo thought as he looked at it. It's eyes were closed, and stayed like that for a moment. It's eyes finally opened, and they were a glowing red. Karizo freaked out, and the air escaped from him.
"Wah!!" Karizo shouted as he unexpectedly shot up from where he lay.
"Yeow!" Alex shouted, as Karizo shot up. Startled by his actions, Alex stumbled backwards on to the floor.
"Whoa... Gyah..." Karizo said hoarsely. His breath was really heavy from what he had seen in the dream. "That... Was not normal..."
"Ow... Geez... You need to be more careful." Alex said.
Karizo turned his head and looked at Alex.
"Oh... Sorry..." Karizo began as he swung his legs so that he was sitting on the couch. "It's just that the dream I had... Wow...
"Sounds more like a nightmare." Alex said. "What was it about?"
"There was water everywhere..." Karizo started. "I was standing on the water, and then this storm started... A giant water funnel like a maelstrom hit me, and I went underwater... That's where I saw..." His breathing was more calm now. "... That's where I saw a Suicune. When it opened it's eyes, they were glowing red, and... That's where I woke up."
"That sounds creepy."
Kyle followed Jas, and looked at Spike suspiciously. "What's your name?"
Matt put the picture he was looking at back into his pocket and sat on his bed and grabbed the remote to turn on the TV. He turned it on and started flipping through the channels.
"Well, we better find a way to turn on the power."
((Sorry to interupt your show Dr.hobo2, but the power is out.))

Matt hit the power button only to find that the TV wouldn't turn on. "Aw...crap." He got back up and walked toward the main lobby out of sheer boredom.
Jake was heading towards the center of the hospital, trying to feel his way around. There should be a back up generator somewhere close by, he thought as he bumped into things. Or at least a pack of matches or something!
It was starting to get even darker as it got later. Matt closed his eyes and used his power of sensing Aura. A guy could really get used to this kind of thing. He 'looked' around and saw an Aura source he recognized. I'm pretty sure that's Jake over there. He then proceeded to walk towards Jake's direction in the dark.
"Spike." This time, he didn't held out his hand.
"Anyway, Jas, where are the others? And why did I fall asleep?"
"I've just..." Karizo started again. "I've never had that kind of dream before..." Karizo kept thinking about the Suicune over and over. Did it mean anything?
"I don't know, but let's find a way to turn oon the lights. I hate the dark."
"Well, maybe we could try the breaker switch in the basement..." Karizo suggested. "That's our best bet."
"There might also be a generator there too." Alex said, "Any way, let's go. Um do you have a flashlight or something?"
"No, but there might be one behind the front desk..." Karizo said as he walked over to it. Going around the desk, he looked underneath in some of the cupboards and found a flashlight. Checking to make sure it worked, he turned it on and walked back over. "Okay, this one works... Let's go down there."
"Ok," Alex said, "But I don't know where it is."
"I've been down there plenty of times before... Just follow me..." Karizo said as he began to walk down the hallway to the right of the front desk.
"Ok." Alex said, before following Karizo. "I wonder why the power went out."
"I'm not sure..." Karizo said as he looked for the door to the basement. "Maybe something fell over and hit the switch box?"
"Doubt it. I bet they keep it locked up or something." Alex said.
"Yeah... Ah, here it is." Karizo said as he found the door to the basement. He opened the door and looked down the stairs. Aiming the flashlight down there, he began to go down the stairs.
Jake sensed another presence nearby, and he turned to face where Matt was, though he couldn't see him. "Hello?" His voice echoed through the darkness. The brume of the hospital was eery with no light shining through.
"Oh, so it is you Jake. It's me, Matt." He said walking closer.
Although he did not say it, alex did not want to go down into the basement.
Karizo turned back and looked at Alex.
"You coming?" Karizo asked after seeing that he had stopped.
"Oh, hey," Jake greeted. "Man... I wonder why the lights went out? This can't be good for the research."
"I'm starting to get a bit paranoid about all this." Matt said turning his head looking into the rooms using the Aura. "First, we figure out that there are no human doctors here due to fear of us. Now the lights have gone out for some odd reason...But what if this is not just some sort of coincedince..." He was really starting to go through a bit of a panic attack now.
Jake was geting panicked just from reading Matt's emotions. "What do you mean... Not a coincidence? Who do you think is controlling the lights?"
"Sorry, it might just be me with all those horror movies and zombie video games." Matt said trying to calm down. "It just seems sorta eerie. All the humans are gone...except for Karizo. Then the lights turn out...All the newest cases of pokemorphs have been gathered to this one spot...It seems too much to be some sort of coincedence of events."
"Hm..." Jake analyzed the situation himself, going off of what Matt said. "Yeah, yeah... What if the people who gathered us here are Morph haters and are trying to kill us all? And they turned the lights off so we'd be easy pickings!" Jake seemed almost proud of his own theory and how he concocted it.
"Yeah! That was exactly what I was thinking!" Matt said excitedly but scared at the same time. "...So...what do we do now?"
"Then death would be inevitable," Kyle told Jake, walking up behind him. "I overheard the conversation; I couldn't help myself."
Jake gulped, feeling dizzy again. "We could take them," he mumbled to himself. "So doc, how has your research been going? Probably not well with this power outage."
Matt was scared out of his wits when Kyle did that as he jumped back in fear. "Gah! Don't...do...that!" He said his heart now beating heavily acompanied by his loud breathing.
"The virus hardly seems to be responding to any of my experiments," Kyle told Jake, slightly ignoring Matt. "So I haven't gained much information. Once the power outage is over, I'll be able to conduct another experiment. I have a feeling that this one will work."
Matt had calmed down but still felt nervous not sure if it was just his paranoia or the kind of feeling you get in your gut when you know something bad will happen. To get his mind off of this thought, he decided to ask Kyle something. "And why do you think this experiment will work?...And what exactly is the experiment you will be doing?"
"It's just a feeling I have," Kyle told Matt. "As for the experiment itself, I'll run a complete scan of the virus. Hopefully, it will give me a clue as to what it isn't immune to."
"Oh, good, hopefully this new one works... Now, since that surgery I've been getting kind of dizzy and light-headed. That's just normal, right?" Jake asked, swaying as he spoke.
"Which surgery?" Kyle asked. "The one on your leg, or the one where we extracted the virus?"
"Well, they started after that virus one," Jake replied. But the surgeries were so close together, who could tell which it came from? 'Cept maybe a doctor...
"Usually, you should only feel those symptoms after being nauseous or after a large loss of blood," Kyle stated. He then coughed into his arm, but only slightly. He then continued. "That lead me to think it might be due to the first surgery. But if you said you started feeling it after the second surgery, then..." He coughed again, "...we should return to the lab. It might have something to do with the virus."
Jake was beginning to hear loud, bulging, undulant noise resonating in his head. "What the hell is that noise..." he whispered, trying to shake it off. I think it's trying to say something... He couldn't move, as much as he forced his legs to lift up. It felt like anvils were glued to his feet. Jake shook his head, suddenly anxious as the noise wouldn't go away. With one last lurch forward he felt his body react to his motions, but it wasn't the successful movement of a leg as he wanted. Instead he fell onto the ground and blacked out.
Matt quickly jumped forward and lifted Jake up. "Jake? Jake! JAAAAAAAAKE! ((:P)) Hey...Jake, are you okay?" He said shaking him a bit. "I think he went unconcious.
"Bring him to the research room, immediately!" Kyle ordered Matt, running quickly to the specified area.
Matt hauled Jakes body over his shoulder and followed close behind Kyle.
Kyle found his way through the dark, abandoned center to the research room. "Lie him down there," Kyle said, pointing to the table-like structure he put him on earlier.
Matt lied Jake onto the table. "Wait, what are you going to do if you can't see what you're doing?"
"Rely on my knowledge of the human body," Kyle said, picking up the container with the virus inside. He looked at it, and then almost dropped it. "What...?" Instead of one virus, there were two. They had multiplied.
"...Lemme guess, there was only one before." Matt said looking at the two viruses.
Lily basically wandered around the hospital after the lights went out. "Freaky," she said to herself.
"Ok, I wonder if they serve chocolate milk?" Spike walked to the cafeteria and opened an ice box. Inside were strawberry milk and regular, no chocolate.
"Meh, strawberry's fine."
"C-Coming." Alex said nervously.
Karizo turned back down the stairs. As the view of the hospital basement became greater, he saw that there was a small light flickering in the corner to the far left.
"Say... What's that?" Karizo asked as he aimed his flashlight over to see what it was.
"I-Is it a g-ghost?" Alex asked.
"I highly doubt it..." Karizo said as they now made it down to the bottom of the stairs. Since he had seen the light over the piles of stuff on the shelves, he decided to go and see what it could have been.
"I-I think I will stay right here." Alex said quickly.
"Well, if you want to go without the flashlight, then okay..." Karizo said as he kept walking away from the stairs.
Alex just sat down on the stairs and waited for Karizo to get back.
Karizo was getting close to where he had seen the light. Looking around, he didn't see anything. But then as he came around the corner, he saw that something had fallen over.
"That must be what had fallen over earlier..." Karizo thought to himself. He continued to walk past the shelves of supplies until he made it to where he had seen the light.
"I don't see anything..." He said to himself. Then he saw another flash of light right there in front of him. It seemed electrical. He walked over and found that something else had fallen and pulled on a cord. He looked the other way and found that it was the cord that hooked to the generator.
Before Karizo could fix the cord, A strong arm wrapped around his neck, and a hand covered his mouth and nose with a damp rag, smelling strongly of chemicals. As the chemicals took affect Karizo would lose consciousness.
"Dammit, this means it's adaptable!" Kyle said, cursing himself. "I can't believe I overlooked it." He set the jar down and walked over to Matt and Jake. "Try to find a pulse or a heartbeat," Kyle told Matt, as he put on some gloves.
"Nggh! Nnh..." Karizo said with the cloth over his mouth before he passed out.
The man that had grabbed Karizo smiled when Karizo stopped struggling and passed out. He let Karizo go and watched as he hit the floor, before turning to go up the stairs. However, Alex saw the flashlight hit the ground and asked, "Are you alright?"
There was no response. Karizo couldn't even hear Alex call to him.
Matt walked over to Jake but instead of feeling for a beatr, he closed his eyes and sensed the Aura in Jake. Well, I still se Aura in him so he's definitely alive... "He's still alive...but unconcious."
Jas yawns as she begins to head towards the basement. "Where the hell'd they go?" She begins to descend down the steps.
"Hey..." Kyle noticed something quickly. "Could you use your aura to try to calculate his pulse and such?"
"Sure, let me try." He closed his eyes again and started focussing. "...It seems he has a heart beat of...fifty beats per minute."
"Hmm..." Kyle thought about this. "We might not have to do anything right now. Check if it decreases or increases from time to time, as I don't want you to wear out. If it decreases, then we'll have to take another look at the spot the virus was at first. If it increases, we should just wait until he becomes concious."
"Okay then." Matt said continuing to monitor Jake's heartbeat. "Say, maybe this has something to do with removing the virus."
"I believed so, as well," Kyle said, coughing again. "I also have another theory, however. Perhaps removing the virus caused an unnatural balance with his systems. On the other hand, the virus could have already multiplied, and taking one of the viruses out caused them to multiply even faster."
"And so...what should we do?" Matt asked.
Kyle coughed again, getting agitated. "I don't have all the answers. I know you look to me, and think I should, as I'm trying to spearhead this experiment. But I can't do everything! I can't think this quickly!" He banged his hands on the desk. "Dammit! Why can't I be better at this?! People are going to die because I can't do this fast enough..." He began to cough again.
"Woah, just calm down." Matt said walking over to him. "It's not your fault. I'm sure that Jake will come around." that cough of his seems to be getting pretty bad.
Kyle continued to cough, this time more violently then before. He covered his mouth with his gloved hand, trying to prevent it from spreading. He finally stopped after awhile, and sat down his chair. He then looked at his hand, and saw the blood he had coughed up. His blood. He took off the gloves on his hands, and threw them away. "How much longer can I keep this up?"
"Listen, you're getting tired." Matt said hoping to comfort him. "I think you need to take a break from finding a cure for this disease. Rome wasn't built in a day!"
"I know that," Kyle said, rubbing his head. "But the antidote needs to be! Everyone is going to leave tomorrow, Matt. I have to find the cure before that happens, otherwise I'll have nowhere to conduct my research. It's now or never. I have to find the cure at all costs."

Jake's eyes flickered and he was breathing rapidly as he dreamed. But as his dream ended, his breathing slowed to normal and his eyes opened. "Wha?" he croaked. "What happened?"
Spike drank his milk as he sat down at one of the tables.
"Why am I so low on everything? I should be engaged in all the activity around here, but I'm just down here...drinking milk."
"Well...There's still gotta be something we could do after tomorrow." Matt said turning toward Jake. "Jake! Your back!" He said going over to him. "Are you okay?"
Karizo was just laying there on the basement floor, still unconscious from the chemicals from whoever had used them. He began to slip back into dream like he had earlier.
Karizo was underwater again, like he was before he awoke previously. But something was different. He was actually breathing underwater. Finding it odd, he looked around to see if the Suicune was there again. Karizo saw noting but deep blue.
'I know some of them came down here...' Jas continues wandering into the basement, electricity forming around her hands in case she's attacked.
Seeing that he could breath underwater now, Karizo decided to swim down farther to see if anything was down there. As he went, he found a large underwater cave. Wondering what lay within, he swam in. Going up, he then surfaced to find a cave. It was very dark, but some of the light from the ocean let the cave fill with a bit of blue.
"I feel fine... Just tired, I guess," Jake replied. "Er, did either of you hear a strange voice? No, nevermind. It was just a dream, I think I was sleeping." He looked around to see he was in the operation room again. "Did I get another operation?"
"No, you didn't get another operation." Matt said before pausing. "...er, you do know that you passed out, right?"
"Oh, I... Er, yeah, yeah, I knew that," Jake lied. "Why'd I pass out?"
"How should I know?" Matt said with a shrug. "So...what's that about a strange voice?"
"It was a voice... You didn't hear it? It was really loud, and it was echoing in my head... And then I woke up," Jake explained. "It said... Er, I can't remember what it said."
Lily went to the food-serving place at the hospital and ate a sandwich.

"Hm...In your head..." Matt thought for a moment. "Maybe this has to do with you being a Mew pokemorph."
"I'd like to think the voice was just a figment of my imagination..." Jake replied. "What time is it, don't we need a cure soon?"
"Well it's starting to get late." Matt said looking around to see if he can find a clock. "And to tell you the truth, I'm not sure that we can find a cure tonight."
"Maybe we can get the date extended," Jake offered. "Who is the person kicking us out of here, anyway?"
"Y'know...you do have a point there." Matt said with a smile. "So far we haven't seen anybody here that would try and kick us out."
Karizo began to climb out of the water and look around. The cave was filled with stalagmites and stalactites, and they were somewhat glittering. As he walked in deeper, the cave got larger and larger. Karizo wasn't sure what he would find next.
"Apparently the virus effects different Pokemorphs in different ways," Kyle observed. "Also, I wouldn't count on not being kicked out."
"Hm...I suppose then that we should plan about what we'll do tomorrow." Matt said. Actually, I pretty much know what I'm going to do tomorrow...
"Tomorrow is when we're supposed to leave, remember?" Kyle reminded Matt. "I'm going to have to work through the night, with or without electricity," He finished, coughing again. Wait... "That's it!" Kyle exclaimed. "Do you know where the central generator that powers the hospital is?"
"No...but I'm pretty sure we could find some sort of map of the hospital or something." Matt said. "I mean, all the doctors left, I'm sure they won't mind if we rummage around for a map."
"Let's return to the directory," Kyle said, standing up. "That's how I found this place." He began to walk in the direction he had come from.
Matt followed him.

Kyle found the directory where he had seen it first, and began scanning it for the generator. "Hmm... it should be in the basement floor."

"Well, it sure makes sense to put a generator, I suppose." ((Except for New Orleans where they put it in the basement while they're BELOW sea level. ::))) Matt said looking around in the dark with paranoia starting to set in again.
"Found it," Kyle said, and began to walk in its direction. "You okay?" He asked, noticing Matt acting slightly odd.
"Oh, um, yeah." Matt said. I'll just close my eyes and use the Aura so nobodoy can sneak up on me, yeah. And so he closed his eyes and used the Aura. "I'm fine now." He said much more confident now.
"That's good." Kyle walked down into the basement and saw Alex. "Hey, what are you doing down here?" He asked.
Jake had followed them quietly, still slightly dizzy though most of his strength returned. "Looks like this guy's trying to get the generator to start up, too," Jake pointed out. "What are you just standing around for?" he asked Alex. "We could have our lights back on a lot quicker if you were actually doing something."
The cave opened up even further. It was a spacious cavern with hundreds of stalactites, with a large lake in the middle, shimmering with an unknown light source. Karizo just stood there, amazed at the sight. Then, in the middle of the lake, Karizo saw a small speck of light. He began to walk towards it, but stopped at the lake shore. He could see it clearly. It looked like a small pearl, seemingly weightless on the water, glowing.
"I'm bored, I wonder if they have some form of entertainment here." Spike threw away his milk and came upon two people that were talking about something that involved a cure.
"What do you mean...a cure?"
"I am just waiting." Alex said quietly.
"...Waiting? Waiting for what?" Matt said snapping out of using the aura.
"For the lights maybe? Let's go deeper inside and get the lights on," Jake decided, manuevering around the other three. "We need these lights on-" Jake stopped, feeling emotions of deep dreaming or swimming. "Matt! Can you use your aura to see if anything else is down here?"
"Let me see." Matt closed his eyes again. "...It's Karizo!...But he's just laying there sleeping." Somehow, this can't be good.
Karizo could somehow feel something as he watched the small pearl. Like someone was watching him from a far off place. He then remembered about the person and the chemicals.
"How am I going to get out of here?" Karizo asked himself.
"Why don't you go over and wake him up?" Jake asked nervously. "After all, you can see the best in the dark out of us all."
"Well...I suppose you're right." darn it, why does he have to be right? He walked down nervously over to Karizo. "Karizo...hey, wake up." He said giving him a small shake.
Karizo could feel his shoulder being touched, but he was unable to exit from the cave. He was just waiting for the chemicals to stop so he could finally wake up.
As matt tried to wake up Karizo, the man that knocked karizo out in the first place, pushed passed the group by the stairs and out of the basement.
Matt turned back for a moment sensing someone's aura leaving. strange...somebody definitely left but all the people who I think were in here...are still in here. He then turned back toward Karizo. "Karizo! Wake up!" He said shaking him a bit harder.
From out of nowhere, Karizo remembered something. Jake was a Psychic type, so maybe...
"Jake! can you hear me?!" Karizo shouted as loud as he could."
Jake suddenly heard a voice calling out to him. "Oh no, the voice is back! Guys do you hea-" Jake stopped, realizing it sounded just like Karizo. Karizo? Karizo, how are you talking to me? You're asleep on the floor right by us!
"Look, I can't wake up! There was some guy down here, and he used chemicals one me!" Karizo started to explain. "You need to plug the generator back in, something fell on the cord earlier. Then, you need to get me upstairs, and fast!"
Kyle realized the person leaving the basement. "Hey," he muttered, following him out.
Alright, don't worry, we'll help you! Jake thought, determind to help now that he knew the problem. "Matt, can you find the unplugged cord and put it back in? And where's the doc going? We need one to help Karizo!" Jake ordered.

"Okay." He looked around and found the faint outline of the cord. "Ah, there it is." He plugged it in and the lights flickered back on. "Ah...now we can all see." He said walking back over to Karizo. "Hey...did Kyle leave?"
"Who's Kyle?"
As kyle followed the man, he would notice that all the door were open in the hallway leading to the surgury. when he would get to the surgury, he would find that the container holding the virus was gone and the man was nowhere to be found.
"Help me carry Karizo, and let's follow the doc," Jake decided, picking up a part of Karizo.
Spike decided to greet the new victims, which one of them was called Jake.
"Hey, I'm Spike." Holding out a hand, Spike waited.
"Hi, I'm Jake," he greeted. He slung Karizo over his shoulder before taking Spike's hand.
"Hey, careful, I kinda felt that!" Karizo shouted to Jake as he twinged a bit.
"And I'm Matt." He said feeling he should introduce himself.
Good, it means you're body's nerves are still working, Jake thought back. "C'mon guys, if we can catch up to the doc we can get him to revive Karizo." Jake began following where Kyle went.
Matt, too, went in the direction that Kyle did. "Hey, maybe I should carry Karizo since I probably now have more physical strength being a pokemorph of a fighting type."
"That doesn't make me weak, plus, watch this," Jake responded, getting an idea. He used his psychic powers to make Karizo float gently in front of him. "See? That means no one has to carry him."
"Ah...okay." He said waving a hand between Karizo's floating body and Jake. "Yeah...Just don't drop him or anything."

Matt decided to run ahead of Jake and catch up to Kyle. "Hey Kyle, why'd you leave like that?"
"I... thought I saw a man leave the basement," Kyle explained, though he couldn't see anyone now. He coughed again.
"You, too?" Matt said. So...there must have been another person in that basement with us.
"What?" Jake asked, looking between the two of them as he brung up the rear. "Eh, nevermind. Hey, doc, could you check out Karizo? He says he was attacked or something, and can't wake up!" I wonder what got him into that state? Jake wondered nervously.
"Yeah, he won't wake up." Matt said grabbing Karizo and shaking him to demonstrate. "See?"
Kyle looked back, and saw Karizo. He then sighed. "We should bring him back to the lab," He said, heading back down the basement. "But first, I want a look at the generator..."
"Why's that?" He said letting go of Karizo forgetting he couldn't stand up for himself as he fell back to the floor. "Oh...opps, sorry!" He then walked over to Kyle. "Is there something you forgot?"
"I got bit by a Pikachu, right?" Kyle asked Matt. "If that's so, then maybe I inherited some of its traits. I might have the power to start the generator back up again; if only for a little bit. It's a stretch, but it just might work."
"Alright, that makes sense." Matt said thinking for a bit. "Yeah, wasn't that one girl...Jas bitten by an electric pokemon too?"
"Yes," Kyle said, looking at the generator. "And I believe that Alex boy was also bit by a Pikachu, if I'm not mistaken. It will be a whole lot easier to power this thing up with their help."
"Yeah...but you might as well get things started while you're here." He said with a little shrug.
Alex had been still sitting on the floor by the steps since the group came and took Karizo away. Upon hearing kyle talking to Matt, He said quietly, "I could probably do it by myself..."
"Hm? You really think so?" Matt said to him. Hm...I still wonder what's in that notebook of his...but I suppose now's not the time to ask. "Well...let's see you do it. I'm tired of using my Aura to see."
"I disagree," Kyle told Alex, coughing slightly afterwards. "Sorry, but you're pretty young. You can help, but you don't want to overexert yourself. I have enough on my hands as it is."
Alex looked at Kyle and smiled, although it would not be seen in the darkness. He then said, "I have been here for two weeks. Not much to do but eat, sleep, and practice."
Kyle turned away from the generator. "If that's the way you feel, then why don't you power it up yourself?" He quickly walked out of the basement, and began coughing again, harder than usual. Dammit, not another attack! He leaned against a wall, covering his coughs with his hand.
Karizo had felt a bit of pain after Matt had accidentally dropped him, but he was fine now. His thoughts were going back to the cave.
"Jeez... I wonder where this could be...?" Karizo asked himself as he just looked back over the water of the underground lake.
Spike felt a feeling of concern and spoke up to the one named Kyle,
"Dude, you alright?"
"Y'know...can one of you actually get to starting the generator again sometime this year?" Matt said holding himself shivering since it was getting later and darker.
"...I'm fine," Kyle said, walking back to his research center. When he got there, he was surprised - to say the least - to see the viruses missing. What..?! That man!! He concluded. The one in the basement! He must have taken them! He began to turn around when the room went upside down on him. "...What...?" He began to cough slightly, and then he fainted.
"Right." Alex said, before putting his hands on the generator. I hope this works...
"I'm going to keep an eye on Kyle guys." Spike followed the path that Kyle went into a lab.
"Hey, if your not feeling good, I can get-" Spike gasped as he saw Kyle unconscious on the floor.
"Oh my god, get the doctors!" Spike yelled.
Matt waited for Alex to restart the generator but then went to Spike when he heard him yell. "Doctors? I haven't seen any other than Ky-..." He then noticed Kyle who had fainted. "Two in one night? And he's basically the only doctor here!" Crap! What do we do now? I just hope Karizo and Kyle get back up soon.
Sparks could be seen moving along Alex's arms as he tried to get the generator running again. There was a look of concentration on his face as tried to power it up. The lights began to flicker and finally turned on as Alex got it running again. However, it was harder than Alex thought and he sat on the floor next to the generator, resting.
"You're joking right? Kyle's the only doctor?!" Spike cursed in his thoughts.
"Well maybe...we can heal him with a pokemon. I know they just don't keep humans here, they also have some pokemon, maybe a Chansey, Blissum, you know?"
"I hate to say but from the looks of this place, and from everywhere I've been in this hospital, I think that only the pokemorphs are here." Matt said.
"Dam!....Well what do you suggest? We can't wait for him to just...wake up."
"Well...do we really have any other choice?" Matt said. "Oh wait, Jake!" He said hopefully looking around and down the hallways trying to find him. "Where'd he go now?"
"Jake the...what pokemon is he supposed to be now?"
"Mew...you know, he's a psychic type." Matt said still looking around for him. "He can comunicate with other peoples' subconscience...Now if only I could find him!"
"A mew? Man, that's pretty rare."
"I know, and I thought I was lucky...in a sense, that I got bit by Lucario." Matt said starting to get a bit annoyd of the absence of Jake. "Darn it! Where is he?" He said clentching his fist and Aura bursting out of it.
"Whoa hold it there, watch where you are pointing that thing 'cause I don't want my face getting burned off or something."
"Oh whoops." he said as he stopped letting Aura burst out of him. "I suppose I got a little out of control there." he said with a nervous chuckle.
"Don't worry, you should see how my cousin does when he starts listening to 'Bulls On A Parade', he becomes stronger than Chuck Norris."
Matt gave a little laugh at this. "Well...It's starting to get late but we can't really go to bed right now since we've got two people unconscious."
Lily, for some reason humming a song about racism, decided to look around the hospital. She entered the area where Matt and Spike were and looked at the unconscious body of the doc. "What happened?" she asked.
"Well, I can bring sleeping bags so they can rest here with us and both of us can take shifts in case one of them is conscious again." Spike continued when he noticed Lily's figure standing in the doorway.
"Oh, well, Kyle fainted and we're trying to figure out how to revive him."
"Have you tried slapping him?" asked Lily. "Or dumping water on him?"
"....Lily...he fainted because he's sick, not from exhaustion or the feeling of being tired, so I don't think that will work but go ahead."
"Well...I suppose you never really know but I do doubt that doing so would help." Matt said then thinking back about Spike's earlier idea. "Yeah, I think we might have to work in shifts or something of that sort."
"If he's sick, find a healer! But can I slap him anyway?"
"Um...I think the term you're looking for is doctor and right now, he's the only one here." Matt said. "And by all means, go slap him but I had nothing to do with it."
"Yay!" said Lily and proceded to slap him as hard as she could, which was actually very hard.
Kyle remained in a state of unconciousness, his body unmoving. His spirit, however, was thriving. Blood pressure, regular. Pulse; 86. Yes... no signs of anything out of the ordinary. My coughing had nothing to do with it. A mix of stress and the virus, prehaps? Maybe the virus affects others in different ways... yes, that's probably it.
Karizo still sat there at the edge of the water, wondering when they would finally get to wake him up. Whoever had done this to him might have thought that he was a Pokemorph as well. But he wasn't. He just showed up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"But..." He began to think out loud to himself. "There might possibly be a reason why this is happening, and why this is happening at the time it is... A reason that isn't clear yet... Dang, I'm so confused..."
Kyle was lying down on a rocky surface. 'There's another presence here,' he thought. 'I wonder who it might be...'
"I'll go get the sleeping bags." Spike followed the lights back to his sleeping quarters and found a few bundled up, soft sleeping bags in white, blue, black, and red.
For some reason, Karizo could suddenly hear what sounded like breathing back behind him. He turned around and saw what appeared to be a figure laying on the ground a ways back toward where he had come up through the underwater cave. The light from the lake couldn't quite reach that far back.
"Hey... Is anyone back there?" Karrzo shouted to see where it really was a person or not.
"Ah, hello," Kyle said, still lying down. He could hear the presence come closer, but he still couldn't see, or feel most of his body.
"Ok, the black sleeping bag is mine, so somebody take one and place Kyle on it so he doesn't have a headache." Spike said after coming back with the bundles. He laid one down and got in it.
"So who's taking the first watch?"
Karizo was walking towards him, and as he got closer, he could see that it was indeed a person. He ran over to see who exactly it was, and then he realized that it was the doctor from earlier.
"Whoa, hey, are you all right?" Karizo asked hastily as he then ran over and bent down next to him.
Jake popped up where the others where, food in his hands. "I was gettin' some food, I just figured we'd get hungry during the op-" he stopped and looked at the unconcious doctor. "Oh no... That can't be good." Wait... I'm picking up a feed from them... His mind slowly drifted, and he got a clear vision of the two at the cave. He was there as well, but only as a blur of his image.
Karizo looked up and saw him.
"Jake?" Karizo said a bit confused. "What's going on out there? The doctor just showed up here, and I don't know why."
"He fainted, I think," Jake replied. "I left for a second, and then all this happened! It looks like the virus is worse than any of us could have imagined..."
Matt saw that Jake had entered. "Jake! I'm so glad to see you. I was hoping you could talk to-..." He then noticed that Jake was already talking to Karizo. "Ah, nevermind then."
"My question has not been answered!"
"Oh, right. I suppose I'll take the first shift." Matt said. "I normally stay up late anyways."
"I can't feel my body," Kyle responded. "But other than that, I'm fine. No worries, or stress... I kind of like it here."
"Really? Hmm..." Karizo said as he looked back towards the lake. "Well, the thing is that this is the second dream that I've had... The first was me standing on the surface of lots of water, and I wound up submerged by some giant storm... This one, I was under the water again, and I swam down here... This entire cave is underwater, and there's a lake up ahead... The thing is that there's some sort of weird glowing pearl in the center of it..."
"Try touching the pearl," Jake suggested. "Maybe it will help clarify the situation."
Karizo just looked back at the pearl.
"Either that... Or..." Karizo said as he began to think. He got back up, and Karizo began to walk back towards the lake. He stopped at the edge of the water again and thought some more. Finally, Karizo began to walk again, but he was walking on the surface of the water. As he came closer to the middle of the lake, he kept his eye on the strange pearl. When he bent down towards it, he suddenly got the feeling that he did when he had seen the Suicune in the previous dream. He paused, but then immediately continued to reach until one finger touched it. One word reverberated through the whole cave.
"Cure..."
Without warning, Karizo suddenly vanished.
Karizo surprisingly shot up from where he was laying with a shout. He had finally woken up, his breath panicked.
Spike was about to fall asleep when he heard a sharp intake of breath from the other room. He walked out and found the other guy that was unconscious sitting up, awake.
"Hey guys! Karizo's back!"
"Huh? Oh good." Matt said waking up from being half asleep. "So now that means there's only Kyle to worry about."
"I was just talking with him and Jake while I was under..." Karizo began. "It seems that Kyle can't feel his body."
Jake pulled himself out as Karizo woke up. 'I'll have to check up on the doc later... First things first.' Jake walked over to Karizo. "You okay, man? Did you hear what that pearl thing said? 'Cure'. Wonder what it means..." 'The answer couldn't be in the pearl could it? Maybe... Maybe we need to find that location in real life, not just in a dream, and find the real pearl. Maybe that's the answer.'
"Pearl? Cure?...What?" Matt said completely confused.
"Well, while I was in that dream..." Karizo started to explain. "We were in this large underwater cave with a lake and this weird glowing pearl just floating in the center. When I touched it, it just said 'Cure...'"
"Hm...I see." Hm...underwater cave. Matt stood there thinking for a while. "...Cure...Well, maybe we should try and find it. I have a feeling that if Team Magma or Aqua knew about this pearl, they'd try and get it."
"I was beginning to think the same thing..." Karizo mentioned. "Well, we can't do anything tonight... And I need to head back to Fortree to see if everything is still all right tomorrow... I'm worried about my mother and my sister."
"Oh yeah, I said I was going to come with you, didn't I?" Matt said. "And if I wasn't, I might as well go with you since I'll be headed toward Mt. Pyre first thing in the morning tomorrow."
Alex stood up, A little unsteady on his feet. He managed with some difficulty to make his way up the stairs and out of the basement.
Matt saw Alex coming out of the basement. "Ah, hello." He said. "Hey, I have a question. Did you see a guy leave the basement before anybody else did?"
"It was dark. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face."
"Ah, right." Matt said. So that one mysterious guy is still wandering around this place...Great, now I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing that there's some psycho wandering around here.
Alex sat down and yawned. "So, what are we going to do in the morning?"
"Well...I'm going to be leaving with Karizo to go to Fortree." Matt said.
"Er," muttered Lily nervously. "Mind if I come? I wanna go back to Mauville, and that way I don't have to go the whole way by myself."
"I'll go to. i have nothing better to do."
Kyle remained unconcious, abandoned. I wonder when I'll wake up...
"I'll come, too," Jake piped up. "I've got no where to go, might as well be traveling with company." Then he refocused his attention on the doctor.
Jake reappeared at the cave, standing by Kyle. "If you can talk, doc, why don't you tell me what I need to do to help you? You can direct me on how to do whatever needs to be done to get you better. You're the most important part of getting the virus out of us, you know!"
"Wow...It looks like we'll all be traveling in a group then." Matt said giving a little chuckle.
"Well, if we are going in the morning then we should rest, right?"
"Apparently not," Kyle told Jake, lying down still. "I don't think that's what Arceus has in mind. My time is running short, and I know I'll do whatever I can to find a cure. But I don't think it's all up to me. We all have our part in this."
"All right then..." Karizo started. "Also like I mentioned earlier, there's going to be a higher population density of Pokemon along the route that I came, so we might have to take the long way around. That will take us right by Mount Pyre, and it will also be a faster route to Mauville for Lily."
"Let's worry about our parts in this later... First thing first, how to get you better?" Jake asked, not sure at all how to help him.
"Hey, Jake. Could you ask Kyle if he'll be okay overnight?" He said yawning in the middle of the sentence. "I'm starting to get tired."
The image of Jake became blury for a couple of moments as he listened to Matt.
Jake nodded at Matt and turned his attention back at Kyle.
"You okay with staying here overnight? Everyone's startin' to get tired," Jake relayed the message to him. "I'll stick around with you for as long as I can, though."
"Hey! I can stay with him, it's no big deal. I'm in no rush, I actually like it here." Better here then being chased out by angry mobs and poachers...
"Yeah...I would probably stay here too but..." Matt looked around as if expecting somebody to be watching him from behind. "They want us out by tomorrow morning."
"Who are 'they'?" asked Lily. "I haven't seen any doctors or staff here at all."
"Yeah...that's what I was thinking...but..." There's still that one guy who knocked out Karizo. I know he left the room when it was dark. He must still be here in this hospital.
"I wish we had more time." Alex said, messing with his notebook.
"But what?" urged Lily.
"Um...nothing. I think it would just be better for us to leave in the morning." Matt said.
"Probably," said Lily.
"Okay guys, just get rest, I'll take the entire shift tonight. Just tell me where's the coffee and cafineted drinks are and there's nothing to it."
"I'd say it's probably somewhere in the caffeteria." Matt said as he turned to leave to go back to where he first woke up.
"Ok, watch Kyle for me." Spike hurried down to the cafetiria and looked inside the ice box.
"Hmm...a few cokes and Dr. Peppers... along with two Mountain Dews... perfect. Maybe also a frappuciono. Maybe the guys will like chocolate milk." He filled a whole bag when then he heard footsteps clanging against the metal floor. Spike spun around.
"Guys? Nows not the time to pull a practical joke man, I got drinks, and I won't give them to you if you try try to pull anything funny." Spike walked out and headed back.
Weird...
Matt stopped as Spike ran out. "Okay...I suppose I can wait just a little longer before I go to bed then..."
"Kay, I'm back. A little spooky things were down there but hey, for those that are not staying up, I brought chocolate milk, with mini marshmallows. I believe there's a microwave in my room, which is across the hall." Spike concluded, tossing everybody a 'Belgium Chocolate' pack with mini marshmallows inside.
"Alright, thanks." Matt said catching the bag and began walking toward his room.
"Don't dare messing with the electric cords though! just plug the microwave in the wall by my bed. It took me years to set up my Mac Computer, my Wii, my plasma tv, and my PS2." Spike warned.
"Alright...but I think there was a microwave in my room so it'd just be easier there." He said as he turned down the hallway and went toward his own room.
Kyle slowly opened his eyes, concious again. He rubbed his light brown hair that sat above his head. "...What happened? I feel like I've been hit by a truck that crashed into a cave by the S.S. Anne."
Matt heard Harver using his recently aquired Lucario ears and ran back to the room. "Ah! Harver, you're back! You sort of blacked out after all that coughing."
Jake nodded in agreement. "Yeah, then you appeared in that cave place... Do you remember it?" Jake asked him.

He stood up slowly, trying to regain his regular heartbeat. "I remember that dream, vaguely. Where we were, though, I don't really know."

"Some cave," Jake shrugged. "You couldn't move, thank god you can move now. Do you need any meds or something? I could run and grab you stuff."
"I'm fine," Kyle said, leaning against a wall for support. "A little coffee wouldn't hurt, though. I still intend to find the cure before the night is over, with or without the virus."
"Hm... That pearl that we saw in the cave... It said 'cure' when Karizo touched it," Jake reminded him. "Maybe the cure lies in water? Or in a cave? Or in a pearl?"
"Here's some hot chocolate." Spike said, tossing Kyle another cocoa pack.
Kyle caught the pack, but set it down beside him. "I said coffee, but thanks anyway." He turned his attention back to Jake. "I don't remember anything about a pearl, but that may be useful information. This could not be an ordinary dream."
"No... I don't think so either," Jake agreed. "Maybe Karizo'll have a clue where we were. I didn't recognize it, but it was Karizo's dream initially, so he may have an idea."
((Erm... I'm still standing here in the room, so why are you talking as if I'm not? XD))

"Well...aren't there some underwater caves in the ocean to the east of Lilycove?" Matt thought out loud.
"That's right..." Karizo remembered. "But there would be no way to get down there without either a submarine or a Pokemon with Dive..."
"Yeah...And I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't want to lend a submarine to some pokemorphes." Matt stated. "I wonder if a pokemorph could use Dive...But let's worry about that latter. First we need to get some sleep and then leave tomorrow."
"Right... I was on the couch earlier, so I'll head back to the lobby..." Karizo said ash he began to walk for the door. He raised one hand as he left. "G'night..."
"Yeah, I suppose it's time that we all went to sleep now." Matt said as he too walked out of the room and walked to where he first woke up.
"Yeah, I should get back on trying to find a cure, anyway," Kyle stated. "As much as I thought the dream was a sign, it was a dream nonetheless. I don't want to rely on the dream to find a cure for us." Still... there's something weird about that dream. Why couldn't I move?

(Yes) "Well, good night, I guess." Alex said before getting up to go to his room.

Matt heard Alex before getting to his room and turned around. "Good night to you too." He then got to his room and went to the bed and fell on it and not long after, he was asleep.
Karizo got back to the lobby, where he went over to the couch and laid down on it. Hopefully, there wouldn't be anymore of those dreams tonight. he slowly closed his eyes, and he was asleep.
Alex laid down on his bed and closed his eyes, wonder what was going to happen tomorrow.
Jake settle down in the extra bed Matt lent him, but couldn't fall asleep for a long while. Finally, he forced his mind to shut up and closed his eyes. Soon, he was asleep.
((Time-skip to morning!))
Alex opened his eyes and sat up. He got out of bed and looked out the window. At least there isn't an angry mob yet. Getting dressed and collecting his things, Alex left his room and headed to the lobby. He only stopped once to wake Jake and Matt in the form of a loud knock on their door.
Matt woke up to the knock on the door. "Alright...Todoy's going to be the first day of the rest of my life." He said as he clothed himself to conceal his Lucario features the best he could.
Jake got up and yawned, scratching his ears after the loud knocking. "We're up..." he groaned, wishing he could of had an extra hour or two. He got ready for the day, wearing a white shirt, black jacket, and jeans with some worn sneakers. He put on his sunglasses to hide the intense staring he accidentally did to read people's thoughts and emotions. His tail was bulging out of his pants, which he tried his hardest to hide and stuff inside.
"Does this tail make my ass look big?" he asked Matt.
"Ah...erm...It's..." Matt tried to think of a way to put it. "I think it'd be less noticable if you put it up your shirt. That's what I did."
'All right," Jake replied and flattened his tail against his back underneath his shirt. "I guess it'll have to do."
"Yeah...I suppose I'm going to go get a head start to Mt. Pyre to grab my camera." Matt started as he went towards the door before turning back. "Want to come with me?"
"Yeah, sure," Jake replied with a grin. "But shouldn't we wait for the others? Didn't we agree to go together?" he added questioningly, wondering what could happen to the others in the time they'd leave.
"Well...I really want my camera back! I got that one picture of Lucario and I have a feeling that it'll be really good." Matt said putting his hand on the door knob.
Jake shrugged. "All right, let's go. No point in waking everyone else up, anyway. They'll probably want to stay and try and get cured or whatever." I have the feeling the cure isn't here, anyway...
"Yeah." Matt openned the door and walked toward the nearest exit to the hospital.
Jake followed him, checking to see if anyone else was awake as he passed. "The only thing I never got to find out was what was in Alex's book," Jake sighed, still wondering about it.
"Meh, let's worry about that later." Matt said pushing on the exit door and walking outside. "I just want my camera right now."
"How long has it been gone?" Jake asked. "It would suck if it was destroyed or taken..." He walked outside, into the sunshine. "Wow... It feels nice to be outside again."
"I was bitten yesterday so I doubt somebody took it." Matt said basking in the sun. "And it is nice to be outside." He then started walking toward Lilycove but stayed on the outskirts of the town heading toward Mt. Pyre.
More like something, Jake thought to himself, but decided to just bask in the sunshine then worry about that sort of stuff. "Being a morph can't be so bad," he murmured.
"Yeah, that's what I keep saying to myself." Matt said. "I wonder if one of the towns will fully accept a morph...But anyways, let's not talk about this. We don't want anybody to hear."
Jake took an uneasy glance around, not spotting anyone. "Yeah, let's talk about something unsuspicious..." Something to throw anyone who might be listening off track... But what?
"I really hope that my camera's there...But I'm more excited to see if my picture is still there." Matt said after thinking of something. "What pictures of rare pokemon have you grabbed?"
"Alright guys, I'm going to scout out this place more." Spike wanted to find out where the location of the mysterious being was.
Yeah right. Spike retorted back at his conscious.
"Hm... Lemme think... Mew, Zapdos, Arcunia, Kyogre, Entei, Raiku, and that's about all I can remember at the moment," Jake listed. "I may have a few lesser legendary, and probably a few more that I can't think of at the mo'."
"Okay, now-" WHAM! A brick flew out of the wall and hit Spike square in the chest.
"Boof! Bah...oye...."Spike fainted.
"Hm...well, I'm only allowed to travel to areas near Lilycove and Mt. Pyre so I've only got those local pokemon...and Lucario." Matt added at the end as Mt. Pyre came into view.
"Ah," Jake commented. "I'm a free spirit, travelling everywhere. The downside to that is I don't have an official home. And it looks like we're here," he added as they came close to Mt. Pyre.
Spike was on a rocky floor, lying down in a beaten way. He stood up and saw a dark lake.
Oh dam! Now I'm half-dead too! Suddenly, he saw a pearl, matching the ones that Karizo and Jake described.
Now I know they weren't crazy...maybe I can touch it. Spike reached out to it, but he more he reached, the farther it went.

"Yeah. This was always one of my favorite places to go when I wanted to go somewhere. I've always been facinated with ghost pokemon." Matt said as he walked toward the main path.
((Well...this underwater cave seems like a pretty popular place to visit in the sub-conscience. :P))
"Too bad you didn't get biten by one, then," Jake replied. "At least you would have been able to be your favorite type."
"Well...I gotta say though, I've found it pretty awesome to be part Lucario so far." Matt said just then remembering that he had little flames of Aura around his hands which he quickly put into his pockets as they started up the mountain path.
Kyle leaned over his desk, many papers scattered across it. His eyes were bloodshot. He leaned back in his chair slightly as he took a sip of coffee. Twenty-two hours awake straight... I think I may be on to something here. He picked up one of the papers with the hand that wasn't holding his coffee. The virus seemed to retract whenever I leaned over it, or put my hand on the top of the lid. This must mean that it doesn't appreciate the outside of human bodies, or it's claustrophobic.
He set his coffee down, and layed his head on the desk, burying it with his hands. But if it is claustrophobic, then why did it locate itself inside the human body? Perhaps that area would be the only place for it survive, as well as thrive...? Perhaps.
Karizo's eyes slowly opened as the light finally woke him up. He suddenly noticed that he was on the floor.
"Whoops..." Karizo began as he got up off the ground. "Must've rolled off the couch in my sleep..." He saw that Matt and Jake were already outside the door. Thinking that they were ready to go, Karizo went to the door and walked out next to them.
"Hey..." Karizo greeted them.
(( We're actually at Mt. Pyre by now. If Karizo hurries he can probably catch up to us. ))
"Same with being a Mew," Jake replied. "All this psychic stuff rocks. I think I might open up one of those mind reading businesses or something and become rich!"

"Hmm... They must've left for Mount Pyre already... I need to catch up with them..." Karizo thought to himself as he quickly began to sprint towards the exit of town. He could run pretty fast, so it probably wouldn't take all too long to get there.
"Yeah, but you'd have to wear some large clothes so nobody could see that you were a morph." Matt said as they continued up the mountain. "Look around for a cave. I'm pretty sure it was around here."
After a while, Karizo had finally made it to Mount Pyre. He looked up at the large mountain, the gray clouds swirling around its peak, shrouding it in near invisibility.
"I've never actually gotten this close..." Karizo said as he kept looking at it in slight awe. Deciding to look for Jake and Matt, he continued to head closer to the mountain.
Jake sensed a familiar presence near by. "Do you sense that? I think it's Karizo!" Jake informed Matt. He looked a bit farther down the mountain to see if he could spot him.
Matt looked but couldn't see past the fog that always surrounded Mt. Pyre so he closed his eyes and used the Aura. "Yeah...I think that's him."
Karizo could see faint outlines of two figures.
"Hey!" Karizo shouted up to them while waving his hand in the air.
Matt could recognize the voice. "Hey Karizo!" He shouted back.
"Yo, Karizo!" Jake shouted his greeting. "Come on up, we'll wait for you!"
Karizo ran up the mountain path until he had caught up with the two.
"Jeez, finally caught up to you..." Karizo said, just a bit out of breath.
"Yeah...so...I'm pretty sure that cave is around here somewhere." Matt said eagerly wanting his camera back.
Karizo looked around a moment, and then far off, he thought he could see the shadow of a cave.
"Say, is that the cave?" Karizo asked as he pointed.
Jake had never been inside Mt. Pyre, so he wasn't sure. But he shrugged and said, "It must be, I don't see any other entrances. Let's go."
"I think that might be it." Matt said walking toward the cave.
"Say, after we get your camera, we might want to wait for the others for a bit..." Karizo mentioned as he followed after Matt.
"Yeah. I suppose we should." Matt said as he walked into the cave. Man...this place sends shivers down my spine after what happened.
Karizo's eyes adjusted, and he thought he saw the glint of a lens.
"I think it might be over there." Karizo said as he pointed at it.
"Ah! Yes it is." He picked up the camera which was the kind of bulky camera that would print the picture soon after somebody would take it. He then felt the ground near the camera for the photo. "Ah, and here's the phot...Wait..." He moved his fingers around and found a second one. "I only remember taking one..." He then started heading outside to the light to take a look.
Karizo followed him out to see what he was confused about. He saw that Matt had two pictures.
"Well...the first one definitely looks like the one I remember taking." He said taking a look at the Lucario in the picture. "He was facing the camera so...I got a pretty good picture." He took a look at the second picture. Most of it was obscured by Lucario's head and Matt's upper arm. "Wait...my upper arm's in this one...I must have accidentally snapped a shot when he attacked me."
"Yeah, those things sometimes happen..." Karizo mentioned as he was looking at the picture as well.
Matt nodded as he continued to look at the picture. "I don't know why...but his eye...Something about how they look is bugging me..."
Karizo looked at the Lucario's eyes a bit more closely.
"Wait..." Karizo said as he knew what it was. "His irises are a really vibrant red... And I mean really vibrant red... ...... Just like the Suicune I saw in my first dream..."
"Yeah! That's it! That's what's been bothering me." Matt said. "I think it's safe to assume this has something to do with the virus..."
"Exactly." Karizo agreed with Matt. "So we don't have to avoid all the Pokemon along the way, just the ones with abnormally red eyes..."
"That makes this a lot easier." Matt said putting the photos in his pocket and taking a strap and using it to carry his camera around the neck. "And if we have to wait for the others, we should head back now."
"That's probably a good idea..." Karizo said as he looked down the mountain.
"Wait...just to make sure that there is a difference between infected pokemon and other pokemon..." Matt grabbed his camera and looked around. "Let's see if we can find some pokemon."
Karizo looked around. From a patch of grass, he could see a Vulpix walk out. It's eyes were normal.
"That Vulpix over there, it's eyes aren't all red." Karizo said as he pointed over to the Vulpix.
"Alright." Matt snapped a picture of it and then walked up to it. "Well...It doesn't seem violent so I guess it doesn't have a virus." He said as he grabbed the developing picture.
"Yeah... "Karizo said as he followed him. "I think we should head back for the others now."
"Okay...well...I may want to walk around in Lilycove for a while..." Matt said.I might want to check in with...them before I leave.
"And I'll get some supplies for the trip."Karizo started. "It's going to take a while to get to Fortree the long way around."
"Yeah...It'd be too dangerous with the stronger wild pokemon the other way. And even more dangerous with the viru-" Before he could finish, a different vulpix jumped out of the bushes with its eyes a deep red. "Gah!" Matt snapped a shot off of instinct of taking photos. "Look out!"
Karizo knew that no matter what, his white flute would keep Pokemon away. He instantly took it out, and began to play a very fast tune that hardly anyone could keep up with.
The Vulpix was about to attack. But the sound from the flute seemed to make it feel uncomfortable and it fled. "Ow! What is that noise?" Matt said holding his hands over his ears as he backed away from Karizo. "I can't stand it!"
Karizo immediately stopped playing.
"Oh, whoops..." Karizo said as he remembered that he was sort of a Pokemon as well. "That was my white flute... It keep away wild Pokemon."
"And apparently pokemorphs too!" Matt said shaking his head. "Don't worry about that virus. I'll make sure you'll get back safe."
"Thanks." Karizo said as he began to head down the mountain.
"No problem." Matt said as he continued down the mountain also.
Jake followed quietly behind, his lack of sleep was beginning to catch up with him.
"Hey Jake, you've seen sort of quiet lately." Matt said.
"Huh? Oh, just tired, I guess," Jake mumbled, stifling a yawn. "I didn't get too much sleep last night..."
"Hm..." Matt continued on as Lilycove came into view and his stomach grumbled. "I'm starting to get hungry now..."
"I don't think we should just walk into a shop and try eating," Jake said. "I mean... What if someone notices?"
"Well..." Matt started as he tried his best to hide his ears and tail under his hat and shirt the best he could. "Tell me the truth. Do you think I could fool people like this?"
"You might be able to fool them for a bit," Jake started, "but... It would definitely raise suspicion. Plus, if you're not careful you could easily give yourself away."
"Oh come on! I'm soooo hungry right now." Matt said holding his stomach. "I want food."
Jake grinded his teeth, watching the town and listen to his own stomach growl. He sighed, "Alright... Let's go... But don't say I didn't warn you when something bad happens." Jake re-adjusted his tail so it was less noticeable before walking slowly and cautiously into town.
Matt walked alongside Jake and put his hands into his pockets so the Aura comming from it was less notable. "Hey..." Matt whispered to Jake. "If you're psychic...do you think you could implant thoughts into other people's minds." Matt said looking around glad to see nobody was taking suspicion. "Y'know...If things start getting bad."
Jake gave Matt a sideways glance, rolling the idea over in his mind. 'I'm new to this power, and I've never tried that before...' he thought, wondering if he could actually do that. 'I was able to enter people's dreams...' "I could try," Jake finally said. "But I can't make any promises." 'Maybe I could practice...?' "Er, do you have any idea how I could do that? Maybe, just stare at someone and enter their mind and manipulate their thoughts?"
"I dunno. I'm hardly sure about my own powers." Matt said. "The only thing I know I can do for sure is sense Aura. I've used it before and it can do physical damage but...I don't exactly know how I use it...I've only figured out how to sense it..."
"Hm... Lemme try it. What should I have someone do?" Jake asked, trying to think of something that wouldn't be too suspicious, but would be obvious enough to show that he did it.
"Um...get someone to toss a nickel or something on the ground." Matt said. "It's not something somebody would normally do but not too many people should take notice to just five cense."
"Alright..." Jake found a man leaning against a fountain and decided to make him his target. 'Enter his thoughts... Enter his thoughts...' Jake thought he heard whispering, and he narrowed his eyes, trying to strain his ears and listen. Maybe no one will notice if I just scoop my hand in and take some of the change inside? Maybe no one will mind? Jake blinked, breaking the chain. 'Those weren't my thoughts... Were they?' Jake tried again, this time he was able to get a clearer wrap around the man's thoughts. Just do it... Jake commanded. No one cares what you do anyway. They are too wrapped up in their own problems... The man suddenly reached his hand back and picked some coins out of the water.
"It worked!" Jake whispered his victory. "Did you see that man take money out of the fountain?"
"Sweet...although it's not right to steal...But it works!" Matt said excitedly but still containing his voice. "Alright, now let's find us some place to eat now."
"Eh, if he has any morals he'll put the money back," Jake shrugged. "As for food..." Jake glanced around town. "This town is unfamiliar to me, do you know of anywhere to eat?"
"Hrm...Well...This is sort of embarasing but..." Matt started rubbing the back of his head. "I've only eaten at my school and my house..."
"Wha, you never ate out?" Jake asked. "Doesn't school and home food ever get boring?"
"Well, school yeah but my mom has the BEST cooking you'll ever taste." Matt said.
Jake raised an eyebrow and looked over at Matt. "Could we eat there, then?" he asked. "You're parents are around here, right?"
"Well...yeah but..." Matt just stopped mid-sentence. What if they find out I'm a pokemorph?...What will they think? Will they even accept me? "No...They're not around here." Matt said with an almost emotionless face.
"But didn't you just- Eh, nevermind," Jake sighed. "If they're not around, I guess we should just check for a small, less populated place to eat before we're noticed."
"Alright." Matt said as he looked around.
When Alex got to the lobby, he noticed that Karizo was gone. He figured that he left before Alex had awoke, so, Alex headed to the cafeteria to get some food. He grabbed two apples and put a small bread roll in a plastic bag, before putting every thing in his backpack.
"What about that little place there?" Jake asked, pointing to a small shack that seemed to be a reclusive pub. "Seems like only a couple guys are in there, drinking..." 'Which means the food probably sucks, though...'
"Hm...I dunno. It's a pub...Do you see a cafe or something? Those are usually smaller." Matt said.
"Can't your aura help us look?" Jake asked, then added, "Oh, I see a small Cafe at the other end of town... It's called Starcove's. Do you think it'll be any good?"
Karizo was just following them the whole time, but now he thought he might help out a bit.
"Say, I could probably head in there and get the food for you guys..." Karizo mentioned.
"Well...I'm feeling really confident right now and I don't see a sign that says take-out anywhere on the cafe..." Matt pointed out.
"Well, all right..." Karizo said a bit wearily. Huts try to get out of there as fast as possible, so no-one sees you..."
"Don't worry, we'll grab something quick like a burger and leave after eating it." Matt said walking towards the cafe looking back to see if the other two would follow.

Spike was trying grasp the pearl that was floating in front of him, but everytime he lunged for it, it seemed to dodge the attack and move to another place.
Come back here! Don't leave me!
Finally, he caught the pearl in his hands and he shouted,
Yes, I finally got-Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaa!
Spike was spinning and spinning in the air until he vanished, and the next thing he knew, he was falling in the sky, heading downwards on Karizo.
Jake began to follow but then shouted, "Karizo watch out!" He could sense something was about to fall on top of him.
Karizo looked up quickly and saw Spike falling down towards him. Unfortunately, he couldn't move fast enough, and Spike landed right on top of Karizo.
"...Ugh...Oh Karizo!" Spike scrambled off and tried to help Karizo up.
"Sorry about that! I was unconscious like you guys and there was this pearl, and I was trying to touch it and I got it and the next thing I knew, I was spinning and falling towards you!"
((not to mention the guy that knocked me out, I wonder if anyone will ask me why I was unconscious hint hint ;D ;D ))
