But based on what people say about it, it's about a guy who helps a bunch of high school girls with their problems.

I know it was Kyoto Animation's latest project (the same ppl who made LS and Haruhi) and that it had something to do with Irish tradition.  My friend said it was good...but the art style made me hesitate.

The scenario writer of the original game is Irish.

Clannad means clan/family in Irish.
