im Manitoba here it gets down to -40 celcius a few times per winter, but it's consistently hot in the summer (we've already had a week or two of 20+ days).

I know, Alberta hits from -50 to +50 in a six month timeframe.

i think we hit -50 this year.  we never get to +50 though.
