He just worded it wrong.

But that would never happen since Nintendo has to give permission to Microsoft to put games that were once on their platforms on XBLA, which they never do.

It's a shame, we were very close to getting every game Rare made on the VC in exchange for a remade Goldeneye 007 on XBLA. Everyone on both sides agreed to it, except for Iwata who couldn't understand why a game originally from a Nintendo platform would ever be on another one. :|

Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are both coming out on Xbox Live, complete with Stop-and-Swop to unlock things in Nuts and Bolts.
