I'm curious, plus 5 points.

Personally, I'll get Soul Silver because I had Gold and Crystal as a child but never got Silver, so I'll get what I missed.

There wouldn't be a Crystal remake version, seeing how both games will have parts of Crystal in them.

I'm getting Soul Silver, because it's closer in color to Crystal.

Soul Silver. I usually pick the one most don't.

I like Lugia more than Ho-oh and Groudon more than Kyogre.  I'm probably getting Soul Silver.

Why is Ho-oh the rainbow Pokemon, and yet it's a fire type?

I'm not sure yet, I'll probably just flip a coin to decide

Heh. Diamond, Pearl, Heart, Soul, Gold, Silver. They're all pretty girly names. Diamond and SoulSilver are pretty much the slightly less feminine one. Quite a few people might pick SoulSilver for just that reason, idk. Diamond also had being the first game of the pair to its advantage, so we'll see.

If I do import a Japanese game, which I think I probably will, I'll go with SoulSilver for that. Because I'm a silly weeaboo who actually thinks playing Japanese games will make it easier for me to learn Japanese language.

A pretty large amount of the people who will buy the games are younger kids.

At least in my experience, little boys tend to care more about something like a game's name being girly and containing "Heart", so I would expect it to apply more to them than the older fans. After all, most of the older fans already gave up the ability to abandon the games for being too childish <3

Well I'm not buying it on release day so I'll have time to figure out which will be more popular. I still think HG will be though.

SoulSilver, it's what I had as a child.  If I get a job, I'll get a DSi and HeartGold.

I had gold as a kid, but now i wanna get SS to see the different storyline. also, i like Lugia over ho-oh, maybe because of its typing :P

Man, I got soul, and I need a game to reflect that goddangit. I don't lay down funky basslines because of my technicality, I want my game to say "This crazy motherintercourse er, has soul and dangit HE'S GONNA SHOW YOU SOME".


Also I had Silver as a kid and loved it.
