Title: What is the oldest item in your house?
Post by: Tupin on October 04, 2008, 06:53:45 PM
Mine would be a book about navigation from 1943, my grandpa gave it to me. I also have a camera from 1963, and I just figured out that a store near me still has flash bulbs and its film.  =D

What about you?

Does my house itself count? If it does, it that. Built in 1883, and never redone. The only thing that's new is the paint. XD

If not, probably my mom's china cabinet. Some of the stuff it contains is from 70 or so years ago.

Last I checked, it was a confederate pistol. Although I've got some books from the 1900s that are catching up with it real fast.

I think probably this wooden horse barn that my grandpa made for my mom. I think it's from the 50s, at least. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. D:

The Deed to Crilly's Cabins, my Great Grandpa's place.

Lots of memories there.

Not the real deed though, just a copy. :(

Probably the house itself. The oldest actual item are some paintings from the 40's-50's.

Well, there's this mini organ I have in my basement. It used to be my great-grandma's.
Other than that, probably my mom.

Silly Lichi.

Body parts in the attic, little girls in the basement.

When will you ever learn?

Not anymore. It got tore down. :'(

Apparently, alot of things in the house wern't up to code, and Grandma couldn't afford to fix all the stuff, so the fuzz bought the deed. Tore it down just recently.

I miss that place. :'(

The house itself (except for the current kitchen).  Made in 1903.

Not counting the house, I have nooooooo clue.

I have a 19th century bible. I'm not sure, but I seriously doubt anything else in the house is older than that.
