Best: FLCL and Eureka 7, possibly Cowboy Bebop after I get around to finishing the series.
Worst: Anything shown on Toonami, Fox Kids, Kids WB...basically anything ever dubbed and shown on television in North America, with a select few that aren't. And no Viewtiful Joe is not one of those few.
It's funny how you all agree that Naruto is the worst anime. Because my friend and his friend have a started a GOSH DAMN RELIGION about it. It's sooooo stupid. They call all of the mangas they have parts of their "Bible". The only reason I don't like Naruto is the yelling and the dialouge (sp?) :P

One Piece isn't nearly as hyped as Naruto or Bleach. And It's much better. Countless times Naruto and Bleach play that "try to make you feel bad for a character card". And I've never felt it. Not once, but twice I actually felt sorry for someone in One Piece. It's not "olol ima rubbaman" like people make it out to be.
And Bleach still has the most ridiculous power jumps I've ever seen. The very fact that Ichigo achieved Bankai in 3 days, when it took the "strongest" literally years is intercourse ing ridiculous. He rushed it and is still stronger than everyone? =/

I picked Trinity Blood and especially Inuyasha as the best because they actually have a developing and constantly-fluxuating plot that could change at any moment to even a die-hard fan's surprise. Granted, neither of the two are really airing new episodes anymore, but they are still great anime shows with exceptionally great voice actors.
The reason why I didn't pick Bleach is because I've never seen it, therefore I can't comment on it. But, I just have to say that Naruto and One Piece are starting to get annoying, I used to like them. The English dub ruined Naruto, and no offense, but Luffie's voice is even more annoying than Naruto's is. The pirate-in-an-anime concept doesn't strike me as interesting.

I only just started watching anime, only thing I have seen is naruto and one piece both japanese versions VJ english version and I like one piece and naruto but VJ...
When i was sick I watched the first 2 episodes of VJ and my god they were awful

Well, some of them do. One of my friends is obsessed with anime and watches the Japanese stuff on YouTube.
Yeah, I have a bunch of friends that are avidly into Japanese anime, especially one of them who pretty much lives on the stuff. Also, it seems as though most of the core anime fans are attracted to either Chemistry Club or D&D Club, which coincidentally meet in the same room.

An animes success depends on a few things:
1. The animation
2. The voice acting
3. Appeal
From what I've seen of the VJ anime, it's hard to look at and is poorly animated, the voice actors try WAY too hard to act "cool", and I can only see hardcore VJ fans watching it.
Junior's voice actor puts TONS of heart into her role! And so does Captain's Blue's! In fact I think Blue sounds exactly like he does in the game!

Naruto is by far my least favorite I've ever seen. I used to like the manga in middle school, back when Shonen Jump was pretty much the only source unless you were a really hardcore fan. But the anime? Shit, the English dub? It was godawful. I saw it on TV, and I immediately lost respect for everyone I knew who watched it. Sqeualy pre-pubescent voices (yeah, they're kids, but they don't have to sound like crying babies) and they just annoyed me.
Even Sasuke annoyed me in the anime, and when I read the manga I thought he was the coolest mofo on the planet. I guess that's pretty much the point of Sasuke and the point of every obligatory anime badass: Impressing small children. All of the voilence that I thought was cool in the manga was nowhere to be seen. It was a blood free slapfest that reminded me of children fighting. I mean, that's what it was, but it didn't have to remind me so much of it.
My main problem with it was that I wanted to see awesome ninjas kicking asses and taking names, and instead I got young children knocking eachother around for half an hour.
OK, and now for the favorites.
Ghost In The Shell S.A.C. is probably my favorite serious anime. I like the characters, I like the technology, I like the plot, and I think everything about it is done very well. My one problem with it is that some of the animation for the dialogue scenes is done very cheaply. I understand that that's how anime works and 2 frame speaking animations are unavoidable, but I wish they'd at least throw a few head movements in there to keep me awake.
My second favorite semi-serious anime is Samurai Champloo. Meiji era Japan + modern culture = success. When my friend explained it to me I thought "that sounds dumb," but I gave it a try and I loved it. I really, really loved it.
My favorite comedy one is Azumanga Daioh, no contest. I thought I'd hate it when I first started watching it, but I got into it. It's one of tne of the few shows that actually makes me laugh.
