Trying something new. I'm concerned about the black background. What do you guys think?

Well V2 is the best imo, though colors seem a bit too saturated on all of them and not a fan of that imo. Good flow could a use lil more depth, but its good overall.

It would be easier if i knew the concept of it, but from my point of view it looks like a map of some sort. If thats the case the effects seem worn out imo.

Main thing u need to focus onis Depth and Compo...  or effect and placing. The best one is the one for Deezlink imo.

Its ok, but i don't like the fact everything seems blurred, and the fact the lines seem mess up, clean up the lines or what appears to be affects over its, and make it a little less blurry and then it's a winner. :)

Thanks for the C&C. The BG was supposed to be blurred and the line was supposed to be ragged. Guess it just didn't come out as well as I imagined. :P

Anyway plan to enter one of these two in the contest at NS2.

Like how you put those "lightsaber" effects in Gimp to good use :).

Text is unreadable, colors are weird but sorta help blend, effects/depth is just weird imo, and compo could also be a tad better.

C&C please. Wasn't going for realistic fire, but for it to at least look good. I've yearned to do that since I first downloaded Gimp. Did I finally accomplish that? And no, I don't have anything against windows.

Close but the color Variations look back, needs a bit more red on the left. Also could use more particles to give of a bit of spark feel to the fire. Nice though, like the concept :P

Colors, depth, lighting, and compo needs work.

Red and yellow don't look good. I see absolutely no lighting. Composition is a bit off. Effect could use some more work, add some smudging, vector's and or c4d's.

THe "b&w w/ focal point colored" style usually doesn't go so well. Don't try to do this, it usually just looks bad.
I dislike the border on the bottom.
The smudging is okay, but the sig has so little contrast. I feel that the light grey in the upper-left quadant of the sig should be white. The render looks like a floating head, and is facing away from the sig, which makes it look weird imo.

Fhs :( Floating Head Syndrome.... Smudging is good, lighting, can't tell if there is any, the blue eyes kind throw the whole Tag off. border seems random.

Anyways its very Low Quality, you need a better image. the text is too pixely, and your simplicity works in some ways, but tech  imo does not work on this one, and its very monotone. All i can say is to work on depth(effects) and color.
