He was in his own movie and many have thinked than he was a legendary Pokémon, but after Pokémon Diamond and Pearl versions were realesed, it was confirmed Lucario was in fact a normal Pokémon like every other Pokémon.

Kumatora: But nowadays many trainers has Lucario as an strong Pokémon to their teams.
