Utorrent leaks information to ISPs if IIRC.  I use BitComet, but theres tons of torrenting programs out there.

Time Warner Cable recently acquired the company that produces uTorrent.  A leak was added to it that sends information to Time Warner, so they know how much you've been downloading/uploading and the sorts of content involved.

No, Time Warner doesn't own BitTorrent or uTorrent.
