Watching Miyamoto demonstrating it on stage right now, glad they went back to a cartoony look. Seriously, the art styling is awesome and the game looks pretty fun. Hopefully they fix the 1:1 sword movement, it's not quite perfect...

Tuppy frightens me with his knowledge of legacy technology.

The cartoony realistic look is awesome, yeah. Can't wait to play it.

...but the motion controls just don't seem that refined yet. I hope they fix that.

Twilight Waker much? This graphic style is screwing with my mind... It's so beautiful!!!!!! I've been hoping for years that they would return to OoT/MM's midway point between realism and cartooniness.

Actually... I don't care for the look. Looks really...strange. It's like they're trying to do both WW and TP and it looks...odd.

To be honest, I was kind of underwhelmed. The area looks kind of bland, but then again, all early Zelda games do. I love the "wireless interference." Maybe the game just, ya know, doesn't play well? I guess we'll see, but it looks like it doesn't play as well as I'd hoped based on the video. *waits for a demo feed of people actually playing it*

gawd...., wow. definitely can't wait for the realease of the game.....
the graphics are really cool. kinda of a combination of twilight princess and wind waker.
the motion controls could use some definite work, it should hopefully be good when it releases....

the graphics are really cool. kinda of like an updated Ocarina of Time.
Fixed. It looks nothing like Twilight Princess, and that's a good thing.
Holy crap all my sigs were always poop. Best leave this space alone.

I'm sure it's just a beta issue; remember, this is ZELDA we're talking about. It is going to be good, or Nintendo would not make it. I was a tad disappointed at the lack of cutscenes and all around epicness, though; it was almost all gameplay, with a grand total of zero NPCs or towns or story or anything besides this random forest and lava.

Speaking of which, where the heck is mystery blue girl from our poster?!?! Hopefully it's gone over a bit more in detail over the next couple days.

I was wondering that myself with regards to mystery girl. No details on the story at all? Really? So...he's in a forest and has a few gadgets...woo.
I agree that it will be good, Nintendo won't let it be otherwise, but the demo looks REALLY incomplete to be honest. At least they showed it, and we have a grasp on the situation, so I'm happy with just that. They really need to wow us at TGS or whatever their next big event is though.
Also, it better come with the WMP, because I'm not spending MORE money on a peripheral I'm going to use on one game...

There was a brief video on Kotaku of someone playing. Looks MUCH better than how Nintendo themselves did it (seriously you'd think they'd learn to get guys you can actually PLAY the game demo them). However, I'm still worried about that split second lag, which I'm sure will kill you more often than not. That's why I think this will get delays up the arse, because if there's even the slightest lag in the controller, it won't work. Still, a lot of my fears were put to rest based on that video.

Triforceman22

So far, it looks pretty good.
They'll more than likely have the motion controls down to perfection once the game ships out in 2011 2012..

You know that they're gonna delay it.  :P

QuoteRobotnik: GET A LOAD OF THIS!!!!!!!!

Hey, does anyone besides me notice that he's wielding the Master Sword? What about this "Skyward Sword" in the title, huh? I mean, if the plot revolves around some other sword, why bring the Master Sword in at all? Unless, perhaps the Skyward Sword is pure plot material, like "Majora's Mask."

BOREDFOREVER

I will buy this game, and I will play it.  I will probably enjoy it, as long as it is longer/ has more content that TP did.  Meh to the art style, but it's not going to stop me from enjoying the game.

Maybe he starts with the master sword and it evolves into some sort of skyward sword.  Or it could also reference verticality in the game, which seems to be hinted with him jumping off of something high at the end.  Will he jump off of high things?  Is that the gimmick for this game?

Cornwad

That's the best art style I've seen in a Zelda game. It's like Ocarina of Time but more. Apparently the controls work perfectly close up.

"This time around, Link is born and raised in a land called Sky Loft, a land floating above the clouds. It may sound unique for someone to live on a floating land, but Link finds it ordinary. A land beneath the clouds is discovered, it's ruled by evil forces, but Link is forced to go there. Link has to travel between the two lands in this adventure. The Skyward Sword is his driving force behind his traveling between lands. That mysterious figure in last year's art is the Skyward Sword. People suspected this to be the Master Sword...but spoiler alert, the Skyward Sword becomes the Master Sword. (laughs)."

HOLY PLOT REVELATION, BATMAN!!

Nayrman

As long as the dark land below isn't ruled by GANON it'll be a great, original story.
